Hi,

Using Firefox version 83.0 on MacBook Pro 2019 16 inch model. When I pause a video on any webpage, I hear a sudden loud "crack" sound from the speakers. It also happens when I unpause, jump backward or forward in the video. If I mute the sound of the video and try to pause/unpause, there is no problem.

I checked the same situation with other browsers. There are no problems with them.

I hope there is a solution to this.

Thanks.

Hi I am living in Toronto Canada and I am using the Toronto library Canada, renting paper books and ebooks and e-magazines with https://www.overdrive.com/.With Firefox windows 10 and Firefox android 10 I can enlarge fonts of the eBooks, but not for some e-magazines as the economist.com here attached.Even if I set the font 300% of my usual font on my browser, the font size of the magazine does not change.I hope that Firefox could help solve this problem for me and for my senior friends.

Thanks,

Have a nice day.

It would be nice for Firefox to have more than just the last open session available. I recently had to close my browser a couple times to restart my mac. When I re-opened Firefox, the previous open session was gone. It would be nice if the browser had a way of saving not only the very last previous open session but earlier ones.

Maybe someone knows how to easily access those. It seems as though Chrome has started saving earlier sessions.

I got some old files saved as HMT. At present HMT extension is set to be opened by Firefox. When I click the file it only shows the blank page and my file path in the top of the Firefox browser.

Refer screen shot. If I click to open it will again show the same window.

Is there any way to open/view HMT file, if, so then how? As these are older files am I making any mistake? Thank you.

Tell me how to go back to older FF version. As it is I cannot do ANYTHING without constantly getting blocked by FF.

The security idea is great, but not if it renders connection to trusted sights impossible. I get this even from official government websites.

Unfortunately the "on" "off" dichotomy without allowing for exceptions too often results in work stoppage and work arounds.

You are simply too early with the security demands and FF users NEED to be able to have an exception list until such time as the security implementations are universal.

If I constantly have to switch to edge as I have had to, I might as well bury Firefox and use edge. This is sad for someone who goes back to Netscape & early Firefox

I'll thank you when you fix the allow exceptions in FF or when websites have "caught up" with website accessibility issues.

Hello. How can I enable 5.1 surround sound simulation in the browser? My OS is Windows 7. Everything is configured in the operating system settings. When playing music and videos through the player, there is surround sound. I am well aware that the browser produces stereo sound, but it can be decomposed into a 5.1 channel. In Google Chrome, this feature is implemented, but I like the Firefox browser. Thanks for attention.

After the last FireFox update (87.0, 64-bit), whenever I open a new tab my usb WiFi adapter quites. I then remove the adapter from the usb port and plug it back in then I'm good to go until I open a new tab. Has anyone experienced this problem. Also happens if all add-ons are disabled, does not happen with any other browser.

I have a few questions about Firefox:

1) Did the position of Recently closed carts change recently? I have to go through Library -> History -> Recently closed carts to access. It was possible to view closed carts easier if I'm not mistaken.

2). Google translate does not work properly (the one that appears after searching translate). When I paste something to translate both windows become inactive and I can't write nor edit anything.

3). When I'm logging into my Firefox account there is a notification that I need second device to synchronize. I have Firefox on only one device and just wanted to log in no need to synchronize. Can I do anything about it? Is everything good? Also I have 3 positions in Connected services, one is Firefox 87, my windows, another one is Firefox Support and the third one is Firefox of the user Admin and my windows profile name. Is this how it should be? I'm logged on only one device.

I had 2 windows open one with 4 tabs and the other had one tab. My computer was nearly unresponsive (the mouse was leaving a trail of little white turds) and so I shut it down knowing that Firefox would restore my session. Apparently when there are two windows open only one is restored. In this case it was the window with one tab.

Is this considered a feature, an area for improvement, or a don't care?

As several of the tabs needed were not listed in recently closed , I can slog through yesterday's history to find them but I hope this can be addressed.

Thanx, John

Using latest version of Firefox for Mac (although this problem happened with some previous versions as well).

When I have more than one tab open, and I click the X at the corner of a tab to close it, my Firefox window suddenly jumps to full screen. I have to drag the browser window from the edge to get it back to my original size. This behavior happens at other odd times as well, and the suddenly jumping to full screen gets really annoying. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this problem?

I have developed a Wordpress website with custom javascript written so that selecting a thumbnail image and then clicking on a button that says "Play Videos" will begin playback. If multiple thumbnail images are selected then a playlist is created and the videos will playback sequentially in the order selected. In Firefox, after playback of the video corresponding to first thumbnail image selected, the video player (JWPlayer) shows a message "Video can't play because the file is corrupt". However, clicking again on the "PlayVideos" button will begin playback of the second video and so on. The sequential playback of the playlist functions properly in Chrome, Safari, and MSEdge. In an effort to resolve this issue, I did check the autoplay function in Preferences and it is set to allow both video and audio but did not solve the problem. I would very much appreciate any suggestions as to how to resolve this issue.
