Firefox asked me to update every time I opened it. Downloading and installing firefox, always said udating didn't work, download firefox upate now. Tried dozens of times. Then said needed to go to new firefox, did that, had to create account, did that, now have lost all the bookmarks. Tried selfhelp to restore bookmarks, incomplete instructions or not working. Some math typesetting doesn't render. Neither on my desktop Firefox nor my android Firefox installs. I believe it is just KaTeX, especially from pages with github type markdown rendering.

This does not render correctly [image attached]. It appears to be a 'math-jax' typesetter actually, judging by the header scripts.

This does render... eventually. But the page layout jumps around. It displays the underlying tex for a bit before the typesetter executes. Very usable but a little jarring every time it loads.

The problem persists in safe-mode. I have also tried multiple extensions to force or add rendering support but none have helped.

Hello!

I have firefox 74 (64-bit), after one of the bluescreens that sometimes happen for my laptop, my Firefox tabs became very, very transparent.

This is it how it looked before: https://puu.sh/Fnzh1/b606c91b73.jpg

This is how it looks now: https://puu.sh/FLYyk/63fb3fab0e.jpg

As you can see, in both cases I have 3 tabs opened and some other firefox window below. However, opacity is very high in the first case and you almost don't see anything else aside of the 3 tabs opened, while in the current situation is like non-existent and if not the difference in the size of the tabs, you wouldn't even notice that these tabs are not from the current window, but from some other window below!

Can someone help me understand how it happened and, more importantly, how to fix this problem? I tried searching options for things like 'transparency', 'transparent', 'opacity', etc., but couldn't find anything :-(

I need to download a Visio file with the file extension .vsdx from a program online where I must save the file to my computer. However, Firefox automatically labels the content type as a Firefox document, and adds htm at the end of the file. It does not matter if I change the document type to Visio, this continues to happen. It will even save the file as Firefox document, .vsdx.htm. Yes, I have checked my program defaults.

I really just need someone to help me change the code to make Firefox recognize that .vsdx is a forking Visio Drawing file, and not a Firefox document.

Thank you in advance.

Hi! im moving to firefrox from chrome and im really happy with it but the main trouble i have is that i work with one page in particular in wich i must load documentation, to make it i must click and then a pop up should appear (Is in the pop-up where i drag the documents and load them into the page). I've tried it with the latest firefox on Windows 10, a previous version of firefox on Windows 7, on ubuntu, with and without Add-ons and that page in particular wont let the pop-up appear. BUT! if i try it with my phone (with iOS) works completly fine. This thing is driving me crazy, for real. I dont understand why the pop-up wont appear on web but yes on mobile... PLEASE HELP! (Also, i gave the page the permissions to enable pop-ups and re-installed Adobe)

Formerly, one could reorder tabs in a Firefox browser window by clicking and dragging. One could also click and hold a tab and move it to create a new window or take a tab from one window, click and drag it to another window. I am no longer able to do this on my Mac laptop, after updating to Firefox 71. I can't seem to find a special setting in Firefox 71. Is there one or a way to allow tab movement? Or do I need to revert to the previous version of Firefox?

I have been using Comodo's Ice Dragon for many years but, as all development stopped after Firefox v65, I now wish to go back to Firefox, however I need all my open tabs from Ice Dragon in this current version of Firefox v76. Both browsers are synced and indeed CID's tabs do appear in my Synced tabs menu but I prefer to have them on the top as open tabs. Is there a way to do that other than by opening them one at a time please?

Firefox offers the option to "Fill login" through the context menu (see attached image) when ever in a login or password field. However I am using Bitwarden instead of the Firefox password manager and disabled saving passwords in Firefox. Is there a way to remove this "Fill login" action as it always just shows that no logins are saved?

Thanks, Mattias

I currently run Windows 8.1 on my laptop. I upgraded to Firefox 73 a couple of days ago, and now when I open Firefox, I immediately get an error box and the message that "Firefox has stopped working". Nothing seems to fix the problem. I also run Google Chrome, and have not issues with it. Here are the details of the problem: Problem signature:
