I've got a new computer I am setting up from scratch, and though I have set FF to sync settings, I'm still having to customize a lot. My bookmarks toolbar is crowded again with icons and I'd like those to go away. I don't mind other icons staying around on the tabs--that does help me navigate faster. I had this set up before, but lost the setting when I refreshed Firefox.

I am having issues after updating to the latest version of Firefox. When opening a Google Meet meeting, my Firefox browser crashes and it keeps doing again and again. Otherwise, the browser works just fine.

Worked until 90 or 91, works in all other browsers and even in FF on iOS/iPadOS, now I only get an endless "loading …" icon. No idea what to do. Tried to disable Ghostery, but that did not help. Greetings, at one point my Adobe Acrobat add on was available with my Firefox desktop version installed on my MacBook Pro (Big Sur 11.6); however, it vanished. I attempted to uninstall reinstall both Firefox and Adobe Acrobat, but it has not returned. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get this back? Thank you!

I am trying to organize my homepage tiles with shortcuts to the sites I frequent most.

Some sites have their logo automatically appear in the tiles, for other websites it does not.

For those that the logo does not appear automatically, I edit the tile and select "Use a custom image"

Upon entering the URL, the image appears in the preview, but once I save, the tiles appears blank (just a white square).

Any suggestions on what I can do? Ive tried various images for various tiles - it appears as soon as I try to add a custom one it goes blank (see screen shot as example)

Can someone tell me how to uninstall this extension? I was trying to add extensions that make PDFs of web pages. In the course of doing this I ended up getting an extension that periodically pops out a page of reviews that it's already shown each time. It brings me to a blog by a Harlan Gertz. I've turned off any extensions that didn't say who the creator was. I don't see any by this name. Still it pops up all the time. How can it be popping up this website if I don't have an extension that is made by this person? Is there another way to force pop-ups? Does anyone know the name of this extension? Thanks for any help. I really want to avoid having to re-install Firefox. This is on a Mac.

Hi, none of the videos appear/play on this CNN site that is all about videos. Only still shots appear. The videos play in Chrome. Here is the site: https://www.cnn.com/2021/04/23/world/videos-of-the-week-mobile-april-23/index.html

I've already tried toggling the "Enhanced Protection" switch off and on to no effect. I don't see any option for enabling/disabling permissions for audio/video in the address bar as appear on other sites offering video or audio. Thanks for any remedies.

Hi Guys, Firefox crashes now and then, and when it does, it changes my default search engine.

When this happens, "Browser Default" is added to 'search Shortcuts' and selected.

To revert back to Google, it has to be selected, and removed.

I have come to the conclusion, that this is a deliberate action, caused by some form of Malware or similar, as it is the only thing that appears to change, and always happens when Firefox crashes.

On the other rare occasions that Firefox crashes, it returns asking to return to previous sessions, and does so without issue - these crashes are extremely infrequent, however, the previous example is like clockwork.

Hoping you can help.

The notice says that 2 of the files I've attempted to download contain malware, and that the 3rd one just failed to download. I've clicked on "clear all downloads" several times, but the notice keeps coming back. I've securely trashed these files from my computer download folder, but am concerned that the malware is causing the notice to come back repeatedly. How can I make it go away?

I have a new doctor with a portal I've not used before. When I send a message, it gets garbled. Example: "I’m glad I pursued an elaboration of this report. It was mildly comforting as it says “has low malignant probability but does require follow-up." I don’t see a way to do an attachment so I’ll cut and paste." The part I cut and pasted was fine. I am on Firefox 92.0.1 and a Mac Laptop. The previous version of Firefox did this too. In this message, it appears not to like apostrophes or quotation marks specifically. My doctor doesn't appreciate trying to decipher them and I am not happy that he can't read them without a problem since we are talking about a potentially serious problem causing me a lot of anxiety. What is the solution? And when will Firefox fix it so I don't have to each time? Thanks!

I use an iMac with 3 displays as follows:

[1080p] - [1080p MAIN] - [2048x11152 Retina]

I use all 3 displays for browser windows but primarily the centre one.

When I drag a Firefox tab from the 1080p screens to the Retina screen, the UI is way too small to work with. All other applications seem to scale the UI properly though.

I'm attaching screenshots of: 1. the same website in Chrome vs Firefox on the 1080p display (both have suitable UI sizes) 2. the same website in Chrome vs Firefox on the Retina display (Firefox's UI is too small)

Is there any way to resolve this short of increasing the Firefox UI scale globally (which would take too much space on the 1080p screens)?

I'm using: MacOS 11.2.3 Firefox 88.0

First, the problem does not occur using Chrome or Safari. On one site I visit regularly I am no longer able to use the PM and comment functions. I have checked with the site's webmaster and am confident the problem is not at their end. Suggestions short of deserting Firefox?

It seems version 93 has introduced a method of reducing bandwidth by disconnect tabs from websites, but reconnects upon selecting the tab. This is causing havoc when I am logged into several websites. Sites tabs that do not have focus force me to log back in when selecting the tab.

I am not concerned in saving bandwidth.

How do I disable this feature?

Good day, I know that this question has been going around lately but I hope that it finds traction soon. I am not going to be able to use Firefox soon going forward due to the bookmark spacing. I know that it sounds a perhaps a bit picayune but it is ruining my experience and more than that, although it seems counter intuitive, I cannot take in the column or divide out items without them all spaced closely together. I will need to find another browser if I cannot have the old spacing back.... and I really prefer Firefox. Anyhow... Thanks for your time and for your service! Kind regards, Mark
