I'm using Firefox 127.0.2 on Arch Linux. In settings under General>Startup>"Open previous windows and tabs" is not checked. Under about:config browser.sessionstore.restore_on_demand is false, and browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash is false

How do I get Firefox to give me a clean slate after restarting my computer?

I have ordered some goods online and have been offered the option to track the goods. But I can't, because Firefox thinks the tracking page has a fake certificate.

I can go to the website of the delivery company and it has a box where I can enter the order number. This is ambiguous (more than one supplier uses the company) so it lists the two possibilities. I click on the right one and it is at this stage I get the fake certificate warning. I cannot bypass it, because trying to do so simply brings up the same warning.

I've been in touch with the suppliers. Their customer service desk can track the order with no problem. So where is the problem?

They say they can track it using Firefox on Windows, Android and Mac systems but have no Linux available. I only have two Linux systems here (Ubuntu 22.04 and 20.04), running the latest Firefox on offer (128.0.2 64 bit), both of which throw up the fake certificate problem, but with slightly different certificate dates (within the last 5 weeks), older than the genuine cert. I have pdfs of both the genuine one and one of the fake ones as produced by Firefox.

This is not a show-stopper this time as I can track the order by phone and email, but there is clearly a problem somewhere, either with both the Firefox versions I have or with the certification verification process.

If it's a Firefox issue, I don't know how to let them know.

Please advise how to disable automatic updates on Firefox running on Linux Kubuntu. Solutions posted on mozilla.org do not work because stated disable options are not available(see screenshot). I have set app.auto.update to false in about:config but this does not disable updates. I have been repeatedly advised not to disable updates so I am aware of the so called risk. I am very tired of every update breaking a reliable browser and having to repair/fix/workaround each and every time. Please provide a viable solution.

I downloaded geckodriver from https://github.com/mozilla/geckodriver/releases

but I would like to verify the integrity of the download. I tried to do this by running gpg --verify geckodriver-v0.34.0-linux-aarch64.tar.gz.asc geckodriver-v0.34.0-linux-aarch64.tar.gz but it looks like the key used to sign the release has not been imported on my system. Where can I find this key used to sign the geckodriver?

Firefox has long been my browser of choice on all platforms. I am switching from Windows to Linux and have recently found problems playing some videos on the Linux version of Foxfire. I don’t know if it’s a matter of having the right codec or something else. The videos play with Chromium on Linux and with Firefox on my Android smartphone. The pdf gets overwritten by the new text when it is scrolled down or up and the whole pdf becomes messy. I have attached an image showing the same. The terminal gets into the background of the pdf and any other application that is opened on the screen.

A friend informs me that Firefox settings > General > Browsing > Always show scrollbars has been removed in version 129.

This is alarming because I need that option for accessibility reasons.

Could you please check and, if necessary, reinstate this vital option?

Using the Firefox with Google search engine, and below it has several icons for direct links to urls.

How do these links get there ? How do I delete one and replace with another link ?

Hi, To who it may concern, a big thank you. I am a longtime Linux Firefox user. I had a secondary password, but somehow it has been deleted. I have changed my primary password and I have full access to Gmail, Youtube and other Google pages. My email address has always been the same for many years. It is recognised by Firefox when I type "My account on Firefox" though I am not allowed to enter another secondary email address.

Why can´t my email within Outlook not be shown. "error" Your email cant be shown at the moment. Try again lather or check your Internet connection.

In other browsers an android phone there is no problems. P.s. I have just updated Firefox. to version 127 for Linux Kind regards Bent

The system continues to tell me that my original email address is the primary address. That address has been hacked and I need to remove it and replace it. I am then told I need to add a secondary address before I can change. I go into the area where this is done and when I press add it says that the new address is already there. How do I get rid of the hacked address and replace it with the new one (which Mozilla does actually recognize!)?

I need to take part in a course that is delivered via moodle and that employs SCORM videos.

After some modules I am experiencing an issue where firefox does not load them anymore. When you try to load a module a spinner appears and stays there indefintely.

Initially, trying to reload the module could eventually unblock it. Now this is not possible anymore. Disabling the enhanced protection does not change the situation.

The modules work just fine with chromium.

Having firefox being a stopper for online learning resources is a real issue. Any help will be appreciated.

Just for info this site works fine on other browsers on same machine, and on other machines. It is a Firefox issue.

I recently switched from windows to Linux, and was using it for 3 months now. It was due to window recall Feature. But still i was using chrome as default and daily browser. I wanted to explore firefox, its great actually, except 2 things which might need me to switch back to chrome or brave.

1. it don't have fu**king Profile switch, I mean i use 11 Profiles On Chrome, most people still use 2-4 profiles, how can we move to a browser that dont support profiles. I know we can add profiles by "about:Profiles" I tried it. It worked but guess what? To switch profile i have to manually go to that page to launch it. So much time consuming and frustrating. Why not simply add a btn on profile pic like chrome to switch profiles?

2. Add-ons is good thing, but there should be a way to install things from chrome web store, i not found any.

If firefox can fix these two things firefox can simply grow back to 30+ % market share, but if not people will just test l;like me and go.
