Since a recent update the spacing of words in Firefox's UI as well as on some websites seems to be wider than normal (instead of a singular space it seems as if each space is now a tab wide). Additionally the numbers have also suffered and are now not presented in a normal font anymore but instead seem bigger and grey instead of white or black. Both of these issues occurred at the same time and appear on the normal User Interface of Firefox (e.g. in the bookmarks or in Firefox's settings and preferences) as well as on some websites/search engines. However when copying the text and numbers from Firefox into a regular text editor everything seems normal and no appearance issues can be noticed. What I've already tried: I've restarted my system multiple times since the issue first occurred. I've removed all contents from /home/user/.mozilla/firefox. I've reinstalled Firefox. I've deleted my cache. I've changed my font preferences in Firefox back to Default(Roboto) after having used Inter before. None of my actions above have changed anything. However, when I log into a different user on my computer and open Firefox there everything seems to be normal, so it seems as if this is a user-specific problem.

I just upgraded to Ubuntu 22.04 and along with that I upgraded Firefox. It's no longer possible to scroll the comment section of articles, just the main page. I've seen this on both the National Review and the NY Times. The scroll bar is also not persistent, it only shows up when the mouse is over it. Is there a way to fix this or is this a bug in Firefox 100.0?

I updated the operative system on my laptop but, when I opened Firefox and signed into my profile, it didn't import my old bookmarks, only the browsing history. Passwords and other data are all there, only the bookmarks are gone.

Is there a way to get them back?

Hi, I'm having some issue with the syncing of bookmarks. Some changes in bookmarks in one device (desktop) don't synchronize properly to others devices (desktop also). I have lost many bookmarks, names changed that don't change, disappearing of complete folders, etc. This are the last three error-sync-number.txt files I have on about:sync-log of an affected device, hope someone notices something relevant that could help me solve this horrible problem. Since I've upgraded to Ubuntu 22.04 "Firefox" randomly started closing it's self without any crash report what so ever.

I've read some article on Ubuntu forums but I couldn't find any helpful information (Or they didn't work for me)

Please anyone help! I've been using Firefox all the time and has never crashed until the upgrade to Ubuntu 22.04

Hello, I was trying to fix this issue on my browser but I was not able to do it. The OS is Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS 64-bit. Currently, I'm using Firefox version 99.0a1 but I had the same issue on version 97. Also, I have this issue on only one of my PCs. As I said in the subject: - The browser freezes the whole PC and I have to force reboot it. (I already disabled the hardware acceleration) - the recent download item open button does not trigger the opening of the folder. - If I try to download a file, the browser ask me where to save it. Hello! Please, implement the built-in speed dial, like in Opera and Vivaldi. It's extremely convenient and useful, lots of people need this. I've been using Firefox for more than 10 years and I hate your stupid "Firefox Home" page (sorry) on desktop and Android with icons that add automatically and I can't change and locate. It's inconvenient and completely useless. It would be great if you create something like Opera 12.17 or 12.18 had. In addition, please remove the "close" button in the last tab. I know that I can do it via the "config mode" (browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab), but it's not user-friendly. It's inconvenient when you close the tab just to return home, but the whole browser closes. It makes me nervous. Thank you in advance! You are doing a great job, wish you good luck, and hope that one day Firefox will be more popular than Chromium-based browsers.

Hello, I am using Firefox 100 on Arch Linux (5.17.6-arch1-1) with GNOME 42.1, and after recent updates i doesn't play any videos, it is buffering them, plays a frame and pauses.

1. I reinstalled firefox. 2. I cleaned cache && cookies. 3. I removed extensions.

Firefox only uses custom minimize/maximize buttons when I select show toolbar. When not selected, it seems to use the windows 10 window decoration. I am using arch linux with kde plasma and firefox 100. Is there any way for firefox to use the system wide minimize/maximize buttons

I'm using my PC for local web development. I use Firefox as my regular browser and recently, in order to distinguish between personal time and development time, I've established a new profile just for development purposes.

The local website I can't reach is "site.local.dev". My OS is Ubuntu 20.04 and that URL points to a local IP on my network (resolved via /etc/hosts file on my PC).

Funny thing is that: - In dev-profile: site.local.dev does not work => "Unable to connect" and the URL bar shows https://site.local.dev even if I force it to http:// - In personal-profile: site.local.dev does work :P

I have tried with CLI tools like "wget", "hosts", "ping", "telnet" and so on and the site loads ok. Even I have used Dillo (damn simple web browser) and the site loads ok also.

Things I've tried so far: - Suggestions at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-cant-load-websites-other-browsers-can - Suggestions at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1011327 (similar issue, not exactly the same).

It must be a silly thing but I'm out of options now. Perhaps anybody has faced to this situation in the past: any suggestion on this issue?.

In the past few days Firefox has stopped showing html pages on my other partitions. Has Firefox changed the way they are doing things or is this a new bug?

The screenshot below shows a web page I regularly use that I keep snippets and brief programming notes. It and all links on all partitions except the root drive are no-longer accessible.

I have used Firefox for over 10 years and never had this happen.

Any ideas what may have happened?

I have set up 11 custom devices that max the min and max sizes of bootstrap grid system (xs-min-360w, xs-max-575, etc) to aid me with checking my website on various screen sizes. Is there anyway to export this list or better still to synch them with my Firefox account so I don't lose these settings?

I am using Firefox Developer Edition (101.0b6 (64-bit)) on Ubuntu 20.04.

I saw where this was a problem with Netflix, Amazon Video and other sites with Fire Fox and that one person even used professional version and still had the same problem.

What I cannot see is where he got the video codex that allow Netflix to work on Fire Fox version 88, let alone this newest version that Mozilla has created.

FF updated yesterday with the new Ubuntu 22.04 (Pop) update to 99.01. Since the update the volume control inputs are essentially disabled on all web sites, and they default to max - even when muted.

Example - youtube - all videos play full volume Reddit - even muted videos play full volume

The volume can now only be controlled by the system slider.

The same behavior does not occur in other browsers - e.g. Chromium, Opera, etc.

Can anyone assist?

Recently i realized firefox is not saving cache where it used to. that happens some versions ago to now.

By a sudden necessity, i need to access images stored in cache by facebook.

however, firefox has moved its cache, and have no idea where it stores it now.

the second point, is, if there is any way of "surf" cache, im not sure but i wonder, the cache is not what used to be, a collection of files related to what you surfed in the web, videos, htmls, pictures, etc.

I seems the cache now works in a different way, making solid archives composed of many images-videos..., instead of separate files for every image-video.

So, in a brief, 2 things:

- where is cache now - how can i access files in it, (images videos ..)

I am having trouble getting individual autofill entries in Firefox on Linux Mint deleted. There are a few I have in some lists for a couple different websites that have some spelling mistakes. I have a few hundred of them that are regularly used and I really do not want to clear them all and start over.

Highlighting them and hitting the delete key is not working, and using shift-delete (that works of Mac) is also not working. I have been searching and cannot seem to find an answer to why this is not working for my with Linux. Can anyone provide a solution or point me in the right direction?

So this issue just started and it's really annoying.

In order to actually see the downloads, I first have to enable the menu bar and then go Tools -> Downloads

Clicking the ↓ button should open a panel of recent downloads but nothing appears when I click on it. Furthermore, the "download complete" notification that this panel provides are no longer present.

The animation for the panel still works though.

Is there a solution to this?

Hi, I'd like to disable that annoying animation when going to fullscreen (by hitting F11). Supposedly, setting the following should work:

Go to about:config

Set: full-screen-api.transition-duration.enter 0 0 full-screen-api.transition-duration.leave 0 0 full-screen-api.transition.timeout 0 full-screen-api.warning.delay 0 full-screen-api.warning.timeout 0

Restart

However, this does not have any effect in Firefox 94.0 on Ubuntu. Is this a bug/regression? Or is there some other way to disable the animation?

I cleared the cache. Instructed to check DNS server automatically but I can not find that under Edit - Settings. Do I need to do something different?
