Hi, I have a Firefox account since long, I use it to publish my add-on. I haven't signed in recently and didn't take action when I've received an email that developers should move to 2FA. Now I'm trying to sign in to my account but it's always asking for the 6 digits security code, even though I have never set up 2FA on my account and thus don't know which authenticator app I need to use. Neither do I have recovery codes - naturally. Can anyone help me with my account? Best regards, Kaspar

Hi, I have an issue with making the separators in the bookmark toolbar drop-downs visible. I am running Firefox 95 with the Quantum - dark Blue theme installed. I am running Linix Mint Uma.
The dropdown have separator - space - but no line showing that there is a separator. I have tried many ways to make the separators visible and with light-grey colouring in the userChrome.css file but nothing changes.
Anybody have any idea what can be done or where I might change the Quantum-DarkBlue coding to incorporate the visible separators?

Start firefox, go to youtube. Run a video with voices.
Start a 2nd window of firefox. Youtube, go to bestbuy.com . For me, under X11, about as quickly as bestbuy.com opens up, the sound in the first window begins to lag the video. If I stop the first video, the buffered up sound plays until it catches up with the stopped video. If I re-start the video, the sound doesn't begin right away -- the sound continues to lag.

The documentation says to use F11. F11 was removed from ChromeOS. The Full Screen Button on the keyboard will take Firefox out of full screen, but when you try to use it to put Firefox in Full Screen, the window gets slightly larger, and then goes back to its original size.
Other applications seem to be able to go to full screen using the Full Screen key that are running under Linux. For instance, gvim, thunar, meld, and gnucash all will go into full screen with the Full Screen Key.

Hello! I am using the userChrome.css file to hide the nav bar (# nav-bar) and show it when hovering the tabs.
The following code works a bit, but when I open the developer tools they overlap.
# nav-bar { z-index: -1; } # navigator-toolbox: hover # nav-bar { z-index: 1; background-color: rgba (0,0,0,0.8)! important; } #browser { margin-top: -45px; }
Any advice to achieve the expected functionality? Thank you

I installed Firefox on my Chromebook using flatpak. Something went wrong and now Firefox always freezes after it starts up. I tried to remove Firefox using the linux command line and got this message: “Package ‘firefox’ is not installed so not removed”. I can't find where this package is located and yet it always starts up as the default browser on the linux side. Any ideas on how I can find and remove this broken Firefox?

Hello community,
I have tried many fixes I found online to solve this issue but I have had no luck, this issue even persist into troubleshooting mode. Some sites have white text over a white background and other sites like best buy just have broken html/css, this issue just started happening yesterday for no reason as I have not changed anything of firefox since install, the only additions my browser has is bitwarden and nordvpn add-ons. I have attached pictures as examples. Also if it's any help my system is running Manjaro Qonos 21.2.0
Thank you.

I have noticed that suddenly all the themes on all websites, like github and startpage, are set to dark theme. I didn't set them to dark mode at any point and don't want them all to be dark. Some websites say that they use system settings for default theme. I do not remember changing any settings in my OS(Ubuntu) or in the mozilla browser.

Hi! I'm using Firefox 95.0 on Linux Manjaro Gnome. For some reason, strange CSS styles began to appear on some sites, making them unreadable. It is not possible to understand where this styles comes from, but definitely not from the site, since in other browsers they are displayed correctly. Here is a link to screenshots from different sites screenshot 1 screenshot 2 What's most interesting - in the Settings What I have tried: - Fonts And Colors section: The checkbox in the "Use system colors" is unchecked The checkbox in "Allow pages to choose their own fonts" is checked - I also tried to clear the browser cache - Also disabled all plugins - Changed the theme to the default one. - Disabled / Enabled "Use hardware acceleration when available" - I think that styles from userContent.css & userChrome.css are applied to sites. And I removed this files from /home/user/.mozilla/firefox/87syjf8o.default-release/chrome How I can fix this?

Hi,
My configuration is Firefox 78.14.0esr (64-bit), running on Slax, a Linux live distro based on Debian 10.
The URL I'm having trouble with is https://oldtime.radio. I click on a channel on the main page and the audio appears to stream. The tab in Firefox shows the speaker icon in the corner, but I get no sound. I've tried launching Firefox from the command line in safe mode with a new (blank) profile with the same behavior. No error messages in Firefox or the console. YouTube plays okay, as do various news sites. When an audio file is "playing" on the old time radio site, a link appears to download the corresponding mp3 file. If I click that link, the mp3 file autoplays correctly. Just streaming doesn't seem to play. I tried the site in Chromium and it works correctly.
I'm not sure how to further troubleshoot. I suspect there might be something like a codec that Firefox isn't finding that is included with Chromium but I don't know how to identify or trace what the stream is from the site.
Thanks,
Pat

I am getting the following error, although I have the CA and server certificates imported in Firefox:
SSL peer had some unspecified issue with the certificate it received. Error code: SSL_ERROR_CERTIFICATE_UNKNOWN_ALERT
I have no option to Add an exception or "Accept the risk and continue". It's not a public server, it's my own app developed on Jetty and used to work until 1 year ago. Simple cert chain: one CA which signs the server cert. Both imported in Firefox.

I use FF 93.0 on Linux Mint. Sometimes I click on a link and it leads to a PDF file. It then downloads the file, makes hardly any sign that it completed and just sits there. On another computer of mine, FF downloads the file, opens the PDF viewer but does not activate the PDF viewer window.
How can I specify a default PDF viewer such that it always opens the PDF in the specified viewer and for other odd files, it asks me what program to use?

When I click to select one of many available choices, Firefox often automatically dims the screen. If I stop typing, the screen is slowly returned to its normal, bright state. I can keep working with the dimmed screen, but it is very aggravating and error-prone.
An example is at https://species.wikimedia.org/wiki/Zyras, which gives numerous choice selections. Try quickly selecting and then exitting several nearby choices.
I can speed up the return of brightness by using a shell window to run "xrandr --output HDMI-1 --brightness 1.00; xset s noblank; xset s off; xset -dpms" and then quickly selecting (in my LG Settings/Displays window) "Fractional Scaling" scale OFF (100%) and then ON (100% vs "125% 150% 175% 200%") several (up to 30) times.

Lately, Firefox unchecks the 'use autoscrolling' and 'play DRM-controlled content' options sometimes (but not every time) when it starts. Other settings don't seem to be affected. It does seem to unset both at once, never one or the other at a time.
I have begun using Firefox routinely on two computers, both signed into the same sync profile. My best guess is that maybe one profile is overwriting the other? Both of these options are set on the second system, but maybe there's something going wrong with the sync?
Thanks, Patrick
