I tried downloading Firefox again and I still can't open it. There must be something in my computer (Windows 11) that is stopping it from opening. It is the browser that I prefer. I have used it for many years and everything is on it. Please help.

ages ago FF posted an update on my desk top. I've installed it dozens of times and dismissed it many times that much but it is still stuck on my desktop. How do O cleaned this up?

Firefox freezing when trying to get text for authentication on sites. Just started after this mornings update on Firefox!!! Anybody else? Have to turn off/on laptop to get it to work again

Update kills WebGL function... last time had to strip everything FireFox out of the registry, erase anything FireFox from anywhere, and do a clean download and installation... Auto Update came yesterday... problem again!!! WHY This is the second time this has occured.

Why is there so many restart to update firefox I have gotten them so many times in a week and sometimes twice a day. But checking the update history it doesnt show up as so many updates.

Why is this happening?

This morning, I was presented with an opportunity to update Firefox. As always, I chose "Yes". Ever since, no matter what I do, I am completely unable to connect to a webpage. I only get an error message stating that the webpage I'm trying to connect to has crashed. I am offered the choice of reloading only that particular webpage or all crashed tabs. NEITHER option works. It's just a loop that comes back to the same error message. I've used Firefox exclusively for well over a decade. I maintain subscriptions to Relay Premium and Pocket Premium. I have NEVER run into a problem with a Firefox update. They generally only take 30 seconds or so and very rarely involve a download. I spend a majority of my workday online. PLEASE help me get back to the version of Firefox that I had prior to this newest update, along with my hundreds of bookmarks, my Extensions, my Relay Premium and Pocket Premium subscriptions. Every day I get a pop up regarding a new update. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH .

HOW DO I STOP THIS PERMANENTLY AS I PREFER NOT TO GO BACK TO CHROME. IT SEEMS THAT YOU GET OFF BY SENDING OUT THESE UPDATE NOTICES, EVEN THOUGH I DO UP DATE JUST TO GET YOU OFF MY BACK!!

I've recently changed my OS from Suse to Kubuntu. When I used Firefox in Suse there was an option, 'Save Link', which created a .desktop file that I could then click on to load the page. This file could be saved in any folder, which meant it could be filed away in an appropriate place.

When I click on a .desktop file in Kubuntu it will load the page, but there doesn't seem to be a way of creating one with the version of Firefox that has been installed.

Is there a way of one-click creating a .desktop file in Kubuntu that I haven't noticed? (Yes, I can easily create one using Kate, but that could be long-winded for the number of pages I want to save.)

Only way I can gain access is through my stand alone computer. I no longer have a hand-held computer. So can we work through our problem via my computer. Otherwise, I don't know what to do. My original install crashed, and kept saying to close, and would not stop.... I tried uninstalling all of Firefox and when I install the new clean version, the messages continue and will not install the application. How do I completely remove Firefox and install a fresh copy?

I just updated my firefox browser. And had numerous tabs that were still open. Usually when I have update it I go to history and click on recently closed windows/tabs and everything comes back on.

But this time, there's nothing there! I'm missing all of the windows/tabs that were opened before. I look in my history tab and there's nothing there either from the time the firefox was updated.

Before Firefox had something called restore previous session. And that's not there either.

Can you please help me get my old tabs/windows opened again? Please

The last few days my computer has a long time connecting to the internet I saw a notification from Mozilla that they updated some type of program that might effect the connections that it might take longer to connect well it does and by the time it connects it say to long to connect so no connections at all before they did this upgrade or what ever my computer always connected johnny on the spot now it doesn't so the upgrade just don't work I think I saw something like a AI thing any ideas or what I am about ready to go to another browser program it's just not working for me I have windows 11.

Ever since the last two updates my saved cookies keep disappearing. It's a pain since I have to log in everywhere when it was automatic before.

Hello, I've looked over many threads to try and find a solution to the problem. When I booted up the computer this morning I tried opening up Firefox, my daily driver, only to find that it won't open. I tried rebooting, I tried uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling, rebooting again, nothing works. I even went so far as to downloading a windows 10 reinstall program that runs of a USB. It's one that preserves your programs, but updates everything possible in windows. Now the computer is back up and Firefox comes up with the same error message.

What do I have to do to get Firefox working on my computer again????

Dear Sir or Ma'am

On a number of occasions I've experienced a debilitating computer crash, apparently when Firefox wants to update, requiring me to force a shutdown. What kind of psychopathy is it that makes things like this happen? Would it be possible to have a notice with a stated TIME for the update and a way to regulate it? I lost 4 hours of work this time, and it's happened before.
