My places.sqlite file has places.sqlite.corrupt just under it in my second profile's folder. I tried renaming the corrupt file as just places.sqlite (calling the first places.sqlite something else) and restarting as suggested but the history still won't show up, and when I check the folder, places.sqlite is once again places.sqlite.corrupt (with a places.sqlite file just above it.)
Is there a way to somehow get Quantum to read my old history?
Firefox updated to Quantum and lost all my bookmarks and passwords. I was able to restore the bookmarks but I can not find a way to restore the passowords.
After upgrade to Quantum all of my passwords are gone. How do I recover them?

Clicking 'Show all History' in Library only offer 'Today' and 'Older than 6 months'. What about less than 6 months?

I'm using Firefox 39. Clicking 'Show All History' in the drop down menu only shows 'Older than 6 months' and 'Today'. Clearly this isn't 'All History'! Why doesn't it show anything between 'Today' and 'Older than 6 months'? Is this a bug?
Today I downloaded the add-on 'Places Maintenance' 1.3.1, and ran it. It has made no difference.
I hope you can help.

Firefox can't open its own .json HISTORY files (from Firefox pulldown menu) which I saved for specifically for that purpose. How ridiculous to maintain a so called method of 'saving' files of which the creator's suite (Mozilla/Firefox) can not open within their own site. Saving in HTML like one of the bookmarks options for saving, could at least be recovered. BUT .json----NO WAY, NO HOW, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO...
A quite deceptive, unreliable, and consequently, fully security disruptive & unobtainable falsehood of "helping aids". Everyone online complains of the same problem fiasco!!!!!!!!!!!!!
INCIDENTALLY, I WOULD HAVE UPLOADED A FILE FOR YOU BUT OF THE SUPPORTED TYPES, JSON WAS NOT ONE OF THEM. TOOOOOOO BAD, WHAT A CROCK

I updated Firefox last night right before bed, to version 65.0.1. I did not go to any websites after that. This morning, none of my browser history from before today, 2/14, exists any longer. I first noticed this when typing in a website I check daily, but I didn't have any autocomplete suggestions (normally I just type the first 2 letters and get a suggestion of the full site and I am able to just hit enter to go there). Just now, I checked my history folder to find a site I have not visited in the last few months, but with no history before yesterday, I am not sure how to proceed. I believe my bookmarks are intact (I do not typically use bookmarks, but there are a handful present, and I did not create them today, so I believe they are from before last night's update).
I do use an add-on to record my open tabs, and it someone does go back longer than this, so maybe I can find some of the sites I used to have. However, I could really use the history feature, I have some stuff last summer I would like consult ASAP. I can verify that I have not manually erased my history, at least not going back before something I viewed within a given hour (I don't go back and erase things from say, yesterday, last week, last month, last year, etc). Any thoughts?
