Last night firefox was working fine. This morning when I started it, it did an update and ever since it will not start and continues to crash. I have provided a few reports and submitting the list. I have tried refreshing it, deleting it, uninstalling it and reinstalling it, even reinstalled it just using the defaults and still no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

When I type something on the address bar all the suggestions get jammed up with title text overlaying the URL. This was not happening until 2 or 3 updates ago.

I have tried disabling all addons, the text moves a bit but still impossible to read. I have tried disabling Win10 Typing suggestions/autocomplete, nothing changed.

I have rather abruptly lost all audio in Firefox 77 on Windows 10. YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Facebook videos - all silent.

Meanwhile, I'm getting sound as usual when viewing those things in Chrome (and I would really prefer not to have to go back to Chrome), and all sound from other sources is working correctly - games, iTunes, Spotify, etc.

Does Firefox hook into my system's audio functions in some unique way, different from everything else? I've recently started experimenting with doing my own music and video recording/editing, and I've tried out a number of different audio/video apps in an attempt to find the tools that suit me, and I'm starting to wonder if one of the apps I tried modified or overwrote whatever system hook that Firefox was using.

Strangely enough, the audio spontaneously started working again yesterday, a few hours after it stopped, and was still working today until I rebooted my machine. Then it was gone again.

Updated to Win 10 Pro 2004 this morning and now web pages either won't load or take considerably longer (minutes longer) than opening the same page in Chrome. I've tried the following:

  • Restarted Firefox in safe mode
  • Restoring Firefox via Apps panel
  • Restarted my PC multiple times
  • Uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox

This also occurs in MS nightly.

Any help would be great!

I've been having this issue ever since the latest release of firefox.

Essentially it will be fine for a while and then all of a sudden firefox is unable to retrieve any headers from the fetch response. If I refresh firefox this fixes the issue, but only for a small amount of time. The same bug doesn't happen on chrome and I haven't had it happen to me yet on firefox developer edition. It happens if I use this browser on private browsing with no plugins as well.

Note that we do use a fetch wrapper but it essentially returns the entire response object in the screenshots below.

Also note that it doesn't seem to happen anywhere but localhost. Is there anything I can do here?

I am writing to the English-language forum because the forum does not exist in my language. Some time ago, the browser started to slow down and took a long time to open. Last night I closed it through the task manager and after restarting the browser gave an error: XML parsing error: root element not found Address: chrome: //browser/content/browser.xhtml Line 1, character 1

(Ошибка синтаксического анализа XML: корневой элемент не найден Адрес: chrome://browser/content/browser.xhtml Строка 1, символ 1) In my language

How to solve a problem? I don't want to lose bookmarks and other data, so creating a new profile is not a solution for me.

Firefox version - 82.0.03 64bits

I applied the -no-deelevate fix when I last upgraded and that worked ok Yesterday I ran Windows update - always a bad idea I know - and fixed the problems that caused, but now Firefox will no longer allow picture drag and drop. This IS a firefox issue because Chrome still works ok without any elevation command.

I have also done this: browser.launcherProcess - turn off, then turn back on

Any ideas please ?
