locking this thread as duplicate, please continue at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1284801

Both Firefox and Chrome aren’t staying open for more than a few minutes. No matter what site I have open or however many tabs they crash. My other apps are working, my internet is stable as well as my hardware. I’ve already restarted the computer, uninstall and reinstalled Firefox, cleaned my temp folders, cleaned up my disk and cleared my browser history. Please continue here: [/questions/955623]

I go to www.Jardencs.com/careers. When I click on the "Career Opportunities" link I get this error message:

Request Error Forbidden directory Listing denied Close the browser and try to log on again. Error Code: 403.14.

The link has worked on my desktop computer before today, and I can open the link accessing the site through my cell phone. I just can't get it on my desktop now. Last night I installed Torch on this desktop, but I've uninstalled it since I started having this problem. The problem persists even after the uninstall.

How do I fix it?

Duplicate see /questions/960928

Im going insane with the spinning beachball on mac when using Firefox v21.

It happens several times per minute with something as simple as choosing the next field on a page or even scrolling down the page using the scroller on the right hand of the page.

Im on a laptop which has os 10.6.8 installed and the laptop has 8gig of ram and a 2.8ghz intel core 2 duo processor.

On previous versions of Firefox I used to get "unresponsive script" warnings with the option to stop it. These warnings would pop up and never give the option to "always stop an unresponsive script AND never take total control of my computer trying to get the script to respond" There is no option to block the script on the site its coming from.

I did have a block script plug in but no sites work properly if java script isnt enabled.

With Firefox21 I dont get these pop up warnings any more.

I have a lot of tabs open and when the spinning beach ball happens too often I quit firefox and open it again. It remembers my tabs but doesnt load till I click on the tab.

Despite this Firefox will start stalling and showing the beachball spinning only after a few new pages are opened.

It is enfuriating and I dont consider the software to be working properly.

Im wondering has something gottten corrupted in the System Library when firefox installs or if there is a compatability problem with versions of Firefox, my OS10.6.8, Java, Flash?

I can only look at one tab at a time - I WOULD LOVE IF THERE WAS AN OPTION TO

"NOT GIVE ANY RESOURCES TO OTHER TABS WHICH ARENT BEING VIEWED"

I used to use a plug in called Pause All Tabs which was brilliant and gave me back control of my computer. I cant get it for FF21

So what can I do? Use Chrome instead?

Duplicated post please continue with /questions/963270

for my company im building a VDI image with Windows XP(yes very old :-). we have Internet Explorer 9 and Monzilla Firefox installed.

When i Use IE everything is working can visit all websites. When i Use Firefox i can go to the www.google.com and to www.monzilla.com But when i go to www.nu.nl or www.telegraaf.nl or www.tweakers.net (dutch websites) then i see a flash of the site then it closes Firefox. I have installed firefox again but with the same results. i have tried versie 19,20,21 and 22 but all with the same results.

I find some answers on your site but they dont solve the problem. we have a old enviroment with Firefox version 10.0 and there it worked oke , can visit the sites. i have compaired the setting between the image with firefox 10 and firefox 22 and they are the same.

kind regards Patrick

I had asked a question of the forum about the calendar in the "new and improved" AT&T/Yahoo browser/Email system. I received two replies with suggestions for a possible fix. I notified the sender that the first one did not work and do not remember if I told the sender that the second one, also, did not work and that I was going to forgo any further discussion or attempts at remediation. I cannot find the information within the forum that I sent and what was replied.

locking as a duplicate, please continue here - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/968545

Between last night and tonight, suddenly I can't load any pages unless I flip back and forth between I.E Tabs. Only difference: Firefox did a bloody update. Why is it that nowadays when a program updates, it always ends up being glitchy or fails entirely. Aren't updates supposed to IMPROVE the program, not break what was already working?

This problem happens on Facebook, twitter, Goodreads, Google, this page... everything. What is the use of having a browser that doesn't work. Come on Mozilla. Please let me roll back to 22. At least that worked. Sorry for the grump here, but I've truly had enough of programs self-"updating" into a version that is crap. With all that programmers have learnt over years of computing, this should not happen any more. If you're going to put out an "update", at least make sure it works fully first. We're not your lab rats for testing.

I've already restarted twice, and once more in safe mode, so please no one give me all the basic advice. Just someone tell the blokes at Mozilla that their update is broken, and they need to patch it. Meanwhile, I'll just run my business loading pages twice in two different browser tabs... or, after more than six years and twenty different version numbers, I might just drop Firefox altogether.

And you know what, I can't even add my Troubleshooting info from the button below. Guess why? That's broken too. As is the button to enter this form.
