V. 110.0.1 will consume the C drive to 100% and it will stay there even when FF is not executing. The 13 processes use 750 MB of memory and once the drive is tied up, nothing else can be loaded or run. Sometimes if FF is closed, usage will eventually fall to the point where other processes can run or mouse clicks will be recognized. Sometimes if CCleaner is run after FF is closed, FF will crash even though Task Manager shows no FF processes in the list. This all seemed to start with the installation of v. 110.0.1. I have reinstalled v. 110.0.1 with no effect on the hang issue. The system has been running without FF and no drive hang or 100% usage has been experienced. Will not run FF until a new version is released. Chrome running the same websites does not hang the drive and uses WAAAAAYYYY less RAM. Sad, been using FF for decades. Problem does not exist on my old iPad either. Browser crash data has been sent at least twice.

Today my Firefox browser started to open some websites but no others and it seems to be doing it randomly. I refreshed it and nothing changed. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it again and it looks like it worked for a little while but then went back to doing the same things. Also, some websites open fast while others very slow and they switch randomly (regarding how fast they open and some times after switching, they do not open at all). I created a new user in my Mac to test it there and Firefox works well there. Please help!

I have had several issues recently with Firefox.

E.g. I was on Grasshopper phone site. I clicked on "See Plans and Pricing" link and got an error message. Without changing a thing I opened Microsoft Edge, went through the same steps and was able to see the information (see attached screenshots).

There have been several incidents where I was unable to see/access information from Firefox, but was able to do so on Microsoft Edge.

Help me. Firefox will not load. It just shows a blank window under "New Tab".

Here's a pic of it if it works. All I get is this blank window. The Sync icon just goes around and around, can't access Add-on and Themes, Troubleshoot Mode looks exactly the same, I have refreshed, uninstalled and then reinstalled, and reinstalled a Microsoft C++2015. Now I'm stuck using Edge like some kind of savage. I've added a screenshot if it helps. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Whenever there's an update for Firefox (which is OFTEN), there's no notification or indication, the browser just... stops working. I use a Macbook running Big Sur.

I spent two hours this morning assuming that Google Docs was messing up or that my connection was bad, until I checked Firefox. Turns out that, once again, the browser update caused the browser to just stop functioning. This is far from the first time this has happened, and I'm really fed up.

I also hate this new thing where companies don't allow you to submit a support request, instead they want you to read through the help articles and post on the forums and do ANYTHING except contact them directly. I work in a customer support environment, so I know how dumb customers are, but making it impossible to contact you is not the solution.

After the most recent FF update, I cannot upload photos from File Explorer to Ancestry.com gallery. I open a photo file to begin the upload process to Ancestry but my monitor goes grey, I cannot use the cursor or click on anything. A big blue circle goes around slowly so my only way out is Esc and it says Firefox is not responding and asks if I want to close the program which I do. I have retried uploading several times and each time it fails. I did a disk cleanup, a system clean up, cleared history, cache and cookies, troubleshooters; all of things+ that are recommended to fix the problem. Command prompt isn't something I use but if I have to, I will. I need get a fix for the not responding issue, otherwise I have to put my family tree on hold indefinitely. Thanks.

When I run an internet speed test (speedtest.com or any other), I get slower speeds with Firefox compared to Chrome and Edge. My internet speed for download should be 500 mbps. This is what I get with Chrome and Edge, but with Firefox I get 300 to 400 mbps. I tried running Firefox in troubleshooting mode and got the same result. Also tried changing the network settings (proxy or no proxy; Enable DNS on and off, etc), but no luck. Please help.

I have 40MPS dsl. My download speed significantly reduced (17-20MPS) with the latest 110.0.1 version. I traced the problem over the last week to Firefox. I thought I resolved it by deleting one of my 3 add-ons. Speed significantly increase after that. The next morning, it was slow again. I hibernate my computer over night. I closed Firefox and it speeded back up. I re-opened Firefox and the speed remains high so far, but 3-4 MPS slower than with Firefox closed. I do notice that Firefox is a very large memory hog. I also have a newer (6 months) laptop running Win11.

I am a long time Firefox user, having moved to Firefox from Netscape in the late 2000s. I have been very happy, but this latest issue has really been frustrating.

I am on a Windows 10 PC, and using the lates Firefox. It loads fine and works fine for 10 minutes or so and then just stops working. I can access menus, but if I click on a link - whether from the current page or a bookmark - nothing happens. It will not connect any longer and I need to shut down and restart. I can open a new tab, but nothing will load in the new tab.

I have tried everything. If I load in safe mode to remove all extensions - same issue. I did a refresh - same issue. I uninstalled and reinstalled - same issue. I removed my antivirus program (Malwarebytes) - same issue. I uninstalled my VPN program (Windscribe) - same issue. I have been searching for solutions and tried a number oft things like disabling hardware acceleration - same issue. (I have reinstalled those programs as removing them did not fix the issue and it did work with them previously.)

Any thoughts on what else it could possible be?

Intro

Website that uses Three.js and Adaptive streaming solutions such as HLS.js package

How it works? Basic implementation of the HLS.js that streams different 4K video at different levels/chunks (HD, FULL HD, 2K, QUADHD, 4K). Downloaded chunks from the stream are loaded to the WebGL/Three.js Video texture.

What is the problem? Whenever Video quality changes to higher resolution such as 3072x1536, WebGL is not rendering immediately the texture and displays black frame/screen.

This only happens on the Firefox, tested on Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox.

More information:

This warning appears on Firefox 105: WebGL warning: texImage: Fast Tex(Sub)Image upload failed without recourse, clearing to [0.2, 0.0, 0.2, 1.0]. Please file a bug!

When tested on latest Firefox 109.0.1 above warning message does not appear in the console, but there is still black blink bug and another logs:

[Video] Hls.Events.Error mediaError bufferStalledError false

[Video] BUFFER_STALLED_ERROR > Playback is stuck because buffer is running out of data.

Note:

Black screen blinks whenever video switches the quality to the higher than 2160x1080px and when below logs are fired to the console, example:

[Video] Hls.Events.LEVEL_SWITCHED > Quality switched to level 3: 3072x1536 @ 8.61Mbps

Research:

Couldn’t find any bug that was reported with the same warning message as this one.

Topics that I’ve found that could be or not related with this bug.

1709726 - Failed to upload video element to WebGL texture with texImage2D()

1322694 - WebGL video textures fail to render in Firefox Nightly for MP4 format with 2048x1024 pixels dimensions

To do:

Investigate with Firefox support why WebGL is not rendering frame when video switches to the higher quality.

Hi, guys

I've been using Firefox for many years and I love it.

After Firefox 110 update came out, I can't fully use it. When computer resumes from hibernation, it happens to freeze sometimes when I have many tabs open. And it doesn't unfreeze, I have to close it by ending its task. It gives no crash report too.

I've tried removing extensions, reinstalling the Firefox. Nothing helped.

I'm using Ryzen 4500U APU, with Windows 11 and all its security features enabled.

When watching youtube or even doing a little task with only one tab the cpu usage from a specific firefox process goes upto 90%. And I have did everything that was given in the following troubleshoot method "https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-uses-too-much-memory-or-cpu-resources" but still the same result. I tried with troubleshoot mode on with disabling all extensions but the cpu usage was still high. I have also checked with firefox's own task manager tool but there wasn't a single process that was using full cpu. I'll be attaching all screenshots below.
