Hello All,
I have been using Firefox on my Windows 7 PC (64 bit) as the default browser instead of IE for several years. It has worked very well.
I have many utilities I have written using Microsoft Office 2003 tools. Many of these tools use the VBA FollowHyperLink method and this has worked perfectly with Firefox until the latest version -- 85.0. With version 85.0, when the code executes the FollowHyperLink with an address, Firefox starts but the "new tab" is empty and the address control has the "Search with ..." message. If Firefox is already running, the method creates a new tab (as it did with previous versions) and Firefox opens the specified address. I have reverted to IE as the default browser and it works as expected -- if IE is not running, it starts, and displays the specified address.
So it appears that Firefox 85.0 is not listening for an address while it is starting. Is there a way I can override this behavior?
Thanks, Chris
Version 85: Screen image stays after browser is closed I never had this issue until the 85 update.

My laptop location in Firefox is using my former home location. But when I do the same Weather Google Search or Google Map website in Chrome, the location is my current location in North Carolina. This true whether I'm logged into my Google account or not Signed in to my Google account.
In Firefox I've checked Tools/Options/Privacy & Security/Permissions/Location/Settings. It lists 3 sites that have asked for access to my Locations: google, home depot and BedBathBeyond. Yet when I use Google to search "weather", it gives me Wayne NJ. This section will not let me add Google Maps.
In Security I changed Block Pop-ups to continue to have a checkmark but added google.com and maps.google.com as exceptions and restarted Firefox. Google Maps still shows Wayne NJ and weather sometimes shows North Carolina but mostly shows Wayne NJ
Are there any other settings in Firefox I need to update? Or are there settings in Windows I need to update.? I'm using Windows 10 and Firefox 85.0

Firefox adds a blank page when printing a PDF from the PDF preview. Normal prints of webpages are fine. In other browsers it works fine so it is Firefox related. Resetting printer settings doens't work.
How do I stop this from happening.

Hello, as stated in the title, in the recent Firefox updates 3 of my computers started to print an extra page when printing a PDF document from the built-in PDF document viewer. For instance if I open a PDF containing a single page invoice from GMail and then print it using the print dialog in Firefox's PDF viewer, I will get the second blank page displayed in the print preview, even though the document clearly only contains one page. If I use the option to use the Windows print dialog menu instead, and I print with that, the document will be printed correctly and only one page will be dispensed. This is A4 format, nothing was changed and all computers started to have this symptom after some recent Firefox update. This happens in two separate buildings both on two computers with Windows 10 and one computer with Windows 7, also two completely separate printers, one being a network laser printer and other standard USB inkjet. This doesn't make much sense to me, is there any solution to this? I have switched from the built-in PDF viewer to Acrobat Reader directly, but it was much more convinient to just have a PDF displayed in a Firefox tab rather than opening a separate program to display and print. Of course Acrobat Reader prints just as correctly as the windows dialog. The problem seems to be purely to do with the Firefox PDF viewer.
Printer is not recognized in printer dialogue. Trying to print a coupon from a website and my default system printer is not listed.

My dad did somethink with Avast antivirus(at least he said so) and after that we have no search engine available. If you try to type something in a serch bar you can only open direct links. Default search engine button in the settings does not respond and even following instructions on the site I can't add new search engines. Tried Google, YouTube and DuckDuckGo but to no avail. There is just no option to add new search engine.
P.S. Don't know how to reach russian-speaking support, so screenshots are in russian with some explanations on top.

FreeBSD 12.2 Firefox 85.0 (64-bit) - no extensions (removed uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, HTTPS ONLY)
>> Enhanced Tracking Protection: OFF for shopify URIs >> Privacy & Security set to Standard >>>Manage Exceptions contains shopify URIs >> Block Pop-Ups contains shopify URI as exception >> HTTPS-ONLY Mode enabled
PROBLEM: see Subject At first I thought that Firefox's protection from these super-cookies they're so proud of actually hampered my browsing. However, after toggling through HTTPS-ONLY modes is appears that having this 'feature' disabled is what allows me to browse normally without a false negative of "This page is not available at this moment".
I wanted to put this out there in case anyone else has a Shopify store, uses v85 of Firefox and has similar difficulties.
Curious to hear whether the Firefox devs have any feedback ... thing is, with uBlock I have control over which domains, sub-domains and cross-domains I want to allow in terms of javascript et al while Privacy Badger used to control cookies. With Firefox's built-in protection it's more static ... still have a feeling that's where the problem is but will need to spend a little more time to draw any conclusions on my end. Maybe the built-in dev tools will shed some additional light?
Incidentally, the Chrome browser has no problem.

Refreshed firefox because youtube loaded in at 280%. Someone said it might be corrupt. I Refreshed and all my passwords are gone and everything else. There is no folder on my desktop with the old info in it. Where is it. There is one old folder from 2018 I never used because at the time I didn't understand what to do. But now I can't get into my firefox account and don't want to rest my password yet because it says everything will be wiped out. This is ridiculous and too complicated. Had I knowed I wouldn't have done it. I have been able to get some things back like favorite sites, but gosh, all my passwords, nuts.
When I forward an email, it now comes up as an attachment which I can't edit before sending, this is new, I don't like it!!!

Im having some serious problems with firefox. I have saved the %APPDATA% folder.
I cannot login to mozilla servers for firefox sync and whenever I close firefox it would only remember the tabs and windows I opened the previous day; not today's tabs. It runs for over 1 hour saying it's working on sync.
When I login after reinstalling firefox all my tabs are removed and cannot get sync data. How do I fix this without removing my windows and tabs (have over 100 open). I want to keep all history and tab data. Also tried cleaning cookies and cache data; no luck.
It looks like I have been having sync problems for a week, based upon my logfiles; but it was only today it stopped restoring new tabs and windows (old ones work).
