Using an Apple computer and Firefox 75.0 ... In in my toolbar (where the File, Edit, View options are), and I go to History > Recently Closed Tabs ... I see many recently opened tabs listed. How do I stop "Recently Closed Tabs" from accumulating? I want that list to always be clear.

Thank you.

Hi guys,

I don't know if this is happening to you too, but it's getting me crazy. Since the latest upgrade (firefox 75), I open the program and start working normally. After one hour or so, I can not open any new tab, I have to close everything and reopen firefox again to start opening the same pages I got before to continue working with one more tab. For the first hour, everything is working as normal.

This also happens if I try to open a new window instead of a new tab.

I have tried to reset the profile but this does not do anything. Also, I have tested to start in safe mode without any add-on, but the problem is still there.

Anyone with the same problem?

Thanks!

Would like a way to save the pinned and other tabs I have open in someplace, so when they get deleted I don't have to rummage thru last months History and dig out each one over again. A simple "Save this layout with date and name" somewhere would be great.

I am able to log in to any Firefox service with no problems except Firefox Send. It used to work but now only gives an error message. Firefox came preinstalled as snap package on ubuntu 18.04, but has been giving trouble since

I'm running through problems when downloading files:

The open with dialog application does not see most applications, in particular it doesn't see evince nor libreoffice. The dropdown defaults to "Url Handler Script (default)", which does nothing with my files.
If I choose to open the file with firefox (say a pdf file) a blank page appears

All these options work with chrome though..

The only way I can view a downloadable file is by saving it somewhere in my home directory and then open it which is a pain!

Obviously snap firefox doesn't access anything beyond thatI've successfully installed Firefox as a snap package (done by default by installing it through Ubuntu's "software center"). It does work, and give me a more recent version of Firefox than the one available through APT.

I'm running through problems when downloading files, though:

Saving them in /tmp/ does not work, since the snap version of Firefox uses a different filesystem than the one of the host computer, hence Firefox and non-snap applications see different content in /tmp/.

If I save a downloaded file, the open containing folder button in the downloads list does not work. I'm guessing that it tries to open nautilus, but fails to do so because nautilus is a non-snap application.I've successfully installed Firefox as a snap package (done by default by installing it through Ubuntu's "software center"). I'm having an issue when I select the Bookmarks or History menus from the toolbar. The final button on the bottom is cut off, which I think takes you to the pop-out window to view your library. This has been asked elsewhere, but my situation is different as I run every Firefox session in a Sandbox which deletes after exit. I don't generally use Firefox signed in, but when I do sign in I get two emails every time, and it is driving me nuts.

I can find a preference or security setting to turn these off. The risk should be mine to take if I so wish it; hate nannying.

Anyone got a solution? Or even a suggestion.
