I now work for a company that says that FF won't work with their systems and chrome is the preferred browser. chrome is a problem for me, as I have limited memory and old machines. And chrome just loves to chew through my memory. I don't suppose anyone has attempted to run chrome under firefox, have they? Any other way to reduce chrome's memory hungry ways?

Website logon credentials are being reset after the use of the reload function - requiring the user to log back in to the comments section after each reload of the web page. In particular, credentials for DISCUS, which is very popular "comment" software used by many websites, is unable to maintain the users credentials after a reload...requiring the user to log back in each time. More info on this software is at https://disqus.com. NOTE: Addons have not changed since I was on 68.0.1 where this problem was not observed.

Firefox is my default browser and Google the default search engine. This has worked fine for years. Suddenly, a search typed into Google results in a Bing result. I made sure that Bing is not checked as even an alternate search engine but that does not help.

I suppose this is some kind of visibility shortcut that I accidentally key in while typing fast while pressing the shift key - I have searched and searched and cannot find any reference to this feature - it is only in firefox, so I'm assuming it's not Windows. How do I disable this feature in firefox?

the site " ustvnow.com was working fine but now no longer works in Firefox, but only on Chrome ( which I hate ) I use an ad blocker but that site has always been whitelisted and has worked in the past. When I go to that site and try to open a new account to see if that solves the problem, the name and email and password boxes don't work properly and do nothing after I enter details and press enter. I have deleted all cookies and cache and restarted etc. etc. but nothing seems to help. What could I have inadvertently done to my settings to cause this problem ? I have a Levono x223 with a short monitor running Window 7. In some websites, such a ebay, only the center portion of a pop up window fraem will show, such as clicking on the tracking number, resulting in my not being able to close the window. So far the only work around is to right click on the window and chose > This frame>Show only this frame> then click on the Go back one page arrow. I would like to find a way to either close the window with a key stroke, or some other simple way to close the window.

I am only user of my lap top computer. I signed into my account and got and filled out all auth codes and set preferences. But when I finish my work at end of the day I always quit all apps and turn off my computer. So when I reopen the next day I have to sign in again to firefox which then generates another email saying "new sign in" and I have to start the whole process again. I have spent many hours reading all the documentation Firefox has provided but not solved problem. From all I've read once all auth is done it should be setup. At this time I can't put firefox on my mobile as I don't have any room left for new apps. I just want it on my laptop. I like the browser but to have to go thru all the sign ins each time is pushing me to use Safari. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I have my account locked because i don't receive the verification email and it has been refused. I need to change the email of the account (i can access but i can't confirm the account).

I have a normally used Windows 10 PC that I consider my standard configuration for Firefox. I WILL CALL IT PC A. I have another, rarely used PC which I WILL CALL B. The Firefox configuration on PC B is often not as up to date as PC A and may have old and outdated Add-ons, bookmarks, and tool bar configurations. When I bring up PC B and start Firefox, it will quickly start the syncing process (since I can no longer log off of Firefox - a very bad idea, by the way). Whether the sync starts immediately or not, how do I specify that PC B will always sync to PC A's profile and not try to update PC A with its old and invalid configuration?

The latest Firefox update hide my bookmark toolbar and the menu bar. When I re-enable them, the setting is apparently not getting saved because they're hidden again the next time I launch the browser.

If I go to the museum's home page and click on a link in any of the header tabs it won't do anything. The website works fine in Edge...

I'm on Firefox 69.0 on Win 10.

As above. Download was normal & created a new account. Fire Fox does not appear in my list of applications and is only a disc image on my desk top. I set up account, preferences etc, including Microsoft OneNote Web Clipper as an extension. Now all of that has vanished. Appears I have done something wrong when I down loaded.

Navigating to an HTTPS site (ex. https://consul.service.consul) works fine with my imported sub-ca cert as it includes consul.service.consul as a SAN. If I change the port the site is served from to something non-standard however, the site comes back as not trusted (ex. https://consul.service.consul:8501). Is this expected behavior to have to include port numbers in a SAN listing for certificates, or is this a bug potentially?
