"The email address used for your account is not allowed for add-on submission." For some reason, my email address is not suitable for theme submission.Unfortunately, I don't have access to e-mail with this address, because this address was provided by the temp-mail.org service. However, I still have my Firefox account login and password. Do I really need to delete my old account and create a new one? Why all these inconveniences? All themes are already moderated in full detail. This is just a set of color codes. What kind of security risk can these colors cause?

Firefox takes an exceedingly long time to perform DNS resolution. For example when I visit yahoo.com resolving s.yimg.com takes 133 ms.

Resolution takes almost a magnitude longer than it should take. For reference when I use dig:

$ dig s.yimg.com | grep "Query time" ;; Query time: 19 msec

I run dnsmasq on localhost, so whatever isn't already cached only takes about 20 ms on average to resolve.

Why is Firefox taking so long to do DNS resolution and what can I do to fix it?

I've already tried toggling DNS prefetch and disabling IPv6 DNS. No effect.

I'm running the latest Firefox ESR on Linux antix1 4.9.200-antix.1-amd64-smp

I am on Mac. The newest update (74.0.1) caused my Firefox to do a bunch of errors i'll list here:

   - the line with the three dots (close, hide, enlarge) is not existant
   - the adress bar does not show that input can be received (blinking line) when clicking it
   - things that wont work until i click outside the window of firefox (e.g. onto the finder)
       - the adress bar wont receive typed input
       - the adress bar does not load websites
       - tabs wont open when clicking on their symbol in the list on top
       - bookmarks sidebar wont open
       - bookmarks sidebar wont show scrolling
       - bookmark wont open when clicked
       - bookmark wont show menu for "opening in new tab" etc. and when it does it does not react at all
       - a new tab wont be created
       - in the settings (when opened by the symbol line up on the screen) nothing can be activated or deactivated and no other settings menu can be opened
       - the options drop down menu wont open (from the three lines on the right)
   - the options drop down menu wont close after being opened and is in the foreground of every other program (even when firefox would be obscured by them)
   - addon drop down menus wont open at all
   - if i open a new tab from a window (e.g. from a search engine), it wont be created in the tablist at all

but if a website is opened correctly, everything inside it works fine. also the window is freely movable on the screen (without any lags) and closing firefox works as fast as normal

thanks in advance for any help

(tech details omitted here as believed to be a fairly common issue [perhaps: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120679] although happy to provide some if asked)

Sorry to raise this issue from about 6 or 7 years ago but it is quite a niggle - if not a potential privacy/security risk.. For info, I think this was fixed briefly about that time but returned in a slightly newer version. If you plan to fix this I should be most happy to await Debian developers to consider a newer version of Firefox ESR a "stable" package and release it to the likes of me.

Many thanks and best wishes

In the html console, I put an element.value = My new input .value into array index #8 (I pressed enter and only got an undefined instead of specific text answer I wanted, then I did a small change and all I got was "". The rest of the index element readonly textfields are empty regarding text. I want to fill the entire array with the computed answers with just the one input to the array element using the html console.

how to make an html browser console calculate one user input to fill entire the array using single different inputs and different full array answers every time.

I have ActiveClient installed need to use two smart cards, often both at once. When I try to log into a PKI-enabled site, Firefox will offer me the list of certificates from the correct card. I select the correct certificate for the site. Firefox then asks for my PIN. However, when I enter the correct PIN (I've verified this multiple times) I get the ActiveClient alert saying that the PIN is incorrect and I have X number of tries left before the card is blocked.

I've discovered that the problem is caused by the fact that even though Firefox offers me the correct card when it asks me to choose a certificate, when it asks for my PIN it tries to use the other card. I've verified this also by entering the PIN for the other card it it's accepted. I can also see that the read-light is on for the smart card reader with my second card and not the reader with the correct one. If I first p

My one work around is to pull the second card to remove it as an option for Firefox, in which case it uses the correct one, but that is not ideal. Anyone know what's going on with this and how to fix it?

Screen saver configured by GPO switches on after 600 seconds as no activity is recognized. Using the latest Chrome browser on the same machine won't make that happen. see https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/screen-saver-interrupts-webmeeting.72964/

Problem described here about 2 years ago: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1434601 Not only Google Hangout is affected, 3CX WebMeeting tool as well.

I apologize if this has already been brought up.

It seems that the browser has access to a list of my media devices, without needing any special permissions. On Am I Unique, they can grab the unique ID of my builtin macbook camera & microphone. I believe the culprit is MediaDevices.enumerateDevices(). I do have privacy.resistFingerprinting set to True.

Perhaps you could put it behind a permission request, like MediaDevices.getUserMedia()?

Thank you for your time.

I am using Opensuse 15.0 and also 15.1. Haven't made a complete move over yet. There is a recurring situation when 4GB rx and 4GB tx movement that I cannot account for hits my 15.0 about once a month. Today it happened again. Using vnstat, I found it happened between 10.00 - 11.00. :

Searched the cookies, one site i cannot recognize came out; "consensu.org". Did a search, there were several, example: https://cmp.teads.mgr.consensu.org/index.html, that served blank pages in firefox. Is there anything odd here? Is there a way I can extract all the cookies with date & time so that I can check against previous occurrences of the 4GB data movements (I have a few records).

Unlike some people who don't want to see the extension name in the address bar, I want to see the *entire* extension name. Threat model: one of my extensions gets a rogue update and puts up a screen that looks just like a screen (e.g., the login page) of another extension (e.g., my password manager).

When the extension name is too long, Firefox currently displays: Extension... <last word of extension name>

To be secure I currently need to click on the above so that it expands, in order to verify it's the correct extension.

Can this be done in CSS, or would a feature change be needed to Firefox?
