I am having problems connecting to websites that originate from an email click. Which settings should I change to correct this? (ie, I have no proxies or firewalls set up). And, these connections work fine in other browsers, so I am sure it's just a security setting somewhere in Firefox.
Thanks for any help.

Sometime in the past 3 months, when I use Replay Poker's site almost every time, or occasionally when I use Angry Birds Friends on Facebook in Mozilla (both use flash), and leave a poker table or the ABF game, it freezes my Mozilla browser. When using Replay's site this happens 8-10 times out of 10. With ABF, it happens 1 out of every 5-6 times I use it. I am unable to click on or in the browser window, and cannot close the browser with the x at the upper right of the window. The only thing that works at that point is to hold my mouse over my Mozilla icon in the taskbar, and when the small window icons pop up, I can close them using the x on the small icon. What seems to reset the browser is if I have two or more tabs open, and click the upper-right x while mouse hovering over the taskbar icon, getting the "close multiple tabs?" warning. If I click no, then the browser usually seems to reset and start operating normally again. Though, sometimes that still does not allow me to open a new flash window, so I have to completely close Mozilla and restart it again. I have noted a couple other mentions of this problem, but have yet to find a solution that works.
My graphic card drivers are updated. I am using the most updated version of Flash as well.

The only download I did to possibly have been hijacked by bonefreeze was to update itunes. Of course, win 10 is always updating. I hate these sorts of malware.

My Amazon and PayPal accounts were recently hacked, apparently using Firefox Password Manager. I've since changed the passwords for the accounts in question and also enabled a password for Firefox. Attached is a redacted version of the hacking session. I have a few questions.
1) If someone's accessed my decrypted Firefox password file, should I assume every saved password has been compromised?
2)How do I get a list of all these sites if I do need to change the passwords on all or many of them?
3) Is there any way to tell if this attack was launched from inside my apartment or remotely? I think I know the DNS ip of my home system at the time.
Your help is much appreciated.

Problem: clicked a link in an email, loaded a webpage which can't be closed - as it just re-opens, and I'm prevented from accessing preferences (by the page reloading in rapid succession) to untick the 'restore previous session' box, hence after restarting FF the malicious page keeps popping up.
Eventually in the profile folder found & renamed the three 'sessionstore-backups' files then disabled sync on the other computers to prevent the bookmark spreading.
NEEDED : a way to delete the sessionstore-backups in Sync on the default FF server.
Preferably in a format which a humble computer user can follow : that's someone who doesn't have much knowledge beyond what is picked up in daily use.

Hi there.
After years of not using Firefox, I decided to give it another try and installed it on my 13 inch Mid 2010 MacBook Pro. It's the latest Firefox release (63.0.3) and I notived that it is still a lot slower compared to other browsers. Pages loading slower, videos are choppy, and it also seems to use more power and memory.
So I decided to do some tests not to rely only on my observations, and it seems that I'm right. I'm using the latest Mac Os High Sierra 10.13.6 with SSd drive and 8GB of RAM.
I googled some browser tests, and I found this website: https://browserbench.org and ran all 4 tests available, and compared it to the latest version of Safari (12.0.1), the latest version of Chrome (70.0.3538.102) and here is what I found:
Firefox: Motion Mark: 49.13 Speedmeter: 21.5 Ares-6: 207.57ms JetStream: 62.505
Chrome: Motion Mark: 54.58 Speedmeter: 27.4 Ares-6: 72.39ms JetStream: 62.919
Safari: Motion Mark: 98.79 Speedmeter: 34.5 Ares-6: 58.29ms JetStream: 85.729
As you can see, the Firefox performance is rather poor, and it's been like that on my MacBook since I remember. I thought this new Quantum one will be much better, but I'm very disappointed.
Why is this happening? Why is Firefox so slow? I'd appreciate your thoughts on this.

For years I have used Firefox and been able to login to my NatWest Account - suddenly I am no longer able to have this facility. SECURE CONNECTION FAILED - The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data couldn't be verified. Please contact the owners of the website to inform them of this problem.
I looked on your help site to see if there were others with this challenge and found some comments from some sanctimonious prat to the effect that this should be remedied by the website owner and that eventually the website would no longer be able to be accessed by any other browser such as Chrome, Edge etc. Great, but I need to see my bank accounts online and rather than change banks, I am changing to Edge so that I can. Eventually NatWest may have to change their security but until then I am going to move away from Firefox, and, I know I only contribute a small amount to your "cause" every year but I shall take that away as well - you are too "holier than thou" in your approach to security and take no thought of how its implications affect the user.

I've had trouble accessing websites that use a certificate that's signed with the DigiCert Root CA. As an example, if I open up blog.mozilla.org, I get a SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER.
This is somehow related to my user profile. If I create a new profile, the problem disappears.
I've tried deleting cert*.db in my profile directory to no avail. I checked about:config and I couldn't find any relevant non-default configuration.
To my surprise, if I want to manually set the trust of the certificate in the certificate manager ("Edit Trust"), it tells me that the certificate is trusted. However, if I click on "View Certificate", I get the following error: "Could not verify this certificate because the issuer is unknown."
I don't know much about CAs, but it seems to be surprising how the issuer of a Root CA could be unknown, isn't that the whole point of a Root CA that it does not need to be signed by another certificate?
The more important question: Where in my profile may I have a non-default option that causes Firefox to not trust the DigiCert Global Root CA?

A while back I started having problems with tabs hanging in Firefox. This happens arbitrarily, in any site, without any user input. It may happen with tabs that have been on the background for a long while or with a brand new tab that I just opened. I'm attaching screenshots for a tab (that was) showing Facebook and one for a new tab without any site loaded. Whenever this happens, there will be a "WebContent" process at 100% CPU. The only solution is for me to kill that process.
I'm seeing this in two different computers, work and home. The usage pattern between these two is quite different, although I do have Firefox sync in both of them. I've tried deleting my profile (rm -rf ~/.mozilla/) but that hasn't helped. I've tried using safe mode and couldn't reproduce the error, but since these crashes happen about twice a day it's hard to say for sure. There are no crash reports in about:crashes.
Any tips to troubleshoot this problem?
