Firefox 63.0b3 (64-bit) OS: MacOS 10.13.6

History: Setting "Always use private browsing mode" is enabled.

Tracking Protection: Use Tracking Protection to block known trackers: Always

Problem: there's no way to add a site to list of exceptions in "Tracking protection" section.

Enabling setting "Disable blocking temporarily" just disables tracking protection for one session (browser restart) but does not add the site to the list of exceptions.

Im using Firefox Developer 63.0b2 x64 on Windows 7 x64. Since last update, i can't start Firefox normally. Process appears in task manager, but there is no Firefox window. After few seconds process closes. I've tried to run profile manager, but the same thing is happening. I've also tried reinstalling Firefox - it works to the next Firefox restart. It looks very similar to these threads: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1179822#answer-1019375 https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1181740#answer-1021470 https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1181405#answer-1022798 https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1182572#answer-1023413 https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1182847#answer-1024290 But I have no Logitech drivers installed... For example, attaching a file to an email will bring up the macOS file browser. After navigating to the desired file and then selecting/clicking the file icon, both Firefox and the macOS file browser will immediately freeze. Note, the freeze happens when I selecting/clicking the file icon in the system browser--before clicking the [open] button in the finder window.

Interestingly, uploading a file via drag-and-drop (if supported by the website) works perfectly fine.

- The rest of my system does not freeze. Other macOS finder windows continue to work fine. - This uploading issue is not found in other browsers or programs that use the same macOS file browser. - Only "workaround" is to force quit FF, restore the browser session, and then hope the website supports drag-and-drop uploads. Or use another browser to upload the file.

    1. What I have already done:

- Already "refreshed" FF. - Already placed FF in safe mode.

Any help would be appreciated!

The script blocker that I use shows that "vk-analytics.com" tries to load on every page I open, even google.com, duckduckgo.com, etc. I updated to the latest version of Firefox but that didn't help. I downloaded another browser "Opera" and added a script blocker extension on it. That script does not try to load on any page that I open in Opera. What is causing this to happen in Firefox. If you navigate to vk-analytics.com you are redirected to vk.com, apparently a popular European social website.

After completing an update to firefox 63.0, my previous extensive list of bookmarks in "bookmarks menu" and "bookmarks toolbar" and "bookmarks other" are no longer there AND they are not in the backup bookmarks folder.

How do I recover them? I have already been through numerous solutions suggested in the forum without success. Will going back to a previous version of firefox restore them? Creating an earlier restore point hasn't helped.

I really need these bookmarks.

Thank you.

Hello,

Since a while I often have a problem that when I open a link in a new tab, the page doesn't open (tab keep showing the loading image, but nothing happens). This also is the case when I use ctr + t to make a new tab, type something (so it will open the search engine page searching on what i typed) but it just keeps loading and do nothing. The problem is sometimes it does work and sometimes it doesn't (same session, even when opening a link in a new tab that keeps loading and open the link 5 times more, from the 5 times 4 keeps loading and 1 does open the page).

I'm using Mozilla developer edition, curious if other also have this problem.

Kind regards, Evert

Update killed my separate search and address bars/boxes. Now I am back to one search/address bar/box. I LOVED that I could enter something in the search bar/box, follow through results, making use of tabs as needed, and my search bar/box retained the original search term until I deliberately cleared it. For complex searches, this is quite a time saver.

I want my search bar/box back. How can I restore it?

I've tried deleting the xul file and other recommended solutions.

I have both bookmarks and command toolbars enabled.

Display is 3840x2160, Microsoft Windows 10 x64 has Display Scale and Layout set to change the size of text, apps, and other items at 175%.

Launching Firefox will always launch the window taller than the screen height (2160) having the command bar above the top of the screen and the bottom of the browser below the bottom toolbar.

Resizing and then quitting and relaunching will launch Firefox at resized window size. Firefox settings are set to remove all cookies and cache upon exit. Exiting with File->Exit or clicking the top right X both seem to work.

After some period of time, typically after a screen lock or reboot, a new launch will revert back to the old size that goes off the screen.

I need to figure out how to make the resize sticky.
