I'm unable to get Firefox to stay open more than a second or two for the past week. I attempted updating the software by downloading the latest release and installing it, but that part even failed and it crashed again. It also crashes immediately when in Safe Mode. Here are a few of the crash IDs:

I downloaded Mozilla on my Mac yesterday, and it was working just fine. The icon was in the dock, and I just had to click on it to browse. However, when I tried to use it this morning, I couldn't find the Firefox icon or the program. I checked my launcher, and it wasn't there. What do I need to do to make sure I don't lose it every time I close my computer.

mozilla security blog mar 25 2011 https://blog.mozilla.org/security/2011/03/25/comodo-certificate-issue-follow-up This is a follow-up to the previous Mozilla report about the fraudulent certificates issued by Comodo last week. On 15th March 2011, a RA partner of the Comodo CA suffered an internal security breach (Comodo incident report). The attacker used the RA’s account with Comodo to cause 9 fraudulent certificates to be issued. The domain names of the certificates were as follows:

   addons.mozilla.org
   login.live.com
   mail.google.com
   www.google.com
   login.yahoo.com (x3)
   login.skype.com
   global truste

(and the rest, see link) I still found all certifacate-domain-names in mozilla I only deleted global trustee. What to do with the rest ?

When I try to include an attachment or insert an image into my Comcast email, the "spinning-circle-of-eternity" continuously spins and freezes all open tabs. I cannot access them. An uppermost bar opens up indicating that firefox is not responding. All I can do is minimize the page and/or restart the pc from what used to be the "start" button. This is fairly recent, and I wonder if it's from the most recent upgrade, or a known issue.

Since Firefox was update I can't download pdfs from the sites I have to use for work. If there is anyone who is willing to work with me or can fix the issue I’d appreciate it. However, your help system has simply left me flat at this point since it seems to have a no-contact, hands-off policy.

My Firefox setting is to clear history on closing, so every instance of Firefox is a new instance with no history - closed out and tried again after the pdfs refused to download the first time Tried to update plugin for Adobe Acrobat - didn't work Tried to let Firefox update all plugins itself - didn't work Tried all fixes for pdfs in help lookups, including resetting Firefox, changing to use Firefox previewer, etc. Created exception to popup blocking for Costco vendor website Removed popup blocking entirely Uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox

By the way, your image upload failed miserably. I was going to upload a pdf showing the conversation trail between the Costco help desk and myself regarding the pdfs, but the upload of the image hung.

Also, I had a user account created, and it wouldn't let me log in. Updated password but same thing - no dice. Closed out of Friefox, went back in, still no luck. Re-set password again, but still not working. Have had to create a new personal account to get help. As a user am non-plussed by your non-support.

Any help will be appreciated. If no help forthcoming then my company will uninstall Firefox from every PC - it's currently our default browser but we can't afford non-productive time with a non-working browser.

Thanks, Beth Asher

I just got home from a trip -- I left on 12/22 and returned on 1/3 only to discover that sometime in the interim, Firefox "no longer works." Yesterday my Firefox browser was apparently hijacked.

System information: Macbook Pro macOS Sierra 10.12.2 fully updated Extensions: uBlock Origin, Lastpass, Self-destructing cookies, Random Agent Spoofer 0.9.5.6, uMatrix

Symptoms: -The size of the browser tool bar and tabs were far too small, like they were zoomed out. The tabs and the buttons in the upper left (red, yellow, green on Mac) no longer overlayed properly. -Home page was redirected to 124bytes.com (the 124 bytes part is correct, not sure if this is the whole address -Surfed to google.com who notified me that I was using an old version of Chrome

-Shut down all add-ons, restarted browser, returned to Google.com, same notification (wanted to ensure that it wasn't an add-on malfunction)

-Changing home page would stick until the browser was restarted -Ran virus/malware scans: Malwarebytes, ClamXav

-No issues were returned with either

Resolution efforts (in order): -ClamXav virus scan -Malwarebytes scan -Delete and reinstall Firefox -Use terminal to look for hidden directories (none found) -Removed (rm -r) all Mozilla and Firefox directories from /Library

The last effort seems to have resolved the problem. Unfortunately I no longer have the user information because it was rm -r

I'm happy to help troubleshoot this further.
