I have been using Mozilla Firefox browser since 2008 but today I came to know that mozilla does not care about its user. Recently, adware attack on my PC which automatically install plugin in Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer

Plugin name CutThePrice which keep generating advertise while surfing. Thank God I found Adware removal tool which is developed by https://toolslib.net/

After scanning a report has been generated this tool has remove CutThePrice plugin from my Firefox and everything is working fine.

I have complain with Mozilla for Firefox browser how could you allow unwanted plugin to automatically get installed on the browser. I don't care about Chrome and Internet Explorer as they are most vulnerable browser crash always whenever I play youtube video or play flash online game. But, I have trust on Firefox since firefox does not consume that much RAM as google update in the background keep using PC memory and this security concern is the biggest drawback for using FireFox

It is the responsibility of developer of Firefox browser to don't allow plugin automatically get install if the plugin does not have publishing certificate or plugin unauthorized.

Please fix it so that at least people could save their life !

I work for a company with over 5oo computers all working in Firefox. Firefox wants to update all of the time, or at least it asks if we’d like to update. However we need our version of Firefox to not update on its own, and furthermore we need the pop-ups to quit asking if we want to update. I know that I can go into the settings on my browser and select “Never check for updates”, which I’m assuming would prevent the automatic updates and the pop-up asking me if I want to update. What I need to know is is there a way I can login to all 500+ computers all remotely, all at once, and preferably through a server, in order to change the setting in all browsers? I should mention that only four employees have administrator login privileges to change settings and run programs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I received a message stating that " Total Browser Security could not be verified for use in Firefox and has been disabled." Total Browser Security is made by Mozilla which makes Firefox!!! So Why in the heck could it NOT BE VERIFIED for use in FIREFOX?

So I would like to Delete it/Remove it from my list of "Extensions". however I have tried to remove it following all of the suggested methods, but have been unsuccessful. Is there a way to actually remove it?

Also, would the Total Browser Security disabled keep causing the Adobe Flash Plug-in to crash, and cause all of my web browsers to freeze and crash and then cause my computer to freeze? Or could that just be due to my computer being 9 years old?

I plan on building a new computer either later this year or early next year, whenever I get the money. I am trying to make this computer last.

So I have a few machines that are setup to Sync with each other. I got a new laptop and am using my old one as a Test machine. I added the new one to my Sync setup which worked great. I then uninstalled all the add-ons from the old laptop but forgot to Disconnect it from Sync first. Now it removed all my add-ons from all my Firefoxes. Is there any way to undo that so I don't have to go try to remember what add-ons I had and go find them all again?

This scenario is on an appliance with a locked UI and no internet access. This scenario is not on the laptop.

Background info: - Linux embedded system - Firefox browser is being used to for local console display connecting to local web server on the appliance - Since this is an embedded appliance, there is no guarantee that an internet connection is available - Options have been set on the Firefox browser so that the end user does not have access to the Add-ons menu. Referred to as "kiosk" mode.

The scenario is to enable and allow Java on the browser.

Typically, on a laptop, the Java plug-in can be activated by navigating to http://www.java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp. The user is prompted to activate the Java plug-in.

On this embedded appliance, there is no internet connection available, and the user does not have access to the Add-ons menu.

Is there a scripted method to perform the same steps? Activating Java creates a copy of the pluginreg.dat, but there are other settings that are required to completely activate the Java plug-in. Are there preferences that can be set, or other scripts run to perform this action for this scenario on an embedded appliance running Linux?

Thanks for any info.

Hello, I'm developping a math application compiled from c++ to javscript with emscripten 1.34.1 http://www-fourier.ujf-grenoble.fr/~parisse/xcasen.html (source http://www-fourier.ujf-grenoble.fr/~parisse/giac/emgiac.tgz) Under Firefox 45, performances are good, for example on my Mac, factoring a 128 bit integer takes 1/10 of second http://www-fourier.ujf-grenoble.fr/%7eparisse/xcasen.html#+time(ifactor(2**128+1))& But with newer Firefox releases, the speed as decreased, by a factor of 10 with Firefox 48, now it takes one second for the same computation. The Firefox desktop version is now significantly slower than the native version and the mobile version becomes really too slow. Is there some explanation and workaround other than telling my users to downgrade to Firefox 45? Thanks.

Hi, I need to style a webpage http://www.lancaster.ac.uk/staff/grabows1/accessible/math111/doth4.S3.html to suit wishes of a particular visually impaired student.

You can see the style sheet has body * {

   font-family: 'Century Gothic', CenturyGothic, AppleGothic, sans-serif !important;
   font-size: 36pt !important ;
   font-weight: bold !important;

}

However, most mathml notation (but curiously not all of it) is not bold, and perhaps more importantly it is not sans-serif. How can I force everything to be sans-serif bold?

Hello Techies, facts are these: Firefox + HTTPS Everywhere on Linux, updated once a day. I connect to my webmail, Yahoo.com, and often the padlock turns to grey+orange triangle. But https is still present in the URL bar (by the way, I've set browser.urlbar.trimURLs to false). So I try and refresh page (F5), positive result only every now and then. I tried and switched to Basic display (I guess it should be lighter), positive result only every now and then. I feel I can't do anything to fix this annoying and weird lack of security. This "instable green" only occours connecting to Yahoo. When I connect to Facebook, GMail, YouTube or whatever I do NOT have problems at all. No difference using a normal, super updated session rather than a Live one (as I'm doing right now). I've written to Yahoo Help Community to explain as above and I was told it depends on the way Firefox "sees" Yahoo, and to ask You. Thanks a lot... To me it actually IS a Yahoo problem (not the first time, though...), but still I ask you whether you can suggest how to fix the problem or you know more about it. Many thanks and best regard. Alberto

FF 45.2 ESR (latest that will install on this machine with Lucid 5.2.8 Linux) sometimes froze the system, more often crashed without any error message or from any particular action, except being more common with busy ad-laden sites. Crash Reporter has never ever made a report on this system. The FF crash will sometimes take down unrelated text-editing or image-viewing X-windows. Restarting FF (without reboot) sometimes works but sometimes causes another crash while loading the "Sesssion Restore" tab (without any IP connection). Usually 2nd or 3rd FF restarts (no reboot) allow continued operation, if no tabs from Session Restore are activated.

However, in a recent case, starting FF after multiple reboots from system CD and no internet connection would cause immediate crash while loading the Session Resore tab, even if one attempted to stop that tab. Removing "...default/sessionstore-backups" and ".../sessionstore.bak" and ".../sessionCheckpoints.json" allowed FF to run.

Any idea how the session restore procedure could cause repeatable crashes? Not familiar enough with Linux to know how to start FF under a trace procedure, but can put back the suspect files. Is there documentation on how to read those files in an editor?
