Comcast (my.xfinity.com) recently changed their web page (looks like they added more content/adds). The page never stops loading. It stops and then starts up again. Firefox would crash when I directed to this page. I refreshed Firefox and then uninstalled and reinstalled it from control panel. Now I have deleted all "history". I have also upgraded the modem to be Docsis 3.0 compliant when I couldn't solve this problem by software changes. I was using a Docsis 2.0 compliant modem before this problem. Comcast service came today and made the connection work with Internet Explorer and indicated my problem was Firefox.

I've installed Firefox on my new Dell Windows 10 computer and I'd like to "restore" my bookmarks from my old Windows XP computer. I made a "backup" bookmark file, but on the new computer NO bookmarks library displays when I press Ctrl/Shift/B, or when I click on the "show your bookmarks" icon. Nothing happens!

I am currently running Firefox 44.0.1 on Ubuntu 12.04.

When I first updated to 43, any HTML5 embedded video caused a crash. I fixed that by changing media.fragmented-mp4.ffmpeg.enabled to "false." From then on, everything went fine until I updated to 44 yesterday.

Now the crashes are back. Any time there is an HTML5 embedded video, the browser crashes. This is true even if the video doesn't play — I have media.autoplay.enabled set to "false." But if I so much as scroll down my facebook feed, the browser crashes as soon as I reach a video. The browser is crashing constantly, to the point of unusability.

The error message output to the command line references h.264, and says "reordered frames present."

I've started in safe mode — same problem. Started with a brand-new profile — same problem. With a brand-new profile in safe mode — same problem. The crashes occur whether or not the OpenH264 plugin by Cisco is enabled or disabled. I've searched about:config for any other "media.fragmented*" parameters, but there are none except the one I mention above.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hello, as much as I love firefox, sync is making me crazy. At first, I lost all my bookmarks, because there was some kind of migration in sync system. Ok, I get it, but you should have done some kind of way to import old ones too... Anyway, I have created new sync and was happy to create my bookmarks collection again. (firefox lover, won't quit too easy)

But today! Fresh linux install, everything fresh, installing firefox → Log in → sync → sync is done → no bookmarks → no profit

I don't know if my account is somehow broken or what, but please explain to me what happened again, because I don't get it. Really its sad.

For added security, I surf the web utilizing a Non-Admin Level Mac User Account. Though I update all software, including Firefox, utilizing an Admin-level Mac User account, again, for added security, I surf using a Non-Admin-level user account. Recently, while surfing with my non-admin account, I've been receiving prompts from Firefox to update the current version. When I click on the "About Firefox" menu, the display shows my current version 44.0.1 (Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5), shows that "updates are available" and provides a link. Clicking the link redirects to a Mozilla web page informing me that my current version of Firefox is up-to-date. Clicking the "About Firefox" menu utilizing an Admin Level Account, however, the window shows my version as being current. Why, when using my non-admin-level account, does Firefox believe my version is not up-to-date -- sending prompts to update whenever I use it, when in fact, the version is up-to-date.

I'm having a problem with FireFox and Window Blinds conflicting. When Window Blinds is running the Firefox page goes black when I put the mouse on it. If I move the mouse to the scroll bar on the right side it comes in again but as soon as I try to do anything on the page it goes black again. I've tried to re-install both FF and WB's but I'm still having the same problem. It seems to have started with FF ver 45. Having an aweful time figuring out what the problem is!!??

It happens every time when i'm on a page with flash content with the message "flash player 20.0 r has stoped working" (not sure on the exact words of the error message because i'm on a french system, but the meaning of the sentence is right). Only the flash plug in crashes, after i click close program firefox is still runing but the flash content on the page is greyed with the error message "flash plug in stopped working". I tried to reset, reinstall firefox, safe mod, disable hardware acceleration and every kind of fix suggested but it doesn't help. These crash appeared today after i installed the software & drivers for my epson printer which i just received so maybe it's linked but that's weird. The problem is that i need that printer to be installed. My OS is windows 7 64, firefox and flash plugin all up to date. Any ideas ?

Mozilla crashes, then, when it opens back up, it cannot load webpages. It can long webpages' ip address, but it cannot load their DNS. The only fix I have found is to open up Internet Explorer, reinstall firefox, then open it back up. From there, the internet finally works/connects. This issue has been going on for about a week now.
