FIRST - I HATE that you require registration just to ask a question. That is an onerous requirement. Please stop it!!!

TWO - You have the same problem all the time. You create features that are easy to turn on but very difficult to turn off. The Mozilla introduction to the new non-tracking feature claims that by clicking on the shield, you can bring up a menu to turn off tracking. THIS IS NOT TRUE. I was trying to turn tracking back on so that Netflix would allow me access. When I click on the shield , Firefox becomes OBSESSED with telling me that the Netflix connection is not trustworthy. OKAY, I GET IT. NOW LET ME CONNECT ANYWAY. No, it won't. The Mozilla example states that I can turn off tracking globally or just for this site. It shows a menu giving me those options and circles the DISABLE JUST FOR THIS SITE in red. No such menu exists. All I get is that obsession with Netflix being untrusted. I will have to go back to Chrome or IE just to watch Netflix without your damned obstructions that cannot be turned off, as Netflix requires. I am running Win 7 Pro and the latest Firefox. I don't recognize 1/10th of the plug-ins you think I have installed. I tried to upload a screen shot of 178 KB in size to help you out but it would not upload. Just kept rotating. Problems piled up on top of problems.

I recently found, to my horror, that Firefox no longer allows for a windowed options menu whatsoever. I used to be able to search through saved passwords by date created, but the new (and utterly useless) options tab does not let me resize any columns or boxes in any of the myriad options, preventing me from being able to search through my own saved passwords.

Since windowed options have been completely removed, and add-ons to allow them again are cumbersome and frustrating, is there any simple way to use the options tab like a window for functionality's sake? It's extremely frustrating to have all this data stored, but have no way to retrieve it.

I have just had to set up one of computers again from scratch. After wiping the hard drive, setting up a new partition, formatting, and installing Windows, the first thing I did was try to download Firefox.

The site LOOKED legitimate. But it downloaded several nasty unwanted programs into my newly refreshed hard dive, and installed them without my permission. And Yahoo had hijacked everything -- including Internet Explorer.

I could not get rid of Yahoo, so simply went through the entire process again: wiped the hard drive, set u p a new partition, formatted it, reinstalled Windows. ANY amount of effort is better at this point hat fighting Yahoo for the rest of the duration of an install!

My question is: since nobody seems to WANT Yahoo, and it has become a virtual hijacker, anyway, is there any way to "immunize" an install of Firefox so Yahoo can NEVER install itself by stealth? A "never allow" feature or something?

It's bad enough that the new page tab has been ruined with clutter -- which I utterly hate -- but it no longer even displays the search machine. Is that something you did deliberately, or is THAT some kind of hijacker, too? Either way, it's quite awful If I wanted a lot of annoying clutter on a new tab, I'd be using Opera.

in the previous version, I could click "Bookmark this Page" and be given an option to name the bookmark and to save it to a folder or subfolder. I can't see how to do this with the new version in any of the FAQs. There must be a way to do it other than auto-assigning a file name (which I can't find in my very large list) and then moving it to the appropriate folder. If not, can you tell me how to get back on the previous version? I really don't want to have to go back to Internet Explorer. Thank you!

i just want to ask, have others had that small issue, flash update is on manual not automatic, i mean automatic is off, but sometimes it updates automatically while i'm watching video, its just suddenly video starts to lag & then i go out open TaskManager & what i see? i see both old & new version of flash running & that cause other issue, in plugins i also see both versions (its caused by A-update while watching video), so i reinstalled flash to get rid of the older ver, & then sometimes i get flash update with Win Update not just flash security update for IE, & sometimes i have to do it manually, is it normal? i mean do all fox users have that small issue?

Every time FF updated itself it breaks something. I have no access to my addons and I cannot bring them back. I have been trying so hard to stick to FF but I have just been getting disappointed. How can I downgrade this browser so my addons will work properly? I don't need the latest security patches or whatever if my browser will become useless.

I've disabled popups, and all add-ons. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. HOWEVER, I just barely touch any key after opening up Firefox and the Web IDE pop-up developer screen appears. I have not seen this before and have been unsuccessful in getting rid of it. Want it off!!

This only started with the last Firefox update. I run Norton and scan with Malware Bytes every day.
