I have an iMac and a MacBook Air.. Both running same version (40.0.2) of FF... and Yosemite latest...
On my iMac when I quit FF I get a "Clear History Window" enabling me to confirm on exit... I like this !!!
On my MacBook Air I am unable to get this "Clear History" Window on exit.. I have tried all options in the FF Privacy settings with no change.... I just cannot get the same window to activate on exit.
Please can someone help with this as I would like both iMAc and MacBook Air to be the same with "Clear History" Window upon quit.

Hi everybody.
As already mentioned, i would like to wrap the tab-titles to more lines so i am able to display more information of the title. Unfortunately i cannot find a way to do this except the more or less poor addon "tabtweak". I have tried manipulating the style via userChrome.css but all of my efforts wont have any effect on the length/overflow of the displayed text.
Here is what i have tried so far:
/*@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* set default namespace to XUL */
.tabbrowser-tab:not([pinned]) .tab-text {
border: !important; word-wrap: break-word !important; word-break: normal !important; white-space: wrap !important; height: 3em !important; overflow-y: visible !important; overflow-x: visible !important; overflow: visible !important; text-overflow: visible !important; display: inline-table !important; max-width: none !important;}
It would be awesome if someone is able to help out here. Soultice

In our organization we are using a firewall which has an Intrusion Prevention System. The IPS has a certificate which must be imported into the browsers to be able to load SSL websites. This allows the IPS to inspect the contents of secure packets for any malware or viruses. The problem is this isn't working very well with Firefox. Most secure sites bring up one of the following errors:
Secure Connection Failed The connection to <website> was interrupted while the page was loading. The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
OR
Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to <website>. SSL peer rejected a handshake message for unacceptable content. (Error code: ssl_error_illegal_parameter_alert) The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

I've tried a number of solutions including changing security.tls.version.max to 0.
Anyway to fix this other than formatting the whole drive (which seems a bit exaggerated)?

We are working on a library system management software that also provides us a webapp to work. The date is auto-populated in forms in the format yyyy--mm-dd instead of the fact that the computer is setup on mm/dd/yyyy format. Is there a way we can change this or is it something that is embedded in the website. Just a note that the same thing works fine in chrome only.

My computer crashed and thus, firefox did not close properly and lost all of my tabs. Under Menu -> History, the Restore Previous Session is greyed out. Why is this? Shouldn't I be able to restore from there?
I've found replies from "jscher2000" and my sessionstore-backups\previous.js file looks like the one I want to use to restore my tabs. However I do not see how to use this file to restore my tabs.
How do I use previous.js to restore my tabs and tab groups?

When i click fullscreen button on a flash video (for example video embedded from Vimeo) it opens fullscreen on the wrong monitor. Not the one on which the action has been started, but on my laptop built in screen. Extremely annoying as I can't get fullscreen flash running on my external monitor , which I use as my main one. In Chrome it works correctly (but I know it uses Pepper). I'm running Firefox 40.0.3, on Fedora 21 (Linux 4.1.6 . Gnome 3.14).

I submitted a complaint on fuzzy text quite some time ago suspecting keyframes on a webpage was conflicting with text rendering & have finally confirmed that is the case.
I use alot of dropdown menus & text inside the menus will go fuzzy during any keyframe spinning events but clear up when spinning stops however that's not the case if there's a 3d transform coded in the keyframes css & a dropdown sitting right over top of a keyframe coded with transform in it will permanently deform any dropdown text regardless if it's spinning or not & z-index prioritizing has no effect clearing up text either.
I ended up eliminating the 3d transform from my keyframe codes with no noticeable degradation of the keyframe effects & now have clear text on dropdowns as soon as any spinning keyframes end their events.
Thought you guys at Firefox would find this info useful in trying to come up with text rendering immune to keyframe conflicts that don't exist in any other browser I've seen.

Last week I downloaded Windows 10. Since then my Internet connection has slowed from the 30 mbps I pay for down to 1 mbps. I have made sure all my drivers are up to date, updated and performed a full scan with my anti-spyware/anti-malware software, and performed all the disconnections of sharing that I can think of. Is there some way to restore my Internet speed? This is regarding Wi-fi speed, and all other devices in our home on Wi-fi (which are still on Windows 8) are performing at full Internet speed.

After each of at least the last three Firefox updates (I was gone in the month of May and thus may be unaware of other updates), the language bar will not perform properly. Microsoft Word accepts Japanese entry correctly, but in Firefox it does not operate properly, specifically: once the language option is set to "Japanese," with input specified to be via hiragana, when I enter text it appears in unhighlighted Latin letters and neither offers kanji suggestions nor allows kana input.
My machine is a fully updated Windows XP machine. This problem always appears immediately after a Firefox update.

It is getting to where FF doesn't load most pages correctly or at all, with or without plugins installed, and regardless of whether the cache is cleared or not. FF is extremely slow too, even after a fresh install. FF is also not sandboxed. I have no such problems with Chromium.
Tech folks are telling me FF is dying. I was hoping FF would beat Google because I hate Google. I'm finding myself using Chromium most of the time and I hate how its preferences and plugins are limited compared to FF and it doesn't load the home page I specify, instead loading a useless mess of preset links I don't approve. But I have to say I'm at the point of ditching FF completely, which is a disgusting feeling of defeat because now it seems Google dominates the PC browser and it's not even customization-rich and I don't even get to assign my home page to the home button.
If I had to give FF a grade, it would be F. It's like an old car that only goes 25mph and only drives on a rapidly decreasing number of roads where upon the instrumentation fails to light up or the engine might stop altogether. What kind of legacy is this? I'm tired of google maps not displaying correctly. Missing fields, maps, buttons, and graphics all the time. What's the deal? FF used to be great but now it's useless to me; I don't understand why it's still around. Are there plans to redo FF to address all these issues?
If pages would just load correctly I'd even tolerate slower program loading. Sandboxing would be a huge plus and I don't think it's that difficult to achieve. Much has been done to beautify the FF gui while its basic ability to display pages properly and securely is heavily neglected. May I ask where this is going? Give me reasons to stick with FF... Isn't FF worth fixing up?
Thanks, A user concerned about browser monopolies and diminished ability to browse the web productively and in alignment with my computing needs.

I'm trying to get to https://mail.gmail.com
And your program is completely blocking me. I can't even and go add an exception for the server because it says it can't find the certificate. I don't care if you can't find the certificate. I guess I'll IE or chrome for this. Unfortunate, Firefox used to be my favorite.
Personally, I much prefer how IE says, I can't validate the certificate, continue (not recommended) or leave the site. Your program only blocks and doesn't give an option to proceed. even with Fiddler installed I can't identify what site it's tryig to get the certificate from. So, your dialog is useless to me.
Also, other secure websites are giving me problems your program.
