Maybe 3-5 time per session regardless of what websight I want to go to. When rebbot is done I go back to the same websight and try again and it works and I continue on. Even if the automatic updates are enabled one need to either restart browser to apply the update or see the "About Firefox" window to find out that there is some update available. If I set automatic updates I expect more aggressive "update". If one does not close the browser it will not update itself, neither it will notify user about the need to apply the update. For example Chromium changes the colour of the menu icon to indicate that there is pending update.

I like the tiles. The most recent time I installed Firefox, they didn't appear, and I don't have the "gear" icon that the support page describes to change this setting. Can't find anything about it under the options menu either. Image attached of my menu arrangement, in case it helps. It updated yesterday so it should be current.

I am trying to use a Livescribe Echo Smartpen. The Livescribe web site has a utility that allows me to drag-n-drop a PDF file (containing audio) into the site for playback. It is an Adobe "thing". Firefox does not support this.

When will Firefox be brought "up to date" and in line with the rest of the browsers?

This activity is supported by Internet Explorer, Chrome. It is almost supported in Safari (with limitations below OS-X 10.8.5 the image content is displayed but no audio is provided. Livescribe shows this as a "known issue" and as yet has not gone to the trouble of fixing it. Likely this is more an Apple thing than a Livescribe thing.)

When downloading files, a progress bar and badge counter can be helpful and until recently, was a feature which was available through an add-on. The add-on has since, stopped working. The feature is available from Chrome and Opera, for Ubuntu, and even OS X (for OS X only Chrome has this feature and interestingly, the progress bar is present for Firefox, although OS X Firefox lacks the badge counter). Being familiar with the feature, having used different OS's and browsers, this is an excellent feature and is a natural extension of the OS, such as OS X and Ubuntu which use "dock icons". I consider it a type of "garnishment" that elevates the browser. Small things make things immeasurably elegant. It would be great if this feature is incorporated into the next version of Firefox.

Also, as an aside, I've noticed that Firefox on OS X (Macbook Pro, Mountain Lion) uses a lot of CPU cycles (approaching > 40% and sometimes 90%+) when playing HD content from Youtube. This is less of a problem in other browsers and note that the default was changed to HTML5 for all browsers. The laptop has no problems playing HD content through media players such as VLC. I'm unable to compare this problem against my PC (i5-3570K) because Firefox Ubuntu on my PC will only play videos at 360p. I can't seem to change this even after a reinstall and refresh.

Thanks, Joe

First of all firefox is my favorite and default browser for a long time now in the windows OS. And I'd like to be able to adjust the colors of the html5 videos, as I can with internet explorer. Is something like this under consideration to be added in a future build? Because this lack of color settings is the only reason, I'm still using flash to play videos in youtube and other sites

What is with the new site design?

I can't navigate through it unless I am hit with a myopic armchair CEO think-tank survey at every page turn?

NO THANKS MEANS NO $%^*&*^&%$ THANKS!

Not- "You're gonna answer this survey whether you like it or not!"

Decentralize your Bill Lumbergh and get back to your grass roots.

I forfeit my place as a Mozilla user on the web.

You should be ashamed of yourselves.
