Several people including me have reported a problem when closing Firefox and then attempting to re-open it. The message "FF is already running and must be closed...." appears, yet the taskbar does not show an active FF. At that point it is necessary to use Task Manager to close the old run. 1. This did not always happen on my computer- has started recently. 2. Most of the time it is in fact possible to open multiple versions of FF without difficulty. This problem only seems to happen if I close the first session and then immediately try to open a new one. So my question is what causes this, not what workaround can to used when it occurs.

I was updating Adobe Reader 9.x to 10, and when Adobe offered the chance, I followed the

directions and clicked on the file. For some reason I got two progress bars of installation

status. One of which was Adobe Reader X, the other was "Google Chrome". When all was complete, I

had a shortcut placed on my desktop labled Google Chrome. I did not click on this icon to this

day. FireFox's homepage is Google. Now is FireFox utilizing this new google download in any way,

and what is the shortcut on my desktop for? When FireFox opens with Google, it appears no

different that it ever did. I wanted to use "Add or Remove programs" to delete this "Chrome"

deal, but I'm not sure if that would mess up FireFox in any way. I hate when these kind of

surprises happens. Please Advise ... HELP !!!! pdh

Firefox is the only site I cannot see my picture or picture of others when I go to MY YEARBOOK I don't have the problem if I use google crome or e please help maybe I hit the wrong bar at one point I don't know thanks I just want to restore the picture part of the website. Thanks

I just wanted to drag the address of a site to an email and noticed the address/location bar does not show the address. It's shows google instead and where the icon for a site used to be it's a drop down menu for seach engines. So how do I get the address bar back?

it seems when firefox upgrades it occassionally generates a new profile for me....even if i already have one. _what is firefox looking at to make this decision.? _i work in a AD windows 7 environment with a roaming profile.

The site http://habrahabr.ru/blogs/css/58732/ recommends a way for using vertical text in HTML/CSS (see example below). However my instance of Firefox 3.6.22 does not display this vertical text. Please let me know your recommendations/

my browser left off to work with a magazine and book-marks and gives out a report: "Work with a magazine and book-marks is not possible, because one of files of Firefox is used other application. Such is during work of the protective programs".

When I type a url or paste in one and hit enter, the enter key is not recognised and nothing happens. it wont load. If I use a bookmark and click on a saved url that will load automatically. Have uninstalled and reinstalled firefox and it hasn't resolved the problem.

Netflix and Hotmail are the main problem. Both of them are are asking me to update my browser. I already have Firefox 3.6.22 installed. Disabling any and all Plug-In's has done nothing.

I think it may be a configuration problem in my About:Config, but I do not know what it is. Is there a way to force Firefox to report a certain version to websites?

Dear Sirs,

have firefox 3.4, want to install Firematcher (addon fpr plagiarism check). At least Jre 6u12 is required, although I installed Jre 7, I receice an error 'you have to install Jre 6u12min'.

Why does this go wrong?

I was on facebook and deleted an icon by using the right-click menu but then all my pictures and all profile pictures, could no longer be seen. I was able to view them in Explorer so this is something I did in Firefox. How can I unblock a site?

i like the split screen because i have a wide screen monitor. however, i don't know how to open a bookmark from the panel that is split?
