I would like to know how to access Add-Ons on the other user account on this same computer. As well as how to hide the Add-ons from showing on the bottom bar of the screen but still have access to them

My third question is how to automatically disconnect from Sync once I close Firefox. So that only the person with the master password has access to the saved information.

Hello. I run Windows Vista on a Toshiba laptop and use Firefox 3.6.11 I am attempting to watch a movie via the NetFlix "instant watch" feature. I have noticed that both movies tend to be a bit dark. I cannot find any settings options to change the brightness or contrast within Firefox.

I am also looking into the NetFlix help site in case this is JUST with their movies. I am mostly just curious to know if it is possible to change these settings.

ALSO - changing the computer's settings does not affect the problem in any way either better or worse.

The second bar is inside of the sizing grip on the right side of the status bar. It does nothing, but take up space. The functional progress bar appears only when it is working inside of the message panel and outside of the authentication panel on the left side of the status bar. I've turned the status bar off and then on again--no luck. I've also tried disabling all add-ons--no luck. I've also changed themes--no luck. Do I need to re-install the browser?

Happened only with this one computer. The organize bookmarks window doesn't let me view any bookmarks so I can't export the restored bookmarks to html format. I can only see the restored bookmarks in the drop down list. Kept a bookmark backup file safe if even they vanish.

When I use Firefox in a lot of websites it prevents the promotional photos and flash... For example: pic of mediafire website, first with firefox. second with cometbird browser.

Ever since the new update (3.6.11) My favs & history won't show up in the url bar as I type. Anyone else having this prob or know how to solve? Also, its not a privacy setting issue, ive double checked this. For that matter, when I try to adjust my privacy settings to custom, the setting bounces back to remember all. I don't know if this is an update glitch or an add-on glitch. All I know is the previous 3.6.10. wasn't doing this.

On my XP computer the "import" option screen shows both IE and Netscape/Mozilla as choices; on this Windows 7 machine the only option is IE. Re-start doesn't help, and the installation of Firefox went smoothly.

when given the option after update completed, to try new persona I choose an autumn scene. However, it is so dark that I am hardly able to see my toolbars/menus. I want to UNDO but am unable to locate the option in Mozilla

I live in the Uae. I chose to download firefox in British English and Arabic text is also coming up on on the pages. This means I can't understand what some of the options are. How do I lose the arabic and make it pure english? Can I lose the arabic? Or do I need to choose a different search engine?

I do a lot of comparative research and 25 tabs open is usual. Sometimes I need a lot more - (I have had 40+ tabs open...) My question is: When or if, should I look at opening a new browser window?

I purchased a song to download from Walmart.com and received the error message when I tried to download the song; "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (wmms) isn't associated with any program." I've never had a problem before. I paid for this download & I can't even access it.

When I first start Firefox everything is fine. And everything remains fine as long as I don't type into any web page's text boxes. I can type into the address or search bar all day long without any problems.

But, for example, just typing into the edit box to ask this question on this site will result in the problem after I type in over say 150 characters. After that typing ANYWHERE in Firefox will be painfully slow, even the address bar or the search bar. It doesn't seem to matter which site I use to type in text. All cause the problem to occur after typing in enough keystrokes.

Browsing & mouse clicking remains fast -- it's only typing that seems to be affected. In order to recover I have to restart Firefox.

If I look at the Firefox.exe cpu usage in Process Explorer I can see that once the problem occurs, the cpu usage starts spiking every time I type a key. In fact Firefox maxes out one of my dual cores so the cpu is at 50%! It drops down to 0% again once I stop typing.

As mentioned in the subject this is in Safe Mode with all extensions & plugins disabled. I am running on Windows XP SP3 with an old AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ (1.81Ghz) with 2.00GB of RAM.

I think this started to noticeably happen with Firefox 3.6 (it's amazing how long I can browse without typing) but it used to happen occasionally with earlier versions. Now it is annoyingly repeatable.

I have to use "-no-remote -P ForTyping" to start up a separate Firefox session that I just use to type into text boxes so I can restart it at will. I also compose messages in an external editor and just paste them into Firefox to avoid typing as much as possible.

I was trying to go into "http://laparrillaonline.com/". Instead a window popped up stating " 509 Bandwidth Limit Exceeded and below it said: The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later. Apache/1.3.39 Server at laparrillaonline.com Port 80 Is it my computer or his server that exceeded it? Thank you

Under Tools>Options>Privacy tab, until recently, there was a cookies button that allowed you to type into a list the URL of specific tracking cookies that you wanted to block. If any anti-virus scans found any such cookies, I could add them into the list. That was a great option. It seems that list and that option no longer exists. Why

When I start typing XYZ in the address bar I want it to come up with autocomplete suggestions for URLs that begin with XYZ such as http://xyz.qwerty.com or http://www.xyzqwerty.com and NOT http://www.qwerty.com/asdfgXYZhjkl/

The worst thing is that it also looks at the title of pages. What use is it for me when I type 'er' in the address bar and it comes up with the URL for a page titled "In Twin Peaks: THE REAL FWWM WOODS AND DEER MEADOW...AND WIND RIVER' because of the ERs in the titles, when the URL of the said page is http://www.intwinpeaks.com/2008/05/real-fwwm-woods.html ?!?!

That is to say to behave like it did on FF2. In fact that's one of the major reasons why I stayed with FF2 until a few wees ago.

The other thing is that you combined the small back and forward arrows into one, which is very inconvenient I see that on IE, not sure whose original idea it was but it certainly isn't making the browser more user friendly.

I wish these were OPTIONAL features, features we can adjust from the settings.

Okay. There are really two problems I've been having.

1. When I do the above-mentioned task, I have no history. when I click on History, it will give me 10 most recently visited websites, as well as the option to Show All History. When I click on Show All History, the box that pops up is completely blank. Other than my 10 most recent sites, I have no idea what websites I have been visiting.

2. If I try to bookmark a page, and then I click on the folder menu, and select 'Choose...', it goes blank. It does not show the dozens of bookmark folders that I have created for myself.

Both of these issues are extremely frustrating for me. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
