I've been trying to connect to a FTP server using WinSCP, but the server just won't allow it, despite me having the right login informations and all.

I tryed it on Firefox, and I could connect and see the files just fine. The problem is, Firefox doesn't do uploads and file edits.

My guess is that the problem comes from me selecting the wrong port to connect with on WinSCP.

To test my theory, I wanted to check which port Firefox was using to connect to the server. But I searched in every menu option (I think) but didn't find the info I wanted.

Any ideas on how to find it ?

This company's online system has only been tested with IE. I've hit a glitch trying to log off. When I log off, it takes me to the log in screen, but I'm not logged off and can't log back in. I'm going to try it using IE and see if the problem disappears. If it does, can I use IE just for this company and use FF for everything else?

Hello, I would like to be able to document all the add-ins, along with version information as well as any other readily available information that is part of the firefox installation.

I am aware that there is a dialog box at tools-addins, but I want to be able to catpure the entire list in a text format for the purpose of documenting the installation and for reporting troubleshooting.

Is there something available? Is there a place to make an enhancement suggestion if not?

According to http://support.mozilla.com/en-us/kb/keyboard+shortcuts, "Ctrl+End" should move the current tab to the end of the list of tabs.

But the shortcut does not work. It only scrolls to the end of the current page as if only "End" is pressed.

I have tried safemode of firefox, and closed every other opened program.

What else should I do to debug this problem? or may it's a bug in firefox somehow?

hi, one day, my search engine (just the default - google) has gone from my search engine field next to the address bar in firefox.

if i click the drop down button and go "search engines", there's nothing listed in there, and the "restore defaults" button is greyed out.

i have uninstalled FF, and deleted the profiles directory, but still when i reinstall there's still no seach engines available..

i've tried deleting the search.sqllite file in the profile and it doesn't help (of course - deleting the whole profile doesn't work).

any ideas?

Heya,

From time to time, I'm using my girlfriends laptop with Windows 7. I have my own profile there.

As she is Italian, she has installed the Italian Firefox. I do not speak any word of Italian, so that is abit of a problem to me. Is there any way for me to install any other language such as English or Norwegian, without affecting her installation of the Italian Firefox?

Is there a way to get Firefox to load a file when the file name includes the character "#".

I use #'s in filename's to represent musical key signatures, and want to continue to do so.

I've tried using "& # 35 ;" (without the intervening spaces) in place of the #'s but this doesn't work.

Neither of the following file references work with FireFox (both work with IE) ...

   ... src="./A& # 35 ;.png" ...       <=  (without the intervening spaces)

   ... src="./A#.png" ...
