I am using Firefox 35.0.1 and I have installed Shockwave Flash 16.0.0.296. As soon as Flash starts, Firefox freezes and unfreezes until it can't be used at all. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the flash player and I have also used Firefox's Refresh option. This problem started a couple of days ago & I don't know what else I can do.
I've tried to change the screen resolution, but that made it worse. My screen Help!

I went on vacation for 2 weeks. Upon return:
1. Firefox would not go to the preset home page. It simply showed a blank page. 2. It would not auto-fill passwords, or ask for the master password.
The latter was not a huge problem, since the passwords were stored.
NOW, they've all disappeared! I hope they're in a file in my profile, and I simply need to re-point to that file. Right? Right? Because that is the ONLY record of most of those. It goes back years.
In general and in summary - wtf, Mozilla?
PS: This page is telling me I have Firefox 10.0! About Firefox says 35.0.1! ?????

The default Google search from the search box is set as google.com. This forces the location to be set as US. I would like to use google.co.nz instead so that my location is recognised as New Zealand. Tried using ABOUT: CONFIG to change the settings for "browser.search.defaulturl" and "keyword.url" to "google.co.nz" but this had no effect. How can I get this change implemented?

There is an outdated page on the Adobe Flash web site being blocked by Firefox 35.0.1 on Windows 7. Version 16..0.0.235 of Flash is labeled a security risk, "Always activate" is greyed out. I was on the Plugins page, and there I clicked the update now linktext. I was advised that all older versions of Flash in the version 11 range are blocked. Nowhere to go from there. (My screenshot has a piece off the Plugins page above the resulting page when I clicked on the indicated link.)
The outdated page being blocked was allowed and I was able to run through the download procedure, but in the end I had an error. I repeatedly tried downloading install_flashplayer16x32_mssd_aaa_aih.exe, which downloads OK, and when I run it it downloads and installs Adobe Flash, then says Finish and "There was an error."
Glary Utilities software updater updated Internet Explorer's Flash, said nothing of Firefox, now I know why. This is a mess.
I opened up firefox -p and went to the new blank profile I had created sometime back. It was happily running a fully-enabled version 11 of Flash (I bet that wouldn't last long as my browser bites me in the butt and disables it).
Firefox -p and I created a new profile today. It has this crippled version 16.0.0.235 of Flash.
It appears that Mozilla has an outdated page telling me that all old versions in the range of version 11 are blocked. No word there about the more recent versions.
From what else I've read, others are turning to other browsers and coming up with a bad Flash, too. I only have Firefox (well, Internet Exploder, which I discounted as a piece of rubbish ever since they came out with IE 7).
Any advice? Thank you.

Note: I just downloaded Firefox on a brand new Surface Pro 3 with Win 8.1 installed. There is nothing on the machine yet to be causing issues. It's FF 35.0.1. There are no add-ons or Extensions except what came with the install because the first time I went to the add-on page, it gave me the "Secure Connection failed" error" with the notice about how the Peer Certificate has been revoked. (Kind of frustrating when you are trying to set up your desktop -- I don't even use that many add-ons but I'd like to have the few I do.)
Oh, and I wanted to add this to the thread already started on this topic, but since I didn't already have an account in the forum, mozilla support forced me to create a whole new thread. Otherwise, I would have just said "Me too" or "Ditto" but instead you get this ramble.
Thanks in advance for any help.

For years I have been able to watch a certain tv show online, ads and all. Now they suddenly tell me to switch off my adblocker or the video will be in black and white only. But I never installed an adblocker so I have no idea what they're on about or where to look for it. Is it built in into Firefox? And if so what's the name and where can I find it to shut it off? And if it's not in Firefox how can I find out where it is?

I just installed Firefox (win7). When I input text, the last character input lags about oh, 1/2 second. The preceding characters do not appear to lag. It doesn't matter what application (Gmail, etc.) or what kind of field it is... in a forum, in the search field/address bar, even right here. The arrow keys also lag which makes it hard to accurately navigate within text.
Idisabled all add-ons, themes, plugins, etc. to no avail. I refreshed Firefox to no avail.
This does not occur in any other browser (Opera, Chrome or IE 11). Only in FireFox
