Why should I allow a direct install from net as admin in my computer - rather let them give me the .msi or .exe. No direct connection to net as admin!

Should we encourage this philosophy of connecting to the net as administrator even for freeware? I don't know why Adobe insists on this? Why can't they simply give a .msi… (read more)

Should we encourage this philosophy of connecting to the net as administrator even for freeware? I don't know why Adobe insists on this? Why can't they simply give a .msi for install (maybe encoded with the mac address of the machine if they want to restrict secondary distribution? Why should the user face the threat of connecting his machine to net as a administrator with all the associated vulnerabilities?

Once a tab is created, how do you make sure the tab is saved so that when Mozilla is brought up on the screen, those tabs are there at the top.

i want yahoo.co.uk option in searchbar so prices of products are in POUNDS, not dollars

every time i use the searchbar, i always end up with ebay.COM or amazon or other AMERICAN sites, and that is annoying because the prices are in DOLLARS not POUNDS, and the searchbar "options" don't include non us sites for some reason!

Shutdown iMac then turn back on Firefox starts up small again and resize "Command +". How permanently resize. Just started doing this.

When I shutdown my iMac for the day and then go back following day and turn it on the Firefox has resized itself to small again. I need to hit "Command +" to get to size I want. It used to stay the size I had set a page to even after a shutdown and later restart of system (never viewed and resized pages would be small size) until just a few days ago when I did a MacKeeper clean up. What setting did I change that caused this?

updated foxfire, macafee not working

foxfire was slow, cleared history, cookies etc and also did a tune-up/refresh, now Macafee security not working with it when using google etc, still works on explorer. ma… (read more)
