Firefox keeps hijacking my files. They can then be opened only with Firefox, and then other tools (which were written to use Internet Explorer) cannot do their job. Unfortunately, since the laptop is owned by my employer, I cannot simply remove Firefox from the laptop. How can I disable Firefox without removing it from my PC?

== As soon as I started using the laptop.

I want to know why you have changed from the very simple, uncluttered google search box to this awful, busy front page? If this continues I will probably go to Internet Explorer although there's is almost as 'busy'.

We used to get, when clicking on Mozilla, a simple box (Google) with a space to put the subject you wanted searched. Simple and uncluttered. I went to Mozilla because of this, as Internet Explorer was messy and cluttered. Imagine my dismay when I find Mozilla has gone the same way!!! I do not want 'Alot' as the homepage for searches, nor do I want all the crazy advertising, etc. - I just want the simple, uncluttered box back but do not know how to achieve this.

This bat just appeared one day. I don't know if it came from an email with a link I accessed or where it came from. It appears to do nothing. The little icon sits in the centre with arrows on each end - which moves the bar barely at all. No response when I click on it.

Followed FAQ advice and installed Leak Monitor add-on. Occasional leaks occur while surfing. On one site (Chase Bank online banking) leaks occur so often I can't keep up with closing the Leak Monitor alert windows. Why does this occur on particular sites? Is it a problem with the site or with Firefox (3.5.9)? What can be done about it? Thanks.

We've noticed that some users hitting our website have an empty ( ) at the end of their user agent string. This is typically where the .net framework asst version info is. We only see it with the latest generation of firefox, 3.6.3, 3.5.9, etc. It seems to have started or gotten much worse around 4/26. Here is an example - "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3 ( )" Anyone have any idea what changed? - Thanks

When I open "markets" from the homepage, it comes up but drops off after a few seconds and I get a white page. This does not happen with Explorer. A similar but much more extensive problem happened a month or so ago (I couldn't open attachments). I called Microsoft and the fellow messed about with my computer for an hour or so, but ended up saying he couldn't help me. However, when he went away, the problems went away.
