My problem just started today. I seem to have picked up some pop-ups one of them involving "trackjumpclick.com" another one tells me that my Java version is not up to date. I updated Java and still get this message. Any ideas on how to get rid of these things? Thanks in advance for any help.

I am using a laptop running Win 8, and I ALWAYS want to open Comcast with Firefox, which I set up to be my default browser. But after creating a shortcut icon to the Comcast URL on Firefox, Comcast still opens with IE. I can't find where anyone else has reported this exact same problem, which is very frustrating. Please help!

Downloaded the update to FF 33.1.1 only to find the TAB bar is now at the top rather than the bottom under my bookmarks.
Tried the solution I have used in the past... about:config / tabs / browser.tabs.onTop but the 'browser.tabs.onTop' isn't listed for me to be able to change to 'false'
In the past when I have done that the tabs revert to my favoured position but not with the new release of FF 33.1.1.
Can anyone suggest a solution ?
(I do wish that when updating Firefox would not interfere with the users previous settings or if thats too difficult for them, make it easy so you could just 'drag' all the toolbars, tabs bars etc etc into the position you want them)

I downloaded on my old mac few years ago this add-on 'press-this' a super nice way to post on my blog built in with wordpress.org, then when I got my new laptop, i have tried the same and it s not working. previously there was on a tool bar the icon appearing, and i only needed on click to post things. now i cannot use it as i did in the part, there is an icon, but it takes me back to wp.com which i don't use, I have a blog as a page in my website with wordpress.com and firefox doesn't allow me to use this tool any help out there?

Can you add a totally new functionality, which would be similar to email spam. If I get to a website I don't ever want to see in any of my searches or anything I would just click WEBSPAM button and the site is gone from my web viewing experience. It is sort of an opposite of favorites or bookmarks. Negative bookmarks could be a good concept name.
So again, the negative bookmark site would not show in any of my searches. The idea is to make this simple. A one click solution.

Hello, for a while now, before opening a pdf document, I reach a dark page where I have to click to activate the Adobe Acrobat plugin. I have Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 9.5.5 and I know that it is outdated, however, upgrading to 10 or 11 is not an option due to Acrobat 10 and 11 not being compatible with our enterprise systems. I get black screens whenever I try to view pdf in Firefox and I have to click on them to view pdf. Whether I am running in XP, Windows 7 or 8, it doesn't much matter. How do I disable the warning about acrobat and how do I get the plugin to stay activated?
Any suggestion as how to disable the warnings and vulnerability screens or to update the plugin without installing Adobe Reader? Thank you
I have to re-start my laptop every time I open Firefox. It never completed the original updated and keeps wanting to restart my computer.

2 weeks ago I suffered a power cut while browsing on my desktop (Windows7). Since then, I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox a number of times, and initially, everything works fine, but after 10 mins or so, I am always disconnected from my server (in Outlook Express as well). I have contacted my ISP, who have confirmed there is no issue at their end (and, sure enough, I can connect using my tablet and smart 'phone. I have cleared all caches, several times, and, on one occasion, managed to lose all restore points, before managing a reboot, using my 'reserve' browser, IE9-more by luck than judgement. I am currently using Google Chrome, which works fine, but I don't like it!.. What is going wrong?.. I can no longer restore to a point prior to the power strike, and cannot find a link to download an older version of Firefox, but Google Chrome is driving me nuts!..

Several sites have videos that start up whenever you visit whether you want to see them or not ...most are ads. Whenever I go to any site that does this my computer gets to a point that my mouse jumps all over the place and it slows to a point of not being able to use it, I have to go to task manager to stop it ....then it starts right back up when I change the page. It is always the plug -in container and if left to run the memory just goes higher and higher. I would like to just turn it off at this point, it makes my pc pretty much useless. It has something to do with the adobe flash player and I have updated it more than once but still no luck. The guesses look about right about os etc.

This really isn't a question for the community, but I couldn't manage to send a message to Firefox. Hopefully someone passes this on. And I don't want any comments about slowing down. That won't happen.
