I have tried resenting the browser, fixed it from "about:config" ,uninstalled all the programs i didn't know and also tried fixing it from regedit.It is still troubling me by displaying unnecessary ads and changing my default search engine.

I am trying to work with several tabs open, but they keep closing and asking me to login again. It even happens when I'm typing and drops everything I have entered to that point. I am ready to go back to Chrome.

Usually, if I want to put messages in a folder, and I want to put all of them from "Smith" I would sort by sender name,making it easier to find all from that person, check the box and move together. How do I sort by name, subject, etc. They're only sorted by date currently.

I don't want "Firefox sync" and never created a "sync" account. I use roboform to store logins and passwords. Since today I keep getting annoying pop ups from "sync" asking me if I want to "remember password" every time I want to login to soem site or account. How do I get rid of that?

After shutting down my computer at night, in the morning I find it awake and booted and displaying the user password prompt page. Why is this happening and how do i stop it. Thank you for your help.

We have a website for our work that is basically a news/information site the address looks like this "sitename/pages/home.aspx"

There is no www prefix or .com suffix for this url. I can access it just fine on a PC but on my Mac the browser automatically inserts www and .com to the "sitename" which directs me to entirely different site and a 404 not found page. Iʻm guessing this is an Intranet of my company yet I canʻt figure out how to disable it on my Mac so that I can access the correct page.

Iʻve tried disabling the prefix and suffix in config, that doesnʻt work. And unlike other browsers that have more info in their preferences I canʻt find something that disables this feature so i can simply type that address without the browser changing it.

Any thoughts/help at how to fix this? As I said my PC has no problem but I am using Internet Explorer on that PC. I use Safari and Firefox on my Mac and neither can access the same url properly.

Before mozilla changing their browser, I could click the + sign at the top of the page and a new tab would appear. Now I do that and nothing appears. I do not want several browsers on my screen, I like the multi-tab option. That way I can switch back and forth from the different screens and complete my work much easier. Someone mentioned clicking on a link and right clicking but I dont always have a link to click to do that and that option doesn't always appear when I right click. Please help. Thank you for your time and help with this issue.

I will be on a web site doesn't matter which one and if I click to go to the next page, and it can't find it yahoo comes up with some crap I hate yahoo and if I can't fix this I will delete firefox and use something else

I keep trying to go into mapquest or google maps and mapsgalaxy pops up and won't let me off unless I install and then it asks if I want to install the tool bar and as the search engine and I remove the check bar and it still installs. I cannot open some of my persoal messages with that on my computer.

In my yahoo emails while using Firefox I cannot open up older saved emails that I already read. My computer hangs up and says unresponsive. At that point I can only shut down Firefox through task manager due to pc freezing up. I tried IE and I was able to open older emails. I tried clearing cookies, cache, etc. Any ideas on how to fix?

Firefox 31 CONSTANTLY hangs in Win 8.1 . . . and as usual, FF reps on this site blame anything and everything but the culprit: FF. It is quite maddening. I would love for a software company to own up to their own problems. It would be SOO refreshing.

Running Windows 7, 64 bit. Clicked the "View in iTunes" button on this page, https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/smartscan-express-fastest/id533516060?mt=8 Link did not open and instead Firefox kept opening another window continuously until there were dozens of windows opening one on top of the other. The only way to stop this was to Shut Down the PC. This has happened on several occasions and it's always when a link to iTunes is concerned.

Making purchase on a website, once you've chosen your items and start to move to check out to register your personal information/account information (or stored personal/account information) you may be moving from an HTTP to an HTTSP page/site. Does this give users the opportunity to more easily access your private information on those sites? If so, what can be done to reduce the likelihood of this happening. Thank you.

I access one of my company's webpage regularly, which is developed using html and have some kind of dynamic editing tools(cms-edit-form) embedded so that any one can edit a section of page by using all basic features available typically in MS Office. And they have a check to verify whether the browser is supported or not when we click on 'Edit' button in the page.

Problem is - Since I upgraded firefox to 31.0, whenever I click on 'Edit' button it gives the following error - "Unsupported Browser The browser you are using does not support the required features necessary to edit the page. Please use one of the following browsers to access this software:

   Mozilla, version 1.3 or greater
   Netscape, version 7.1 or greater
   Microsoft Internet Explorer, version 5.5 or greater

Your current browser is: , version 0"

I do not have any technical information beyond this as I am not aware of the technology that was used to develop the page. But am sure - I have been editing the page for last 4 years, and always use firefox. And they have not made any changes in the page or software used.

So I come to a conclusion it is definitely with latest update. Because of this I am using IE/Chrome now to access the website. So any suggestions on this ?

Can it be fixed by making any configuration changes in my firefox browser ? Or at least if we know what has changed in the latest version of firefox, we can ask them to modify the page accordingly.

Any help is appreciated.
