When I am watching a YouTube video and switch tabs, sometimes, on return to the YouTube tab, I have no sound. It is not muted. The system sound is fine. This does not always happen. I can switch tabs and still hear the sound. Then switch back and no sound. The video is not paused. I've tried pausing and playing the video, still no sound. Refreshing the tab doesn't help Where do I go to turn the sound back on? Win11, Firefox v144.02 64 bit.

Hello together, A colleague has been experiencing a display problem in a web application when opening it in the Firefox browser. The error affects a selection window that opens within an editing window of the application. Normally, all selection options are displayed completely and clearly in this window. Currently, however, this selection window is not displayed correctly: The individual options are only partially visible, and the user has to navigate awkwardly within the window using a scroll bar to select a function. The following measures have already been taken without success: Reinstallation of the Firefox browser Complete reconfiguration of the Firefox user profile It is noticeable that the problem only occurs for this one user. Other colleagues who also use the same web application with Firefox see the selection window displayed correctly. Can you help us?

Firefox is no longer playing audio from the Internet. I am running Firefox on Windows 11, and have the latest update installed (10/29/25). What happened? How do I fix this.

I am 99.5% sure this is a Firefox issue, as I have no problem playing audio files stored in my computer, and no problem playing Internet audio using Chrome or Edge.

Hi there, I am trying to get firefox to stop allowing outlook to try and get my fingerprint or face ID as my Macbook Pro 2014 doesn't have these features. I am running macOS Big Sur (as this is the only one that still works decent). The Open Web Autentification Panel pop up says "Touch your secuity key to continue with login.microsoft.com". Since the last Firefox update, normally used web pages load very slowly or time out. When clicking on a bookmark the page loads very slow so I stop the page from loading and hit refresh and it loads almost instantly like it normally used to do. Any fixes available? Thank you, Dan.

The x appears in the tab, and when I click on it, the program disappears. I bring it back up and it repeats. Have tried closing the program, restarting the computer, using the Close Tab from the File menu, CTRL-W, yelling at it loudly, but nothing has worked. I cannot update the iOS in this computer. Firefox is up to date. Several programs I need can only run on Firefox , not Safari, so I need it. I now have so many open tabs that I can't find anything. HELP!

I use Microsoft Office 10 Outlook (version 14) for my email. In the past , if I did "file, email link" from Firefox, it would open my MS Office Outlook... As of today , "mailto" now wants to use Gmail or Outlook (web version), and I can see no options to use MS Office Outlook.

Windows updates from Oct 14 have messed up both firefox and an extension (Ironvest). Can't access mozilla account from icon on toolbar (just a revolving blue buffering circle), nor will the extension work. Have uninstalled extension, turned off/on computer, reinstalled, no luck. Discovered the mozilla account won't work after this, so resigned in a couple times, still the same issue. Even uninstalled one of the window updates (performance, not security) and still not luck. I hate windows when they update and upset all my settings.

I admit, I don't read about updates so I don't know when Firefox did all these "enhancements"...but I'd love to know how to turn my mouse wheel BACK into a "scroll through the page" only function. I hate it auto opening links, I hate it scrolling through tabs. I suspect it of doing other "helpful" functions...and I can't even find the right words to do a search for this. The only applicable setting I found is "autoscroll"...which is turned off in my preferences...and which the browser STILL does.

All I want is for my wheel to scroll through the page...under my control. No auto-stuff. There's no setting for this in my mouse controls, as far as I've been able to determine, and it didn't used to do this. It must be in a Firefox update. Is this even possible any longer? Or am I, after decades with Firefox, going to have to change browsers? At this point, I've had far too many important operations disrupted and even fouled by this "helpful" change.
