Over the last year I have uninstalled FF removed settings then reinstalled from scratch. Its been over a year now and FF never can pin point where I am at. Today it says I am 1300+ miles from where I am. I really don't want to go back to using Chrome but it appears I will have to as it normally has my exact position. I travel for 6 months of the year and have 3 internet connections shared via an internal WiFi that I use 99% of the time. They are connected via Starlink, GoogleFi (T-Mobile) and AT&T SIMs. I have a SSID with the _nomap suffix and that fixes Chrome but FF NEVER seems to know where I am, no matter how many times I clear the browsing data. I really don't want to go back to Chrome, but I cannot do my work if FF thinks I am somewhere else all the time. Geez, If only there was an addon or extension that would override FF location so I could tell it where I am. I'm in FF Hell. -Bill

firefox is missing my language (hebrew) in new the update and i can handle the browser being in english but i can't seem to be able to change the display of the app from left to right back to right to left

I have used Firefox for years and also use Kaspersky as my security along with Kaspersky's password manager. Recently, after a Firefox upgrade, while using Firefox to access websites using passwords it will not auto fill from Kaspersky. I have the extension installed. Kaspersky works on all other browsers.

When I click on Firefox, my email comes up. Now the whole screen is covered up with an ad for Microsoft 365, and there is no way to delete it. I have tried re-booting and spent an hour trying to find solutions, which either don't apply to my problem or the solutions appear so complicated I can't follow them. I am 76, and just want to be able to do the most basic use of my computer.

Get pop-up (or whatever you wish to call it) while browsing. No way of clearing it.

It does not show in Task Manager. Closed all the Google (first name) processes no change.

Went into firefox help then closed help tab and then original tab OK.

Is it possible to spell check the entire web page using both Hunspell built-in dictionaries and user-defined dictionaries *.dic, already prepared text in Firefox. As it is done in text editors like Libre Office (also uses Hunspell) but for web site, checking the text from top to bottom with errors in a separate window, so spell check is not only in the text input/search field.

Sometimes there are interesting articles an e-mail contact would like to read but my settings will not allow it to be forwarded. I also lose connection constantly.

I use a theme which some years ago (after a change in the way Firefox handles dark-mode preferences) changed all UI and websites to use dark-mode. I was able to keep using the theme, and mostly override this behavior by setting:

`layout.css.prefers-color-scheme.content-override = 1`

However, this didn't take for some components, such as the sidebar and bookmark editor window, which still continue to use dark-mode.

Is there any way to completely disable dark-mode everywhere, and still use my preferred theme?

I wish to export, and not copy, a digital certificate so that I can import it to Keychain on my Mac. The only option in Firefox Browser on Mac is to copy, which means it only opens as a TextEdit and cannot be imported.

Any recommendations?

i posted a crash question yesterday and got an email asking me to post these the time is the same i assume because i hit "submit" at the same time for all of them i'm posting blind here because there was no link in the email back to my original post - maybe something else that should be fixed

I have an older piece of equipment that I need to communicate with it and the 232 interface will only work through Firefox. I was told I can downgrade the current version to 3.0, which is what I need, but I cannot find out how. HELP

I'm finding and have for a while now that Firefox does not work correctly with mainly financial sites and I'm having to switch to Microsoft Edge to get things done. It doesn't matter what I do I don't seem able to correct this problem, turning off ad blocker and tracers makes no difference, clear my cache and basically turning everything off makes no difference. Also another annoying thing irrespective of setting your default browser some links from company emails always default to Edge which I absolutely detest.

I have not been able to sign in to my firefox account. I recently re-installed windows and tried to log in in firefox but its giving the error "The request was blocked for security reasons". How do i fix it? Help me i have important bookmarks and websites that i don't want to lose.

three weeks ago the Babbel playback gave me all shortened responses. Like I would hear "respon" instead of response. I switched over to Microsoft Edge. After first bad response all subsequent responses were normal--fully sounded.

i have been using Tor.browser as my default web browser on Macbook for months. Firefox is my 2nd, but two days ago, i was kicked out of Tor, cannot download/use it anymore and the reasons given are as follows:

"Tor.browser quit unexpectedly. Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information." Ignore Report Reopen (options)

when i have deleted and tried to re-install tor browser, I get the notification that

"Tor Browser quit unexpectedly". No matter what I do

 (I have since done both, obviously & have tried many other things, including trying to Time Travel, which I am not 100% sure how to yet).  the Report states Firefox is responsible for blocking Tor.  how did this happen and suggestions on how to fix.  I have to access Tor to find some pertinent files etc. I have stored there.  thanks

My computer died today due to water damage, which means I can't turn it back on again. I got a new computer, I've looked all over the Firefox support websites, and can't find a solution as to how to get all of my Firefox data onto this new computer. I tried the profile page, but it looks like a profile for my old computer's Firefox never even existed. I have no idea where to find any of my old data.

I had to type all of this again. Why??? It just didn't send the question after... It said error I will copy and paste this somewhere as a backup... ARGH

I use Chrome on a daily basis. But I really hate the feature that it just automatically autocompletes/search suggestions whatever I want to search. But I tried everything, I tried changing the settings, tried asking the community but I violated the TOS (I insulted Googles CEO, but I won't insult anyone here : ). Every single setting I tried. YouTube videos are out of date... Answers on the Google community and they won't help.

Until I found this little genius. And I'm glad that I'm typing this again. FireFox is a little genius. It finally doesn't autocomplete/search suggest/force you to backspace whatever I want to search. Until I came back to what I was doing on this text based MMO RPG website.

It was okay with whatever I was doing. Until I went to that text based torn.com game. But until when I attacked a player. It lagged and slowed down, until the point that my temporary weapon effect just expired. It was also very slow and I was unsatisfied by it.

I also noticed that FireFox doesn't support Timeline on Google maps. I don't want to add how I emphasized on Google and Opera with a fake WW2 quote. So if you are a part working with Mozilla, an employee of Mozilla Foundation. Yes, take this as a feedback.
