want sites and bookmarks to open in new tab

setting up new computer windows 11 and tabs don't work the same way i had in win 10, i know i can right click and open in new tab but isn't there a quicker way? thanks dave

Hey! New to mozilla support so sorry if this is a repeat ...

Problem - sometimes the browser window just closes ??

- On Windows 11 with all windows latest updates installed,

- with latest Firefox 115.01 

- all graphics updates installed - all antivirus scans are clean

(Possible it is when doing Windows shortcut keys like ctl-? but I'm not sure.)

When I restart firefox the old tabs/links (history) are not restored making me think it 'closed' and cleared history.

Is there a way to see if this this is 1) an actual browser crash or 2) a log to check for why it closed ?

Would someone please explain to me WHY? all the support teams like HP tech support, Wordpress tech support most independent support teams want me to drop Firefox and install Chrome Edge ? Both want to take over my computer and things in those browsers are much harder to navigate to want different p/w etc. I am in the process of them doing so at present and I think it sucks plus I have to change a whole lot of other things just to access what is easy on Firefox...............DUH..........

When I click my right mouse key in certain webpages on a box like next nothing happens? I can't get into things than are important. I need help. This started with the latest update.

In my search suggestions in the search bar, when I click "youtube.com" for this example, it now says "switch to tab" which automatically switches to an open youtube tab, rather than opening a new tab.

There is no way to turn this 'feature' off. It doesn't let me pick which youtube tab it switches to, just the first one regardless of how many instances of a website there are open.

Please remove this feature, or give us a way to turn it off.

Yesterday my company laptop was factory reset by IT team. Today I re-installed firefox and logged into the account. All the logins, history etc are gone now. Is there a way to restore my data?

I'm a Chinese user, and all my firefox account in other devices( windows10, IOS) was login in page https://accounts.firefox.com.cn", but using firefox in ubuntu, it was redirect to https://accounts.firefox.com. Even i login with the same e-mail, the data can not be syn, and i have known the reason was there are two different server for Chinese.

But i need a way to syn data in Ubuntu, please tell me how to deal with that. 3Q !

I want Firefox to be my default Browser... but, as much as I love it, When I'm on Facebook it doesn't let me reply to messages from friends. Apparently hundreds of users have reported the same problem. Has anyone figured this out yet?

Firefox updated my browser yesterday and when I switched on my computer this morning, my"recently closed tabs" was blanked out and now I cannot get my old Firefox back again.

Im having an issue with firefox where the tabs keep crashing i cant go a day without the tabs crashing 50-60 times or even the browser itself crashing, ive tried relaunching without addons, with troubleshoot mode on, firefox on a different drive but, it is still crashing, i looked at the error logs and if im reading it right (im not at all knowledgeable in how to debug software) it is always crashing at a point where the module is none and the signature is an address value, I put screen shots of the error reports showing the numerous crashes, before I think its a hardware issue like a bad stick of ram (which i dont think cause i ran memtest 86 test overnight with no errors), a faulty motherboard, or god forbid a faulty cpu and start firing the parts cannon at the issue i want to rule out any software angles for the problem.

Whenever I am either downloading anything or uploading anything. A window opens where you are supposed to select the file to upload or download. The firefox is crashing.

I'm getting loads of SSL errors when trying to connect to various web pages. The errors don't seem to relate to the target pages, something in the connections fails.

Two of the more recent errors were: SSL_ERROR_DECODE_ERROR_ALERT SSL_ERROR_BAD_MAC_READ

There were several more which I don't remember.

Has anyone come up with a resolution?

When I enter something in "address line" or "search", Firefox flashes several windows before stopping. If I click on a item, it does it again and does not open the particular item.

My website https://www.kdka100.org will not load all data on its front page on Firefox, but works fine on Edge and Chrome. I have looked for settings to correct but to no avail. I spoke to the hosting company and all certificates should be OK now. The front page portion being blocked has photos which use the rollover feature to display text. The rest of the site appears to be working as it should. Any help appreciated.

For the past few months, Firefox V 115, will not save bookmarks on any folder except Bookmarks Toolbar. I have gone through the Help sections and have followed the various steps to find, and change, the bookmark files. They are always marked 'read only'. I change them and try to save a bookmark. Nothing. When I restart Firefox, the files are back to 'read only' again. What am I doing wrong?

How do I solve this problem?
