So this started recently and I'm not sure if I did something to toggle this by accident or not, but recently when I've started dragging the web address into my favorites bar to add to my favorites, the favorites bar won't save the page's title, and instead will only save the web address itself. I'm not sure if I'm explaining very well, but I'm including a screen shot of what I mean; if I click on the star and add to favorites, then the web page's title will show up, but not if I just drag the address in. I find this personally frustrating, and I was wondering if I had accidentally toggled something? You can see the difference between the two in the screencaps I've posted.

Hi, Am backing up a laptop that needs to go overnight to a repair shop and want to wipe it clean for privacy. Will the passwords saved by firefox be saved in the backup as well?
I've also downloaded them to a csv file as an additional precaution, but have no idea how to reload them into 'saved passwords' after the repairs are complete, as no option is provided for that - only the option to import from another browser... Thanks for your help!
PS: also, why does mozilla require a manual login to this support forum when my login is saved in it's own password saver?? It is not auto-filling it as expected.

When I'm on a webpage and drag the URL onto the Bookmark Toolbar it's showing up as an URL instead of the page name like it used to.
For example: If I was on this page: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35895322/sources-cowboys-trade-texans-wr-brandin-cooks
Before the last update if I dragged that URL to the Bookmark Toolbar it would say: "Cowboys trade for Texans WR Brandin Cooks"
After the update it just shows the URL.
This makes it VERY hard to remember what each bookmark is.
Can anyone help me to bring this back to using the page name instead of the URL on this Toolbar?

I have physical limitations and need to use middle mouse button to scroll.
However, in Firefox, middle mouse button to scroll is interrupted whenever the mouse hovers over a hyperlink or linked object -- and, fun fact, there are A LOT of links on the Internet, so this equates to a very janky and sub-optimum experience, in my personal use-case.
How can I make it so that the middle mouse button functionality is not hijacked by mouse-over context? I've already tried/disabled middle-mouse-button-click-to-open-link-in-new-tab.

So I have this extremely annoying issue. Almost every time I open Firefox on my system, all of my add-ons get disabled. There is no pattern to when it will happen either. Sometimes I can open it 2 or three time without a problem, other times its every single time, and to top it off all of my saved logins randomly disappear too, as well as some of the settings (namely search bar settings). A simple closing and reopening of Firefox restores the login info, but not the settings. I’ve tried making a new profile, didn’t work. Tired uninstalling Firefox and starting clean, still didn’t work. I’ve checked all my settings, and tried deleting the extensions data in the Mozilla folder. Nothing seams to work, and I don’t have a clue why this keeps happening. I’ve been using Firefox since it was still in beta, and have never had this kind of problem before. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Now Firefox tells me "You've launched an older version of firefox" and forces me to create a new profile :( Also loading the old profile in "about:profiles" leads to the same result

What's nice about it is that it's a combo toolbar button tab counter with a badge, as well as a tab session drop down menu with a search field (pretty much like the built-in "List all tabs").
My issue is that the menu is slow loading, and I was hoping I could find a replacement that can be customized to make the menu entries more compact (remove the spaces between tabs) and display in a proper order

Also, I only use Private browsing, which is set to remove all history, caches, etc. whenever I close Firefox. I have been logging in to tradestation 4 or 5 days a week for months, until today. Firefox always brings up the saved password for a particular website, but the password is old and wrong. Going to the Logins and Passwords management page, I enter a search for the website as it appears in the address bar, but there is no associated login in Firefox. There is no password associated with any part of the website's name or URL in 'about:logins' . Yet still some password shows up with a saved login. How do I find the password for this website and correct the password?
