I have Firefox 11. Many times I have been asked to update to 11.4 and I did this but every time I am left with a Firefox window on desktop indicating 2 items, zero KB available and dmg folder. I dragged Icon to Application Folder and from App Folder to Icons bar on desktop. Whenever I open my laptop next time and open Firefox these two items appear on desktop and a bit later on I get another drop down window asking me to update to 11.4 as soon as possible.

I use Firefox constantly. I'm now on version 11 but not much has changed. I've been forced to disable most every plugin and extension trying to troubleshoot my issues and I still have the same problems. No matter what site(s) I'm on after 2 or 3 clicks I get the running circle and the browser freezes. If I click again, I get the "Not Responding" message in the top bar. Most of the time it recovers within 30 seconds to 2 minutes and I can continue. Very often the whole thing freezes with no message but before long I get : Script: resource://gre/modules/XPCOMUtils.jsm:331 or Script: resource:///components/nsPrompter.js:466 and neither seems to be attached to any plugin or extension. No matter which version I've used and no matter what site I'm on this happens. I've decreased my allowed scripts to run time to "20" and disabled everything including hardware acceleration. ALSO, about 50% of the time when I'm editing my own site, all of a sudden it becomes VERY sluggish and takes too much time to do anything. When this happens I've switched right over to IE9 and have none of these issues. I also have an error log as long as your arm. Troubleshooting information is below. Please help!

Trying to play Fish World on FB and full page won't load, bottom gets cut off so I can't see other game options. This only happens with Firefox on my laptop. I called Dell for help, but they said it was a Firefox issue, some type of bug, so I am contacting you for help. Dell would charge me $135 and I'm betting they still couldn't fix it.

I was running version 9.x and had this problem, so I have just updated to Firefox 11 but this is not helping.

The issue is that the URL bar will not let me type a new address in some cases - prefering instead to refer me to a previously visited address. Perhaps it would be better if I gave an example:

I am trying to go to a site I haven't visited before, e.g. holden.com.au

I type 'h', and the URL bar suggests that I go to my Hotmail login page (the URL for this starts with 's'), and autofills the rest of the far (so now I am in the situation where I have an address in the bar starting with 's'). This means I can't continue entering the intended address.

Can this be fixed, or is it just an issue for me?

I just uploaded the new beta version of Firefox that arrived today and stupidly replaced the old version with the beta in my applications folder. When I tried to open the new version I received an error message that the new version is not supported by my computer's architecture. I should have known better, as my computer is still operating with Mac OS 10.4.11, as it is a G5 Power PC G5. I have no idea which version of Firefox I was previously using and how to find it again on the Firefox website. Can anyone help -- please???

Thanks very much!

Javascript execution bug in setTimeout loop when trying to fade.style.opacity += 0.1. It works with negative operator -= but not with a positive operator +=. Browser (Firefox 11) just keeps telling me that the opacity is 0.1 all the time.

Here is my code:

function setOpacity() {
	i++;
	if (dir == 1)
	{
		fade.style.opacity -= 0.1;
		if (fade.style.opacity < 0.1)
		{	dir = 0;	}
	}
	else
	{
		fade.style.opacity = fade.style.opacity + 0.1;
		if (fade.style.opacity > 0.9)
		{	dir = 1;	}
	}
	document.getElementById('opacity').innerHTML = "Opacity: " + fade.style.opacity;
	document.getElementById('dirr').innerHTML = "dir = " + dir;
	document.getElementById('i').innerHTML = "i = " + i;
	t = setTimeout("setOpacity()",100);
}

So if I change the += operator to -=, the opacity keeps changing. I'm pretty sure that the problem must be in Firefox because with IE everything kept going even with the += operator.

I finally upgraded to FF10 and then FF11 from FF3.6. I no longer see the familiar padlock icon in the lower right, or anywhere else, on a SSL (https) page. Has this feature been deleted? A search revealed that it was removed in FF4, but I thought I saw in in FF10. I'm not ordering online until I get this straightened out.

Thanks.
