I think I got phished.

Mac OS 13.0.1 A couple weeks ago I received an email from Disney+ that contained a verification code to access my account. But I wasn't trying to access my account so I clicked on the link that said 'what to do if you didn't request this.' However that link took me to the Disney+ general help page. I searched their help section but couldn't find anything relevant. So I assumed everything was ok and went back to work.

Later I noticed that all of our Disney+ profiles had been removed and replaced by new ones. I immediately changed the password to my Disney+ account and to my email account. I deleted the profiles created by the hacker and created new ones. I logged out all devices from Disney+. Thought I was good at this point.

Days later I noticed that someone had created another new Disney+ profile which suggests that someone still has access to my account. How could that be? I've tried communicating with Disney+ support staff. This was not helpful. They just say to change the password again. But that didn't solve the problem.

I was about to try contacting Disney+ support again so I went to fill out the information to start the chat session. I noticed 1 bogus email saved in the autofill of the email address field. This would seem to imply that someone has access to my computer and has been chatting directly with Disney+. I downloaded Virus Barrier virus scan but it didn't find anything. Then I went back to the Disney+ chat screen and there were already 2 more bogus emails saved in the autofill. So... is someone using even more email addresses to communicate with Disney+ in the 15 minutes since I detected this?

I went back to the Disney+ email I received and realized that the link I clicked on was suspicious. So I'm suspecting that it did something, then redirected to Disney+ support so I wouldn't suspect anything. Now I'm concerned that someone may have gained access to my computer. But I have no idea how to determine that. I've been on with Apple support for over an hour and they keep insisting that its not possible. And b/c the problem appeared in Firefox that they can't help me.

Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks

Something EXTREMELY STRANGE is going on. I'm not even going to pretend i understand why, but i know what weird stuff fixes it.

Youtube causes a ton of slowdown and memory/cpu usage on my laptop. Im not sure if its because of google making youtube run worse on other browsers or its because my laptop is an old macbook air. probably both.

Heres the extremely strange part, When i put the video into picture in picture and switch to another tab, the lag just stops and it runs perfectly smooth and causes no tempurature increase, fans spinning up, or anything else indicating heavy memory consumption.

It isnt even youtube scaling it down because its in a lower size in the picture in picture thing either. I can double click on the picture in picture thing in another tab that isnt youtube and it runs just as fine in perfect quality.

First image at 62% is youtube when in the youtube tab the second image is youtube when in picture in picture while not in the youtube tab

Please tell me how to keep the Firefox theme I choose (color and tabs). I'm using a new PC with Windows 11 and did not have this problem on my older computer. Nothing else is a problem -- all extensions are kept, my bookmarks and toolbars are correct, etc. But every time I close the browser, the theme resets to the Windows 11 preset.

Firefox (v. 108.0.1) always opens a new window when my Windows 11 laptop wakes up from sleep. This whether or not Firefox was running when the laptop went to sleep. If Firefox was running, it opens a new window, with the old window still present with any content displayed. Since I have Firefox Home setting set to "Blank Page", the new window is on a blank page.

I have tested this with the "Open previous tabs and windows" setting both on and off.

The new window is always on the screen when the laptop wakes up, even if the old window was minimized when going to sleep (and the old window remains minimized when waking up).

There is no Windows Startup item that calls for Firefox to open on startup.

I recently got this Win 11 laptop. As far as I can tell, I am using the same Firefox settings as I did on my old Win 10 laptop, which did not have this sleep issue.

No other program/application behaves this way when my laptop wakes up.

When Firefox is in fullscreen, whenever I click on any toolbar item, bookmark folder or extension, the dialogue box only stays open for a couple of seconds before closing.

A similar behaviour happens when I right click (anywhere): the right-click dialogue box opens but only shows me options related to my extensions (for instance, ublock's "block element...") for a few seconds before disabling this section of the box.

The dialogue box from the item I clicked on only stays open for a bit before abruptly closing without me asking it to do so. Basically, it acts as if I click somewhere else to close the dialogue box, although I don't. The amount of time the box stays open isn't fixed, but rarely goes beyond 2 seconds.

The bug only happens when Firefox is in fullscreen. When it's in a reduced window, the box stays open as long as I do not click elsewhere.

Here is a video recording in which I try to show the bug. On the first half of the vid, I only click once on the items, and the dialogue boxes disappear by themselves. Second half of the vid, FF is in a reduced window, and the bug disappears: the dialogue boxes stay open until I clic

This only happens on Firefox. Even Librewolf and Tor, installed on the same computer, don't have the same behaviour.

When I first open Firefox flashes open closes really fast then will open on 2nd try. This only happens on first time after start up from total shut down. It will not repeat if windows has not been turned off. No crash reports are found from about:crashes, and windows cannot find "%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted" when I entered it. I just built this this PC after black Friday with good parts, my last build is 14 years old and still runs. This just started a few days ago. Thanks for any help you might me. Philip

After the most recent upgrade for Firefox 108.0.1 on my Linux Mint 20.3, the icons along the top of the Yahoo! Mail pages for individual mail messages have stopped working. This prevents me from doing anything to a message - no reply, forward, move, archive, delete, or close. The only way to leave an individual message is to use the left menu and return to the Inbox. Additionally, within the Inbox the ability to select multiple messages, change the status of a message, etc have stopped working. The only thing that can be done from the Inbox is to select a message for display.

I tried turning of the DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials and Norton Safe Web extensions, but there was no change in behavior.

This problem is specific to my Linux Mint 20.3 laptop as Firefox 108.0.1 is working correctly on my Linux Mint 21 desktop.

I have an external USB SSD drive that I use only to manually copy occasional data files for backup. No program files are on that drive. When I want to disconnect the USB drive with ONLY Firefox running, Windows tells me a program is using the drive. When I close Firefox I can disconnect the drive normally. There are no Firefox related files on the drive - not even manual backups.

Why is Firefox using my USB drive? How do I stop such access?

Thanks, David
