When you download an excel file and you receive a pop-up window with the options to open with and select excel the is a check box below that says Do this automatically for files like this from now on. Even when this box is checked I still receive a pop-up window every time I download an excel file.

Is it possible? Scenario:

Open a tab on mobile phone. View tab on PC. Close tab on PC.

I don't want this tab open anywhere anymore. Is there a way to close the phone tab from my PC? Not being able to do so makes this feature cumbersome and of limited use.

Twice in a year, maybe in 2, Firefox updates have completely hosed my bookmarks. I don't always remember to save them when updates come through. This browser updates more than any other one I use. I'm an elder who has to juggle tons of internet details. I can't tell what folder they came from, but there are at least 150 bookmarks skewing the view of my folders.

I tried to delete all of them, and if I reopen it, all the ones I deleted are back in the way. Why won't they go away? What is getting confused here? One thing is that I'm afraid Firefox won't reopen all the tabs & windows I have open, so I kill it using my Task Manager, instead of just closing Firefox windows. Why? Because it has lost one of my windows before, with multiple tabs open and I couldn't find any of them.

Yes, I'm the one who maintains 3 separate Firefox windows with multiple tabs open. Please do not tell me not to do that, when I've been doing this for years & years. This thing's limitations shouldn't become mine. Everybody uses products differently; doesn't mean you get to judge when I'm not using it the way you do.

I hate that this happens, because I'm not expecting Firefox to make a mess and don't know where they're pulling all these bookmarks from. Nothing is missing from my folders. It's like they're duplicated and show up when I click 'Bookmarks'. They keep reappearing under the 'Bookmarks Menu' with Manage Bookmarks, but obviously not coming from there or they wouldn't reappear when I delete them.

Any ideas what's going on?

Again, don't tell me how to use my computer. I've been doing this since PC's were invented. If you know what's happening, great. If not, mind your manners & don't let your ego take pot-shots. Thank you.

Hi I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem. I've set it so that FF asks me if I want to close all tabs when I close a window or exit. This is to restore pages when I restart next. What I've noticed is, this number of tabs in the question only keeps increasing -for example, if I have 50 tabs open, close 10 of them during a browsing session and open 20 more, when I go to exit, it'll ask me if I want to close 80 tabs. And when I start up FF next time, that number 80 just keeps increasing when I open/close tabs. It doesn't seem to be refreshing the 'tab memory'. There needs to be a button perhaps that purges that tab cache and takes a fresh 'reading' of all current tabs open and updating the total number.

I used to be able to save the current page as web page, HTML only and then open that page in Firefox. Now I can't. If I choose 'text' as file type, that is also unreadable. A possible hint: the file saved as HTML only has a Microsoft Edge icon.

My Red Vector / Convergence LMS that I use has recently become very slow when searching or saving within the system. Does Mozilla need to make changes for this Site ? If not then I will have to go to Chrome. It works fine in Chrome. Please respond back. Thanks

as an admin I administer O365 web-sites/consoles in Firefox. I have two accounts in Firefox: my normal account, and my admin account which has far greater rights. The problem I am having is since I have enabled the option "Allow Windows single sign-on for Microsoft, work, and school accounts" (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/windows-sso?as=u&utm_source=inproduct), I always have to confirm two times that I want my admin account to login to for example: https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/#/ Is there a way to tell FF that I want only the admin account to logon to the specified link so I don't have to select the account every time?

I have no problem with Firefox automatic updating, but I have a problem with the irritating popup coming every time after every update. Why do you nag your users like this? And why is there no "don't show this anymore" checkbox? Why is there no close button and you need to click trough the 5 steps every time??? Is there any way to disable this irritating popup in about:config ?

I installed my first Firefox years ago to get rid of popups and now Mozilla is slipping them in our face. Not nice.

The Browser is gone completly basicly. I opened a "few" Tabs and then it suddenly crashed with my PC. Now My PC is getting old so Crashes aren't new but after the Restart of the PC Firefox just didn't work, it would Open but that's where it ends i can't access anything it doesn't react to any inputs, it's black screen can't even see my bookmarks it doesn't open last opende sites or anything altough i can Input somehting in the Hot bar but it won't react to it and just try to google it but that won't work as well. I installed a second version of Firefox now but for example my passwords.. not all of those were saved somewhere else. So if someone knows a fix for that or to just get them another way through files along side my bookmarks that would be very helpfull. thankss

i have account on hibid nc and you login with a email address and a password but on firefox even though the password is correct it says the password is incorrect but on chrome and edge it lets me login with the password and email. firefox will absolutely not let me login even though everything is the same. plus firefox will not let login into my bank account but chrome and edge will.

hi. i have no sound in mozilla. this started yesterday. tabs are not muted. sound on laptop is up. and i get sound in microsoft edge. if i use youtube no sound. if i copy url to edge perfect sound.

its not just yt. mozilla wont give any sound. video plays fine. yt is not muted. i have checked evrerything.

i am contactable at [email removed from public] on the left hand side of url there is a button with 2 small horizontal lines with a clear small circle on end of each line. in this it has options of permissions to block audio and video. i have both allowed. i have a couple of addons installed extensions i mean. abp its an ad blocker. i wonder about this. but this has been installed for a long time.

Because of your last two updates, I can no longer log into my bank account using Firefox. With version 107.0 I lost the ability to log into www.USBANK.COM and get the account screen, I just get a blank tabbed page, but the USBANK.COM system would still send a text to my phone with the security code required to log in.

With version 107.0.1 released today I no longer receive the text with the security code. Not that it matters because I can't get in any way..... it just gives me a blank screen tab. I now have to use the Microsoft browser to log in and do my banking.

Hi, so i accidentally did a shortcut with a prompt on a screen that selects specific elements, and pressed create, and it deleted twitter profile pics even if i refreshed the page.

L.S., by installing the latest download all my passwords are gone. I ask you urgently to let me now how to undo the latest installation (I believe it was yesterday) . I'm really very disappointed. I do not know all the passwords by heart. Please help me ASAP.
