Hello, I have been using Firefox for years and up until yesterday, everything was fine. Unfortunately, Firefox performed some kind of update (I now have a new-looking browser) and I have lost all of my browsing data. History, logins, and passwords are all gone. As I trust Firefox I didn't back-up anything so now I need you to reset everything how it was before this issue. Thank you

so i looked it up and apparently this has happened before. at random times on different websites all of a sudden the copy, paste, cut, and undo functions disappear. the control key commands and right clicking do not work. the solutions offered in those threads did not fix the problem.

i cannot post a screenshot becasue it just started working again. and no it is not a website that blocks it. also not just one website this happened on so... yeah.

firefox has been disappointing me recently. i will be sad if i have to switch to another browser after all these years.

Rise 360 files are not loading after they have been fully accessed/completed in a pop-up window. Pop-ups are allowed. Settings are fine. Some files will load after being completed, some will not. They open initially, but after completion, most do not. Functionality is working fine in Chrome.

OK, I am very angry ....

FF asks me to update, when i launch the browser, and it continues doing so when browsing. I HATE THIS BEHAVIOUR and I know how to use a computer.

     I do not need to be mollycoddled by some 2bit computer company that has no idea what Professional computer users need. 
         Bare in mind I am in the mood to migrate away from FF completely without a tick button answer. 
         I am also in the mood to take drastic action if this is not resolved. IT SHOULD BE IN THE SOFTWARE IF I SELECT IT.

I want to use FF without an automatic update, which the software DOES NOT ALLOW (removed threat as per [rules and guidelines here).

I am running FF 107.01 (i don't care if its out of date).

Previous .json answer did not work. neither did going into settings.

only a complete ban on updates will suffice. (i will update myself as i feel like it.) I will not tolerate another answer.

FIX IT NOW!!!!

As I use a few self-made unsigned add-ons, for several years now I have been using the Firefox unbranded builds on Linux with great joy. In the past these became available for download shortly after a regular Firefox was released. Lately though things have changed. The current latest release for unbranded is stalling at version 107. So it's getting further and further away from the official Firefox, which is at 109 at the time of writing.

Obviously I'm concerned my unbranded Firefox is not getting the same security updates any longer. I do realize there's alternatives for supporting unsigned add-ons. Running a Firefox nightly or developer-edition is something I'd want to avoid, so for me these aren't real alternatives. I've also tried tracking unbranded info on bugzilla.mozilla.org, but couldn't find anything relating to this 'lag'.

Where can I find more info on this topic? Are these unbranded builds being discontinuated?

in FF 107 the Buttons "Clear Data", "Manage Data" and "Manage Exceptions" in "Settings" -> "Privacy and Security" -> "Cookies and Site Data" are gone. How get them back?

I can open any page of my favorites or any other page EXCEPT FACEBOOK. The page seems to load but only shows the facebook logo at the top left and 3 or 4 gray circles on the right. Facebook opens using other search engines. Any help would be appreciated.

Firefox disabled my MetaMask extension. I enabled it again but there is no icon for it. The bookmarks toolbar was- Only in new window, I changed it to- Always show. I have Windows 10. How can I open MetaMask? I have attached a screenshot of my extensions window.

I am about to drop Firefox for another browser. I have added Total AdBlocker yet popups still creep through. Now with MSN.com my home page, some of the Video Boxes are blank but if I go to Chrome they show complete.

for example: navigation to firefox.com works instantly

hangs the browser.

new tabs wont work correctly. I have to close the browser and start over. It will always hang again.

This is a new windows 10 and browser installation (about 10 days old). I had to replace my boot drive due to hw failure.

it is taking over 30 seconds, sometimes several minutes to load firefox, especially first thing in the day. Rebooting computer only makes it worse. Any thought's on how to speed up responsiveness?

Example problems when handling PDFs, despite having "ask me what to do" or whatever set in preferences:

"Open in browser" results in a copy being saved to downloads folder, with random string filename.

"Open in [locally installed pdf viewer]" results in a copy being saved to downloads folder, with random string filename.

Quickbooks can't show receipt or document previews in the little pane. It insists on downloading it.

Gmail, Proton, and probably other email services can't render previews; same behaviour as qb.

How to fix, please? I don't even know how to properly articulate this problem, but it means half my browsing can't be done in firefox. Very frustrating.

Trying to stream the 2022 World cup soccer from SBS but I can't get past the Ad blocker and/or the whitelist for SBS.The google search results have not provided any solutions. eg Preferences are not where google suggest . Do you have a chatline? I've just about given up on firefox. Thanks for listening Rosco

I tried to bookmark a page but I was not successful in Firefox (am also using Chrome and I was able to do it there). I tried using Ctrl + D and using a mouse by clicking the star, both were unsuccessful. There was no error message.

 I've just spent an annoyingly long time trying to do something that turned out to be really easy, it was just finding out what to do that made it seem hard.
 The issue of where search results open is completely ignored in the help pages, judging from the number of questions in Support on the issue, that appears to be something of an oversight. As does not displaying the date questions were posted, reading about what applies in an old verion of Ff may not do so in the current one, it didn't in my case.
 I wanted to know how to make the search results from Google on the search bar, open in a new tab, as opposed to the same tab, the current default setting. All it takes is changing the value of: browser.link.open_newwindow, from false to true in about:config.
 Simple to do, finding out that's what you have to do, isn't. 
 I thought I'd suggest that you might consider addressing this matter, I'm sure it would be welcomed by at least some users.
 Anyway, thank you for a great browser.

I use foundryvtt through a Firefox port. for awhile now, i get a timeout error on some, but not all, songs in all Playlists from songs in the same File Folders.

on the screen, the timestamp reads 00:00 and hangs. It appeared to be the same songs, so i created another Playlist with different music on my PC and problem persists. I do not get this problem when i play music through the Foundryvtt app.

any help would be much appreciated.

Endelig er det lykkedes mig at undgå, at Edge konstant installerede sig selv. Det har jeg kæmpet med.

Nu vil jeg gerne spørge om Firefox kan hjælpe mig med at undgå den "reklame" for Edge, der vises de fleste gange, når jeg trykker på "Søg" nede i venstre hjørne.

Den irriterer mig, fordi: 1. Jeg aldrig nogensinde skal have Edge 2. Den tager pladsen for vigtigere ting 3. Krydset til at lukke med forsvinder, når jeg bevæger cursoren derop ad.

Kan I mon hjælpe?
