If you use extensions, always make sure such extensions do not block content.

I have cancelled all my extentions, and cleared the cache then, did a firefox restart. This has not fixed the problem. How can I work without an adblocker? I can print the emails in Chrome but not Firefox. How can I fix this issue?

When I reply to emails, either reply, or reply all, I prefer to see all the email addresses from the email header that the original email was sent to. This is the default on most email systems I've used. I think it was the default on Firefox until recently.

Now, when I do a reply, or reply all, the message now starts with the original email, without the email headers. I understand some people may prefer that, but I definitely don't like it. It can be useful to see who the original email had been sent to, especially if there are errors in that list of people, or the people included are fewer or more than the previous email.

Note, if I forward the email, the email does contain the email addresses from the original email header.

This behaviour caused me some real grief when I realised some people had made a mistake when sending me an email recently.

Is there a setting to adjust this?

Regards

All my menu texts are so TINY now, that I can't read them, but the browser page is SO WIDE that I can't ever see a whole page and I have to scroll from side to side to read things, which is a ROYAL PAIN as I miss seeing a lot of things. No one can seem to help. I tried the limited percentage things, 67% used to work but now that is too big and when I go smaller I can't read ANY of the text, it is TOO TINY! I can't do my work! The screen shot won't paste on here.

When I download a file .epub (error rate 1%) or .mobi (error rate 3%) or .zip (error rate 0.2%) to my ebooks folder I randomly end up with "filename.ext" of size 0 and one "filename(1).ext" of the correct size and correct content. That error rate is independent of file size but dependent of the file extension.

The download never fails and no file have any defects.

Configuration:

  • Firefox 64bit 104.0 to 106.0.5 on Windows 10 Pro 22H2
  • In Settings: Always ask you where to save files is checked
  • Target folder (confirmed on each download) is a subfolder of Documents
  • Only antivirus is Microsoft Defender.
  • The user account is a Local account there is no one drive or other cloud storage solution active.

After 3 months of tests, I managed to solve the problem with: about:config and set browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone to false. I tough that option was gone in 2015, but apparently it is back.

That is however not a good solution.

Test I did:

  • Adding the download folder as an AV exclusion: no changes.
  • Disabling extensions: no changes.
  • Disabling indexing on the target folder: no changes.
  • Changed targeted folder: no changes.
  • Disabling the file history backup: no changes.

I suspected either a program is monitoring Documents folders for changes and opening the downloaded file concurrently with Firefox. Since disabling Firefox av interface probably seriously modify the timing of directory change notification and Firefox file manipulation, I'm still not sure who is to blame for the problem. If you have any idea on how to debug that, let me know.

Firefox crashes with the same issue as before (https://support.mozilla.org/hu/questions/1395270), but with two minor differences. I'm now using the latest version of ExplorerPatcher and Firefox works fine in safe mode. I tried disabling all the add-ons, themes and extensions in while in safe mode and then launch Firefox, but it didn't work. The developer made the issues and discussion sections read only on the project's GitHub page, so I'm unable to contact them. Here are the logs about the most recent crashes:

On or about Nov 3rd, after restarting Firefox (106.0.5 (64-bit)), I cannot get the "Bubblez" game to load. I am a long time Firefox user, but consider myself a Novice in technical terms.

The game is at https://wellgames.com/free_online/bubblez/

Thinking the game server might be down, I tried the Microsoft Edge browser, and the game plays as usual. I have not(to my knowledge) changed any settings or preferences inside Firefox, not added any new addons. I restarted Firefox in SafeMode, and the game still fails to load. It is stuck on the green circle as indicated in the attached screenshot.

Any help will be appreciated.

I need to create a new profile because I am having problems, the old one appears to be corrupt. I need to keep all my extensions, settings, history, tabs, bookmarks, etc.

So from the profile that has all the settings, I tell Firefox Sync to sync. It says it's syncing.

Then I quit Firefox, open with the profile manager, create a new blank profile, and sign into Firefox Sync using the same Firefox Account.

Within a few minutes, sync completes, and my new browser profile is exactly like an old copy of firefox that I deleted maybe 5 years ago. All my old extensions, tabs, everything.

I need to sync my CURRENT Firefox so I can restore a clean profile to it. Not restore a setup from a copy I deleted years ago.

I've tried this process about 4 times now and the result is always the same. Firefox sync does NOT see my current tabs, extensions, bookmarks, settings, anything. It keeps the ones from years ago no matter what.

I don't want to delete my firefox account and start a new one because it will cause me to lose access to all my forum comments.

A few days ago, I believe, after an update, Firefox changed all my bookmark URLs to Facebook and Messenger. When, I re-enter the bookmark and have the correct URL, the next time I use Firefox, the URL has changed back to the wrong URL.

I have lost years of military and MIA military personnel historic research sites, along with many others. Is there anyway, they can be found and correctly restored?
