Hello, I am eyesight impaired. I am having trouble when trying to use the search bar on the home screen. When the search is typed in the home screen it automatically swaps to the ADDRESS BAR SEARCH. The text is so small I cannot see it very well as a result my typos are abundant, very frustrating. Using the home search bar rather than the address bar I can control the size of the text and use it with no problems. At some point this home search bar function changed, I have tried to use the address bar in place of the home search bar but as I said, it is too small to see. It also makes it almost impossible if you want to search a valid link instead of going to the link because the address bar interprets it as a link and just goes to it, also frustrating. I see a lot of talk about this issue but I don't see any final correction. Is there some way someone could put an effort into this issue for us diminished septuagenarian programmers from the days of old? Thanks in advance, Jim

I've lost the ability to use site-based hotkey shortcuts. For example, if I pull up Google Docs, if I type a statement and try to bolden the text with Ctrl + B, I get the Bookmark sidebar instead. Ctrl + I for italics? Instead I get page info. Ctrl + U to underline? Instead I get a wall of coding. This issue is a consistent thing on all websites, for a variety of hotkey commands.

I can't find where I can change, or turn off hotkeys in general, the last three hours of scouring the internet, including the FF forums, have been no help. I can't tell if this is a setting I can't find, I change with an update, but whatever it is, it needs to be reverted. I'd very much prefer not to switch browsers over an issue that should be a changeable setting.

After last update V104.0.2 fire fox will not allow me to access router to change settings message given, unable to connect, can I revert to previous version of firefox as always worked before update

I changed the screen shortcut icon for https://mappingsupport.com.

Then in the profiles folder, I renamed the file favicon.sqlite, closed Firefox and restarted my PC. But when I saved the mappingsupport shortcut to my screen, I still see the old shortcut image.

I also tried going to Privacy and Security where I deleted 'Cached web content'.

How do I tell Firefox to get rid of that old shortcut image and use the new shortcut image instead?

Chrome on my PC saved the new shortcut icon to my screen. My iPad also saved the new shortcut icon to the screen.

checking box within a Tab on yahoo mail will immediately open that entry and then freeze further operation until the screen is shut down. This happens on my wife's HP lap top i5 Pavilion 4.00 ram. ie: inbox tab will show a number of email - a dozen or so - followed by grey empty areas. The tab indicates 100+ total in inbox. Selecting one box opens the email but locks up any activity on that email & must be shut down to exit. The identical situation happens when I access my email on her machine. She is using Firefox 105.0.1 HOWEVER, on my machine, HP desktop AMD A8 8.00 Ram, both email addresses do not lock up, multiple boxes can be checked and work as expected. My desk top uses Firefox 104.4 This began happening within the past couple of weeks and I can not debug the situation. Any pointers ??

This morning, I found out a selection of my discord server's icons had vanished and emoticons were not loading. I thought it was a discord bug but it's the same for youtube thumbnails. So far they are the only affected websites.

I have tried to no avail:

• Updating extensions
• Updating Firefox
• Clearing site cookies and cache
• Disabling hardware acceleration
• Troubleshoot mode
• Disabling my ad blocker
• Using Web Tools to locate blocked content

Getting a bit desperate, haha! xD It's not my internet connection, my phone works fine.

Some notes: On youtube, only thumbnails seem to be affected and not all of them - about 2/3, seemingly random. On discord, server icons that are animated show up when moused over (animation) but not when static. When I noticed the issue it was only in a few servers. After doing the described troubleshooting all images are gone. Media sent in chat displays as normal.

I am unable to delete my emails on Yahoo through Firefox. The trashcan icons on the left side next to the trash tab are missing. The entire upper toolbar doesn't work (the click all box, the delete icon, etc.). I cannot even delete the emails themselves from inside the email.

 This started about 5 days ago.  The deletion of emails work just fine through chrome.

I am unable to sign in with google on Firefox. I have disabled all my add-ons. Have popups turned on and still I cannot click on the lock in Google link on. I have also noticed that I am unable to sign in using Facebook on another website. Ity appears as if I am not getting pop-ups but I don't have popups turned off. I have restarted Firefox and still no joy.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

When I try to log in to any Google "Ecosystem" (i.e Gmail, Youtube etc.) I see it (check screenshot below). I'll use Firefox Developer Edition. In vanilla Firefox and other browsers, everything works as usual.

Latest firefox update 104 x64 crashed every time bluestack piex64 (android emulator) launches. Afterwards running firefox again will keep running with no problems issues. Its only on launch of bluestacks that the issue happen and have replicated in different machines. I presume latest update uses some kind of internal android adb instance running? and it conflicts with the one that bluestacks emulates?

My FireFox media player was working fine this morning. Now it will not play the mp3 files I need to play for my work. Also, there's no sound on YouTube when I use FireFox. I have system sounds on my computer, and I have sounds on Google Chrome, but there are no sounds on FireFox. The media player will open with the mp3 files, but it does not move or play at all. I disabled my antivirus and it still won't work. So that is now fully back on. I uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted my computer, I have done so many things over the last 4 hours and nothing is working. There was a Windows update today that happened shortly before this problem occurred.

Hello All, I recently had to start up my brand new MacBook Pro up in "Safe Mode" to verify an unrelated problem. When I restarted my computer from safe mode, my Bookmarks were either gone completely or "empty" and I was apparently in a newer version of Firefox. I then trashed my Firefox application and tried to restore an older version via Time Machine and after I copy it to my Applications folder I get the message that I am trying to open an older version of firefox and then doesn't allow me to do that. When I followed the option to their extents, only the new version with NO bookmarks shows up.

How can I get my old bookmarks back?

I am not able to download any kind of file, from any kind of website to my disk. I am able to select open on the download dialog, and this will open the file and save it to the temp directory firefox uses for this function, but this does not save the files to disk/the download folder like I want to. I am unable to "Save image as..." as well, since this is considered a download. There is no record of these downloads even being attempted in the download history.

Hello Is it possible to use the stylus add-on to remove the stories from Facebook? I am not a programmer by any mean but i like to "play" with the inspector and i found out that by deleting a node the stories disappear. So I was wondering if i can use stylus to delete this node for me! Thank you!

Firefox update required me to restart Firefox. I was unable to save a bunch of work I had done in a particular tab because Firefox seems to have refused to connect to the site I was working at until I update. THAT SUCKS!

Trying to open any link from a pdf opens a page with the url resource://pdf.js/web/ instead of opening the link. The attached image shows what the page that opens looks like. This does not happen on Edge, so it is a Firefox issue.

I have updated to the newest Firefox version and the issue remained the same. I tried clicking on "viewer.html" and it brought me to an empty pdf page that just loads forever and cannot be downloaded.

Please help. I do not want to use Edge or go back to Chrome, but I will if this can't be resolved.

My new Windows 11 laptop forces me to use the "Mail" app to forward links by email using the "email a link to this page" utility feature in the Firefox toolbar Prior to this, my old laptop would just use Outlook which was quicker/better.

The multi-step method using Mail was cumbersome so in trying to designate Outlook as the sending vehicle over Mail, I designated a non-performing solution which is now preventing me from emailing links (and captured webpage info) at all. I would like to migrate back to Mail or find the correct choice for Outlook but the "email a link to this page" in the Firefox toolbar does not work now as a result of my poor choice.

Anyone know how to fix this? I have "restored factory defaults" and other on the toolbar features but does not help. This was apparently an unrevocable choice.

Hello, I've upgraded my Ubuntu distribution from Ubuntu 20.04 to 22.04 yesterday. This forced me to update my Firefox version, I am now running the 104.0.2. I now have the following issue: on some websites, the page loads normally but as soon as it's loaded, the page becomes entirely blank. This doesn't seem to be a website issue, as it actually appears normal for a very short instant before it disappears. A website for which this happens is: https://www.lalibre.be/ (I only encountered the issue on another website but it's from the same editor). I tried in a private window and it works normally! I tried in the normal window after deactivating all the addons, it still doesn't work. I tried with or without the Firefox account logged in, it doesn't work. Until now, it's only these 2 websites from the same editor, but as I said, they worked fine yesterday, they work fine on other browsers and they work fine in Firefox private mode. Any idea where this might come from?

All of a sudden, after waking my computer from sleep, I found that many websites in Firefox are displaying the main text content at 13px, ignoring font sizes specified in CSS etc. I first discovered this on my organization's website, I thought it was a browser cache issue, but it has persisted. The text content on our front page is all the correct size, but everything on the website that is "main content" text that is not in a heading tag, like blog post or regular page content, is rendered at 13px. Other sites like Wikipedia load this way as well. In private mode, the issue disappears. In Chrome, the issue does not occur.

I have cleared all cookies, browser cache, site data, history, and the problem persists. I have checked the default font settings in Firefox, the checkbox saying websites should override the font settings is already checked. Zoom is set to 100%. I updated to the latest version in the course of restarting, and it didn't fix the issue either.

In the attached screenshot, the examples on the left are in regular Firefox windows. On the top right, a page on our site is displayed correctly in Firefox private mode. In the bottom right, Wikipedia is displayed correctly in Google Chrome.
