When I have Firefox open, even if I'm using another program, when I press AltGr + F Firefox opens. This prevents me from using open square brackets. How can I stop this from happening?

Using Windows 10.

I added my first site to setting- camera permission this morning and got camera to work. Later went back to site and camera wasn't working. Checked setting which didn't list any site, added the URL again and clicked save. Clicked setting again an no site is listed and camera isn't connecting. HELP! This is for a doctors visit.

I'm running Firefox Dev edition and I cannot get it to load any pages except for Mozilla pages. I have tried all the fixes suggested there and it still refuses to connect. I'm at my wits end. Any hail mary optoins or do I have to reinstall and start again?

I just updated and now everything is larger. The bookmarks toolbar is larger, the tabs are larger... There's barely any room for the page I want to see. How do I go back to the previous version? OR how do I get stuff back to normal? Thank you for any help. It will be appreciated.

I use firefox on both a work and home computer, as well as my phone (iOS). I have sync active on all three devices, yet the synced tabs only ever shows one device's tabs. On both computers, the iOS tabs are all that displays in synced tabs, and on iOS, only one of the two computer's tabs are shown, and often with the wrong name - I haven't found out what determines which computer's tabs shows in the synced tabs menu or which name is used, but it definitely isn't which computer was used more recently, for either requirement.

So I have never had a problem with YouTube up until yesterday, anytime I try to watch a video and click play or anywhere on the video it just has a circle that spins in the middle around a youtube button, or sometimes just a black screen.

I have tried clearing Cookies & Cache, tried in safe mode, tried with a new profile, disabled hardware acceleration, I even uninstalled and re-installed Firefox.

Still for some reason I am unable to watch videos and only on Firefox, it works fine in Chrome and Edge browsers.

I am at a loss on how to fix this, and I really don't want to have to use two browsers for watching videos and navigating the internet.

Any Ideas?

Also my Internet is not the problem, I have Gigabit Fiber.

I have followed the fixes. It will work after I "Refresh Firefox" but goes back to not working again. Should I reinstall Firefox? How do I add this site to the exceptions? Thank you

Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.

We can’t connect to the server at www.cdc.gov.

If that address is correct, here are three other things you can try:

   Try again later.
   Check your network connection.
   If you are connected but behind a firewall, check that Firefox has permission to access the Web.

I had posted this earlier and got a response or at least I was sent a link to a post that supposedly dealt with this issue.

That said, my original post was deleted and I cold not repond.

Because I need to say this "fix" isn't permanent, or perhaps I did it wrong. Nevertheless, the fix only takes as long as I have the browser open. If I close it, and reopen it, my view is overly large again.

So, at least for me, my issue with the view in Firefox has not been solved.

Pressing the scroll button on my mouse produces a page back instead of scroll arrows. This happens on all sites. I have disabled hardware acceleration, but that has no effect on the problem.

I am using latest version of Firefox, on Windows 10.

I am using ff latest ver 103.0.1 on Windows-10-Enterprise-22H2-19045.1865-x64. When I go to drive.google.com/ it redirects me immediately to their support site displaying page : https://support.google.com/drive/answer/6283888?visit_id=##################-##########&p=unsupported_browser&rd=1

hash is a single decimal digit above.

On the support page, there is a button labeled "Update your browser". On clicking that ff opens another tab showing website : https://updatemybrowser.org/

This website says my ff version is 45. I wonder where did they get this number from .... !

So I installed a user agent editor extension ( https://mybrowseraddon.com/custom-useragent-string.html ).

Now updatemybrowser.org says I am using latest ff. But Google Drive still redirects me to their support site.

Same behaviour seen in ff safe mode when all extensions are disabled.

What do I do to access the Google Drive page?

Hello! This is probably one of those intrusive facebook things I won't be able to stop, but when I open messenger in Firefox, it prompts me every! single! time! to download messenger for windows, which I very much don't want to do. It does it via a box over my messages that I have to physically click away. I already have pop-up windows disabled for every site. I went to permissions-- notifications but it wouldn't let me add messenger. Is there anything I can do?

Using Firefox 103.0 on a Mac running Monterey. Since updating to FF 100.0 or possibly 101.0, the BBC News website's videos won't play. I've tried turniing off all privacy/security add-ons and settings but still nothing. Just a grey rectangle with the BBC logo in it (see screenshot).

Safari can play them though. Any ideas?

I have my saved login and password details from another browser in a CSV and would like to import them to Firefox. I initially did not have the 'Import from a File' option in the drop down menu of the Logins and Passwords tab. After following a guide that instructed to set signon.management.page.fileImport.enabled to true in the about:config page, the option appeared. However, the said option is unresponsive to any clicks. The drop down menu simply closes once the option is selected, without any other reaction.

I'm not sure if this is a related problem but I am also unable to use the Import Wizard that appears on performing Alt+F and choosing 'Import From Another Browser...' The Import Wizard window only appears with a message that says "No programs that contain bookmarks, history or password data could be found."

Funnily enough, the 'Browse..' button for adding images under this support question doesn't work either.

After this latest Firefox install, my zoom percentages are wonky. They were set at 100% before but now I have to adjust them to around 70% for the same zoom effect, but that doesn't fix how much taller the tab space is and bookmark space relative to the previous version.

Discord hyperlinks will no longer open when Firefox Developer Edition is selected as my default browser. They open fine in both Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Google Chrome when selected as Windows 11's default browser. When selecting my default browser it would show 2 instances of Firefox Dev but after uninstalling then reinstalling it there is only one instance in the default app list. I'm not really sure where to go from here. Maybe this is an issue with the latest version of Dev Edition or is this an issue with my Windows?

I am attempting to build a script (extension) that will open any focused page in Firefox with Microsoft Edge from the context menu. The intention is to utilise the existing microsoft-edge URL Protocol in Windows instead of a native client.

I'm currently using a Windows 10 desktop computer most of the time, but will need to use a Windows 11 laptop for research travel several times over the next several months.

Will it be possible to copy my profile from Win 10 to the Win 11 computer, use the Win 11 computer for a few weeks, and then copy the profile back to the Win 10 computer?

Or is there something different about Firefox working with Win 10 or Win 11 that would keep this from working for me?

(BTW: Using Sync would probably not be feasible.)

I just restored my bookmarks and found I needed to add some bookmarks to my bookmarks bar. However, I couldn't drag the site's padlock to the bookmarks bar. I have an overflowing bar, but the link didn't go into the overflow area. What's wrong here?
