For Firefox 7.0, the release notes state that "The 'http://' URL prefix is now hidden by default." I actually like having the URL prefix there, and cannot find an option to reenable this feature.

Firefox doesn't wanna update, I check for updates but it doesn't wanna update to version 7 I had this same problem other version in the past so I downloaded the new version of firefox and installed it but now I'm sick of it that it doesn't wanna download the update.....so what is going on here? updates are turned on and I tried manual update thing and not working to!!!!

A test query to websockets.org echo test gets the result: "...the browser doesn't have native support for WebSocket". The same test using Safari or Chrome on a Mac results in: "This browser supports WebSocket". Same problem whether on OS X 10.6 or 10.7. When will Firefox 7 catch up to Safari and Chrome?

I am reading an article on a page and the entire page is reloaded with the article I was reading sometime disappears. Some websites will state that reloading was stopped, most of the don't. Isn't there a choice to prevent reloading without a request?

I open firefox it loads my home page, I click on the "+" in the tab bar to open a new tab and nothing happens, when I go to the drop down menu under file and select new tab no new tab is created. when I open a link from a web page it opens fine in a new tab (I have set the option to open new tab instead of new window when being redirected to a new site.) It worked fine last Thursday but not now - best of luck recreating - looking forward to your resolution - thank you - I am unsure about which plugins are installed nor where to locate that information sorry

Moreover, your register/login page frustrates my Roboform login manager. It fills the register form, when I am registered and will not fill in the login form. The login form and the register form should be on different pages.

I understand that the increased use of video seems to offer shortcuts to information. But it is not a shortcut for hearing impaired or deaf people. If you have a tutorial video and you have a transcript of article that provides the same information, it should be readily visible so that hearing impaired/deaf people can immediately switch to it.

I understand that you're trying to tell me that I have more options if the tabs are on the top, but it's a disconnect for me and so I clicked on the link to get information about how to switch back to tabs just above the web screen. What I got was a page with more arguments about why I should accept tabs on the top.

I clicked on the video hoping that it would be a slide show type of video, instead I got someone talking who I can't hear.

Please direct me to instructions on how to put my tabs just above the web page.

In Firefox 3.6, when I type something specific, like "wikipedia steve jobs" into the url bar, I am taken directly to Wikipedia's page for Steve Jobs, and if I type something less specific, I am taken to a Google search results page for what I typed in the bar (unless it was a URL, obviously); in the current version of Firefox, though, I am taken to a Google search results page for whatever I type in (again, not a URL, obviously), even if the page I am seeking is obvious-- how can I avoid this extra step and regain the Firefox 3.6 "I'm Feeling Lucky" functionality?

In Edit > Preferences, Applications, Content type "mailto", I selected "Use mutt". When I click mailto: links, mutt opens in a gnome-terminal. I want the terminal to be chosen via the alternatives system, using x-terminal-emulator. How does Firefox choose which terminal to use here?

I am running Mac OSX 10.7.1, Lion. I cannot upgrade to the latest Mozilla. It appears to download, but then I am never prompted to complete the installation. Thoughts???

There are several websites and online services that are becoming an issue or are unusable for me because I don't have the most current version of Firefox. But I've tried to update it and cannot. I go to the "Help" pull-down menu, and the "Check For Updates" option is grayed out and un-selectable. Please help!

I like to comparative shop and sometimes compare two products on the same site.

In internet Explorer I just create a duplicate tab and I'm away, two weindows same site, very few clicks.

How do I create a duplicate tab?

When I go to get add-ons (7.0.1), nothing shows up, except the "what are add-ons" info bubble. How do I make this work?. The rest of the functions in that section seem to work. And I can search MY add-ons, but not Available Add-ons.

I don't know how to create a link from the web that I can put into e-mail addresses. Would you please help me? I know it must be very simple because thousands of others do it regularly. Thank you.

When I receive an attached document (Word or OpenOffice), I click on it. I get a Norton Antivirus window that says it's clear and I click on the yellow Download button. Then nothing happens. 1. I don't get the windows that asked Open? or Save?. 2. The documents are not in the Download folder. 3. I reset the downloads to my Documents folder - nothing appears there either. 4. I search my iMac with the file names, and no results show up.

I have been experimenting with Tab Groups and typically when I quit Firefox I go to the red circle at the top left hand side of my screen and it closes. However, when I do this I loose my Tab Groups. I need to know how do I quit Firefox and NOT loose my Tab Groups?
