I run Ubuntu 10.10 LTSP server/client network and DO NOT want to upgrade Ubuntu... too much trouble, nobody can guarantee it will not hammer my LTSP install and besides, Unity is awful. I need newer Firefox due to some frequently used web pages, so I need an install procedure that will not hammer anything. It's a mission critical user environment. If anybody has positive experience with Firefox upgrade in similar environment please advise.

Simple. When I click on the icon. I get an error screen. telling me: cannot find the fozfire.exe file. I'm thoughtly removed it & re installed it, 4 times now. Even went back 2 a prior rev. still nada.

I get a message everytime I access the internet saying that Mozilla would like to make changes to my computer. I did it one time and downloaded all kinds of crap. I was getting pop ups and it slowed everything down. I deleted the stuff I didnt recognize. I finally needed to call Toshiba support to remotely access my laptop and get rid of everything but the message still appears everytime I access the internet. Is this legitimate? I see you automatically update so this is my concern. If it is not legitimate how do I know what to delete off my programs? This is what I have in my programs: Mozilla Maintenance Service and Mozilla 21.0 (x86-en US). Thank you, this is very annoying.

i install firefox in my new pc but in this pc when i try to download video from youtube the file downloaded is in 0 kb i try many application or addons but cant get success but the same application or addons work in my previous pc i have windows 7 the extension are Flash Video Downloader MP4 downloader and the 1 Click Youtube Downloader and the other option showing in addons is VLC Player also all the applications and firefox are updated this is the information i have and beside this if you have any other information required please contact me on my given email id

I opted in to be alerted about and download the Beta releases, but I'm no more interested in that.

So how can I opt out of it so that I will not be alerted about future Beta releases anymore?

i was using mozilla suddenly popped-up latest vesion available i downloaded but when click the run button then after installing when i again clicked in taskbar menu then it never opened; i've tried google troubleshooting like mozilla.exe deletion from end process; then tried also from start menu with %appdata... etc. but no way, failed, i'm disappointed a lot my favorite browser lost . i am irritated with not opening even the button pls. help me . writing from Bangladesh is there any body help me ?

The installation wizard never starts. I select download then, Run then, Yes (to the windows dialog that allows you to approve the installation) and then nothing happens. I never get the Firefox installation wizard.

I am using Windows 7. I have Google Chrome installed.

Hard drive broke. Bought a new one. Fresh Win 7 ultimate install. Fresh FireFox install ver 27. I had saved the xxxxxxxxx.default folder to import the bookmarks into the new install. Following the directions for copy and paste into the correct directory does not work. No bookmarks appear. I have a huge folder(310 MB) within the backup files called Cashe that seems to have a lot of something in it. The file called places.sqlite seems about empty. I don't know if my copy was corrupted or if it actually was that small, 10 MB?

Where are the bookmarks really kept, in places.sqlite? If so I guess they are lost forever. But what is the Cashe folder for?

Tried installing Mozilla firefox on an Acer windows 8 tablet. Although Mozilla indicates it was downloaded it will not run and cannot be found in the list of programs. Tablet Specs are;

Windows 8
Intel r Core TM i3-3217U CPU @1.8 GHz
4 GB Ram 
64 Bit
59.0 GB HD

Trying to sync FF to new computer (from Windows 7 to 8.1). I get the 12 dig code from the new computer and enter it on the old one. Nothing happens. Step 5 in the Sync instructions ("When the code is accepted you will see a Device Connected message and your device will immediately begin syncing. Click Finish to close the setup window. ") doesn't happen. I do not see "Device connected". All that happens is that the box returns to the Welcome! text and asks if I want to set up an account or if I have one already.

On the new computer, nothing changes. The "Next" button under the generated code does not light up.

On my company I'm working on a replacement of 100 virtual Windows machines. The users on the old virtual machines are complaining about the FireFox profile is overwriting the max profile size of the windows profile... Some users have moved the FF profile to a different location and has a size near 300MB. On the new virtuals I really want to move the FF profile automatically on startup or something. So users don't have the problem with the profile size. Is there any way to do this? Maybe with a startup of logon script? Or a policy setting.

I hope someone can help me with this.

Two days ago I started having problems opening Firefox. After rebooting and performing voodoo chants while swinging a dead chicken over my heard, (no help there either) I gave up. I then tried uninstalling with the hopes that re installing would fix the problem. Then I found out that I was unable to even uninstall the program now. I did a Google search for a remedy and one recommendation was to find the help.exe within the Mozilla folder in the Programs file, which I did but when I clicked it, nothing happened. Now I have downloaded and attempted to install a new version of Firefox 28.0 as far as the install goes is to the "run" window. After that, nothing happen, not even waiting for fifteen minutes (random time wait seeing I hadn't just give it time to run its course. Here is my computer info:

I have FF 26.0 when I try to update to 27 or 28 or now 29 it works fine except that every time I open FF I get the "checking add-ons" pop-up and then when FF opens I get the "welcome and what's new" as though it doesn't remember I've already used the new version. There must be a setting somewhere (about:config) that forces FF to remember this is not the first time I've used the new version ...
