My new laptop had a new install of Firefox when I received it, running on a Windows 10 OS. When I installed my bookmarks from a previous back-up (my previous laptop had died) the new installation assigned wrong web addresses to each and every bookmark title. I've tried everything that I can think of to reload my bookmarks and tried to make sense of the help in your FAQ pages. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox but the same issue occurs. The correct titles for my bookmarks appear in the right place, as I'd assigned in my previous laptop. However all the icons are like an empty, wire world icon and most of them don't activate. The ones that do activate a link take me to an entierly unrelated website. When I look at the individual bookmarks under Bookmarks/show all bookmarks, are all incorrect. Many of my passwords still work but some don't. I cannot bookmark a new page - there is just no response at all. I can't delete bookmarks from my Toolbar or from within the 'show all bookmarks' page. What is going on and how can I recover my bookmarks so that I have a functioning Firefox please? Help! I am wasting time both typing in new searches and in trying to fix this! I have even dismantled my old laptop and plugged in the old C Drive to my new one - the drive and all the old data is there and visible but this install of Firefox running on this machine will not accept even the old bookmark data! All the json files that I have seen have no identifying icon - just a blank rectangle as the icon for the file-type. I've even removed the very few plug-ins that I had and gone back to the original install state for Firefox without any joy! That's about as much fault-finding info this non-techie user can give. Hi, I thought Firefox updated automatically so can someone please tell me why this box seemingly opens every time I open Firefox. I am using version 92.01 (64bit) . When Box first appeared I attempted an update and lost all bookmarks etc. would like to know what I'm getting wrong before I go any further. Thanks, John.

Firefox asks me to download an update multiple times a day. When I click to initiate the update I am taken to a marketing page headed with the VPN and no download happens. It has become very irritating. How do I complete the download and stop the constant interruptions?

I added the Mozilla VPN but that wouldn't communicate with my printer. So out of frustration, I uninstalled firefox all together. I then went to the mozilla site (on Edge) and downloaded the app. It completed the installation but when the browser opens it doesn't do anything. I can't move around or open any sites. It's just frozen on New Tab and nothing works. I can't even sign in - I can click on the sign in button but it doesn't do anything.

When I tried downloading the app from chrome, I got the attached text box and the same general result. Firefox opened but didn't work.

I've spent hours today trying to just get the regular browser working (forget about the VPN) and I'm frustrated. I have yet to find a way to call a support desk who can help me in "real time".

i just bought my pc with windows10, i installed windows11 ok, but started having problems keeping firefox as my default browser, msn outlook would pop up after i signed into msn calendar app, ended up resetting my computer and mistakenly uninstalled windows11 in the process, i seem to be compounding my problems as i go, im now confused and i need someone to connect to my computer and fix for me, if someone can do this i would be relieved, please let me know if anyone can help..

Some how Yahoo jumped in and displayed a yahoo Home page with no way of deleting it. I tried installing Firfox..But it became stuck half way..what should I do to get back to Firefox ?

Hello, I recently migrated to a new MAC and now when I download a file and click on "show all downloads", it opens the about:downloads tab and not the downloads list from the library. Is there any way to force Firefox to open the Library when I click on see all download please? Thanks

I have an older PC that I have been using with Win 7 as its OS. It's still there on one of the three HDDs that's in the PC. I have since added a fourth drive, which is a WD Blue SSD which is 560 MB/s big, and has Windows 10 installed and running on it, when I start up this PC.

How do I go about replacing the Microsoft software with Firefox and Thunderbird? The Win 10 software is different than Win 7 so I don't know how to use very well. And the Win 10 instructions don't exactly match up with the Win 10 that is installed on my PC, so if some-body could list some of the steps that are more accurate than what MS has given, I would appreciate it.

So earlier I downloaded Firefox for my Macbook Air and made the change from Chrome to Firefox. I followed all the instructions online of transferring data from Chrome to Firefox and all seemed great. I just restarted my computer because I was having issues with my internet, and went to reopen everything again. Firefox isn't saved like a normal application like it should, it's still acting like I'm installing it from the .dmg each time. Also, it hasn't saved any of the transferred data/settings I did earlier today. I have no idea what's going on?

I use Scenesource to download items of interest, after scrolling down to find what I want, the settings do not allow me to get to the last page I started from and goes back to the first page. I know that I found the setting before but at my age I cant seem to get to it anymore. Can someone tell me how to get that back?

Cannot get rented/paid Youtube or Netflix video to run. Message "! Sorry, there was an error licensing this video" pops up onYoutube screen every time when hitting play button. "Free" Youtube videos work just fine, paid content gets this message. Have firefox-9.5.0.2.ta.bz2, use Linux updated software. Followed all previous suggested Support, cannot seem to find fixes that included DRM, Safemode switch, etc. Thanks for previous help, still stuck... anymore ideas appreciated. Also, difference between running "normal and beta", please explain, and how to know "differences?"

I was using firefox by downloading it from the website and it was working fine. Then I try searching it in the MS Store to see if updates are possible from there or not and mistakenly downloaded it again. But I cannot see any desktop icon of Firefox other than the one I was previously using. If I go to the MS Store and try opening the app from there then a brand new Firefox opens which I simply cannot delete. I have even went to the Control Pannel to find out if there's another Firefox but there isn't. I am kinda worried as Firefox is my primary browser and I use it for literally every internet related activity. So please help me in uninstalling this second Firefox program which is unwanted here.
