I accidentally deleted Firefox ESR that worked fine for years on my old Macbook Pro laptop (2009) running El Capitan OS 10.11.6. Now I can't reinstall it unless my OS is a minimum of 10.12. I don't want to mess with attempting an OS upgrade for fear of losing files and photos. This computer is strictly a nostalgic backup that I would like to keep functioning for a while longer. Any way around this?

I have today commissioned a new HP laptop running Windows 10.

I have downloaded Firefox and done a straightforward installation. I have viewed a couple of web pages but notice that when right clicking there is no longer a screenshot facility in the little menu box that appears. Trying Control + Shift + S does not work either.

I am writing this using Firefox 93.0 for Linux Mint on an old Toshiba Satellite and I have the facility - both right click and keyboard.

Has the facility been discontinued in the later version?

For some reason (probably Microsoft vandalism), Firefox was removed from my startup programs a few weeks ago. I looked in the MS list of apps and saw 2 versions of x64 Firefox, -GB and -US. Being in GB, I chose to uninstall the US version. Then Firefox stopped working. It was not longer shown on my desktop, and had disappeared from the start menu. But the GB version was still listed in the app list (209MB), but I cannot find out how to start it. IOBit suggests it is buried in ../Appdata/local. It does not appear when I use the taskbar search for Firefox.

So I reinstalled Firefox, but the tool gave no options on which version to install, nor where to install it. The US version was reinstalled on my C: drive. Just going round in circles.

How do I solve the problem? Thank you.

We have 2 desktop computers, both on the same wifi internet wireless network. On 1 we can ad the Ublock Origin extension no problem. But except for only 2 times, the other computer says installation aborted because add-on appears to be corrupt. Like I said, we have gotten it to load twice but both times it disappeared and now it won’t load. I’m not sure how it can be a connectivity issue, since they both access the internet from the same source. Is it that the problem system has Window 11 and the other 10? Why would it install twice and then disappear? Note that as a test I have uninstalled Ublock and then reinstalled it no problem on the Windows 10 machine. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

Unable to install Firefox on WIN11. Wants to create a profile but get "An unexpected error has prevented your changes from being saved. (This is a new Desktop unit I received today and have not had any problems with WIN10.

I have a home desktop running OpenBSD -current (snapshots), and FIreFox is obtained from the OpenBSD package system.

When I update to a new snapshot and updated packages, the preferred display setting (dim) is lost. I don't have to log in again, but I have to reset the display.

I don't know where that selection is stored, but I'd like to make it persistent.

Can I revert to the previous version of Firefox pre-this update - I find this GUI very difficult to manage. Everything comes up too large - and websites I'm accustomed to operating on are totally reorganized and have become hard to use.

I use firefox and duckduckgo exclusively.

I bought into the new offerings on security.

Half way through the Authy install on my Mac desk top, I have a screen with a security code that refreshes in less than a minute.

But the screen does not say where the code must be entered. (!! *&^%^&&* !!)

The 'help' on authy is terrible. I guess this has never happened to anyone else. (NOT)

Is there anyone on this side who can relate to an old guy who longs for the command line days and really did not welcome the coming of windows?

In other words, I get tech stuff, but not the stuff that thinks its helpful when its not.

Anyone understand this?

I closed my browser and a "new version" of Firefox was installed. MY ENTIRE HISTORY WAS ERASED!!! I CANNOT "RESTORE PREVIOUS SESSION".... I AM N O T HAPPY! WHY WOULD YOU DO A THING LIKE THIS? I recently purchased a dell refurbished computer, I set it up went and downloaded fire fox without any trouble. I restarted computer today and it would not accept password I called DiscountcomputerDepot.com help and they helped me to restart and they told me they would have to reinstall windows from computer. So I lost all my programs. when it restarted said would have to update windows. Have always used Firefox, starting crashing this past month, cleaned buffer,, rebooted and now I cannot open or run Firefox. I had to open Google Chrome just to get here, and I hate Google. Running Windows 10 PRO on desktop. Senior citizen not a computer professional, consider me a kindergarten with a manual Corvette. Please help.
