I transferred by Firefox bookmarks from my old computer to my new Windows 11 computer. I think they transferred fine. But to access them, I have to click on Bookmarks and then go down to Manage bookmarks and click on it. Then I see them on the page that has all the Import and Backup access on it. How do I get them to appear in the side panel as a list like they did on my old computer?

I had the situation maybe a year ago. I use the Firefox profile manager.

I just updated to 127.02, and now not I'm getting this because for whatever reason, since the update, I am somehow on the beta channel, but only with this profile. I just opened two other profiles, and neither is on the beta channel, although i don't know what "Firefox is being updated by another instance" means.

I don't know if it's just a coincidence, but I'm also just noticing that a number of my addons settings have reverted to default.

I started getting "can't load XPCOM" errors when starting Firefox. I did a full uninstall, then attempted to install the new version, I still get the same error during the install.

All of a sudden, I can't download any attachments, no matter what file type it is. I've reset Firefox to it's default, restarted, everything suggested. I don't have the first clue as to what this is.

Since the latest update Firefox doesn't show up in the browser list. I don't want to uninstall to reinstall because I have too many settings in my browser that I don't wish to reset. Please solve the problem.

Hi, I keep getting this error when I try to download any extension. I also get an automatic download fail as soon as I try to download anything. I have tried several solutions such as changing privileges to reinstalling firefox entirely. I have checked other browsers on my computer and it is just firefox.

MY Windows 11 laptop crashed and OS may need to be reinstalled. Will this wipe out my Firefox browser bookmarks. I would like to save the bookmarks somehow. How do I do this without access to that system?

i have been using Tor.browser as my default web browser on Macbook for months. Firefox is my 2nd, but two days ago, i was kicked out of Tor, cannot download/use it anymore and the reasons given are as follows:

"Tor.browser quit unexpectedly. Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information." Ignore Report Reopen (options)

when i have deleted and tried to re-install tor browser, I get the notification that

"Tor Browser quit unexpectedly". No matter what I do

 (I have since done both, obviously & have tried many other things, including trying to Time Travel, which I am not 100% sure how to yet).  the Report states Firefox is responsible for blocking Tor.  how did this happen and suggestions on how to fix.  I have to access Tor to find some pertinent files etc. I have stored there.  thanks

I installed a dev version of Firefox to test a plugin.

Then I uninstalled the dev version, but now none of my profiles on the regular version work...

Please help me, I really need my old browser history and cookies.

When I try to use one of my old profiles, I get "You've launched an older version of Firefox" and it tells me to either Create New Profile or Exit.

I read online that people add "-allow-downgrade" to the Windows shortcut, but this does nothing for me.

I need step by step instructions to create my NEW account, because I couldn’t enter the code to confirm my account, and now I can’t sign in , or anything. I would like to sync everything as well. Please advise. Thank you

I have been trying to solve this for a few days now. I tried to watch Netflix when it said, "Firefox is installing components needed to play the audio or video on this page. Please try again later."

I found out this was due to Widevine not being installed AT ALL on my browser for some reason. The plugins manager has been saying that it will "be installed shortly" for a week now. I already tried toggling DRM off and on multiple times. I already tried using troubleshooting mode. I already checked GMP preferences to make sure nothing relating to Widevine was set to 'false'. I already tried turning off my antivirus long enough to try everything again and still nothing has changed. I do not have any VPNs running either. I am attaching a screenshot of what the browser console shows when I toggle DRM off and on again and try to run Netflix. I am also attaching what the gmp toggles say. Please help me figure out what is wrong!

A firefox support article told me to reinstall firefox from snap on ubuntu, without mentioning anything about the profile, settings, and bookmarks. Now everything is gone.

Is there any way to recover my local profile?

I don't think it was synced properly with my other devices
