Hi, Does someone know how to install Firefox on Ubuntu Touch ?

I did install "Ubuntu touch" on my smartphone few weeks ago.

But without my favorite Firefox Navigator, this is useless for me !

Even a older version of Firefox will be fine. All i need for now, is a Sync of my configuration (bookmarks and Passwords Manager).

FF89 told me I needed to download and install FF90, unlike previous updates, which have happened automatically. It said my FF89 data (bookmarks, customizations, etc.) would be pulled in automatically. Alas, FF90 has not pulled any data from FF89 nor given me any prompts to import from FF89. Any ideas why this happened (or didn't happen, as the case may be)?

I was trying to download this addon to control Instagram videos but I can't download it because Firefox is telling me to download Firefox for some reason. The settings tell me I'm fully updated to version 90.0.2.

Hello,

I just migrated back to Firefox from the new Chromium Edge Brower because many functions didn't work properly anymore like CAPTCHA and so on. However, I often downloaded many images with Edge that had the same names and when I saved them Edge automatically added a (1),(2) and so on to the end of the filename when it saw that there was a file with the same name but in Firefox it don't. I don't know if there is already a function that I just oversaw but if anyone can help, I would be very grateful for that.

I just update the Firefox browser to the newest version 91.0 (64 bit) yesterday, everything is fine. After downloading a bunch of files and some of them were failed, I hit the clear download button and it cleared all of my download name files even those failed download files ''''WITHOUT A WARNING''''. In older versions of Firefox, in the same situation, it just left those failed download files so I can easily manage what I were missing. I can't find the name of those file anymore because I set the browser in private mode, don't remember the history and I can't get back to the sources where the all download has been taken. I'm running on Windows 10 64 bit, everything runs ok, except this. I can't also find anywhre mentions this change in the new version of Firefox 91 and no way of get it back on the Internet. I'm a 15 years Firefox user, but I've never seen Firefox developers "Stupid and careless" like they are now. I don't want to be impolite but I can't stand it anymore. The Firefox developers, Please get back the lovely old Firefox browser for me!

Hey all, recently decided to check out whether Firefox will run a bit more smoothly on an aging MacBook of mine then the Opera Beta I still had installed, but I found myself unable to import settings and data from Opera, which is strange as I have been able to import from other Chromium browsers before. The only option the Import Wizard gives me is to import from Safari. I have been able to find what I presume are the files where history, passwords, etc.. are stored on both Opera and Firefox, but I'm guessing they are a different format and I can't just replace them. Anyone able to help here?

Information that might be useful: MacBook air 2015 early running the 12.0 Beta (21A5294g) Firefox version 91.0 Opera Beta version 78.0.4093.103 (both browsers are at their newest respective version)

Thanks in advance!

Hello Guys,

How does the browser update on ESR channel? We currently use version 78. I've checked about:config and could not find "app.update.background.enabled"

We use this in an enterpise environment, meaning users can't update or install anything on their machines.

According to: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-esr-release-cycle

It updates via "the application update service". But what this service is, is not described.

Cheers,

Abdel

As I work towards rolling out FF91esr to 250 PCs, and having the UI almost usable, I need to be able to integrate a number of preferences to each browser.

Does the group policy cover EVERY preference available?

I read on gHacks that Mozilla ripped out yet another feature - the ability to use the user.js preferences file. I must admit, I haven't confirmed this yet as I've only just finished reading it. I believe the user.js could not lock settings anyway?

I do have about 80-100 settings that I want to integrate. I can't simply replace their prefs.js because they will have undoubtedly set some preferences for themselves, which we do not forbid (yet).

So, without wiping out any preferences users may have set for themselves, how can I integrate the settings I need, assuming the GPO doesn't cover every conceivable preference?

disclaimer: Yes, I realize it is possible that some of the settings I'm going to integrate *might* conflict with preferences they've set for themselves. That will be dealt with internally by policy communications.

Hi

I'm currently using FF with firefox sync active for tabs. I'm going to reinstall my computer and I'd like once reconfigured my FF account in it that it automatically reopens all tabs I had previously opened before reinstall. Till now I was looking in Sync menu, find back old computer and reselect each one of tab to reopen it in new instance of FF but it's pretty boring process. Is there an easier way to do that and if so how ?

Thanks, best,

I always prefer to download updates myself, to then upload each to VirusTotal.com to see what the results are from the many scanners VT uses, before installing any software obtained from over the Internet. VT always begins the upload to the VT website by checking for a hash and this worked prior to Firefox 91.0.x, but has failed for all three updates since the last version before 91.0, so failing for 91.0, 91.0.1 and 91.0.2. The same thing also happens with Thunderbird 91.0.1 from Thunderbird.net, adding this note in case you can communicate regularly with the TBird team.

I'm glad to do the downloads, verifications and installs myself, for if anything ever goes wrong, then I have the downloaded installers to just re-install Ffx. But given that a hash isn't found for the downloaded 91.0.x updates, then I of course wonder what Mozilla is using when performing automatic updates. After all, what we download surely should be what Mozilla uses as well. So, I'll definitely stick to my preferred way of doing updates and definitely hope that this missing hash problem gets corrected very soon.

My current browser is still 90.0.2. It definitely is a "bit" buggy, flaky, often quite annoyingly so, but its hash was found and is still found by VT, so ....

Hallo,
