Dear Firefox-Community, alot of our customers are using firefox esr on alot of Azure Virtual Desktop or RDS Session Hosts.

Now we have the issue that the auto update background service is not working without the first user which started Firefox.

Example: New Session Host with Firefox -> User X starts Firefox -> Firefox creates scheduled Task in user x context. If User X doesn't log in to the Session host no automatic Updates are installed.

We've activated the maintenance service

Is there any way to allow autoupdate without user x being logged in to the session host?

I'm on firefox 118.0.2 The latest is 118.0.2.

Multiple times per day i get hit with that extremely annoying popup telling me there's an update available. What's the deal here? Is version 118.0.2 getting updates and the version stays the same (which kinda goes against semver, which 118.0.2 suggests)? Or is firefox just a bit stupid and doesn't understand updates?

I really don't want to see that very annoying pop up every day. Especially since i'm on the latest release.

For three days now I've tried to reactivate my FireFox browser on my home desktop PC. Each time I get to the part where it wants me to enter a code from my authenticator Mozilla won't accept it, so I elect to have a code emailed to my GMAIL account, of which that email never is delivered (yes, I've added accounts@firefox.com to my Google Gmail address book.). Eventually my account is locked and I wait till the next day to repeat this process all over again. Why is it this complicated? Unlike Google Chrome, which just works.

Firefox was gone from my taskbar and could not access previous site with all my saved info. Had to download new browser, but have none of my old info. And what happened to it all?

Firefox has re3cently changed in so far as it still thinks 'old' version is still installed after an update.

Hello so I am a Firefox user that when I download a disc image from any version of Windows it just straight up fails so is there any way to fix this? (i used voice commands to type this bug)

I downloaded and signed into Firefox on my new computer, and would like to transfer my currently open tabs from my other computer, however I an not given the option that the article I found instructs me to do. When I right click on an open tab, the drop down menu does NOT include the option "Send Tab To Device," so what am I supposed to do?

Audible Sync: until a couple of days ago have happily used audible sync to download and install talking books on a sandisk MP3 player: In the middle of listening to an older MP3 it decided that it needed to be activated. I was unable to activate device. Ended up re installing the app. A new MP3 was activiated. Now though the app is unable to download any books from the website! Keeps telling me there is a problem. At one point was seemingly unable to download and then reinstall the audiblesync app. Then discovered an update from Microsoft had stopped the installation of any app that wasn't from their store. This issue is now rectified.

Have consulted Audible help! Followed all their advice with no result. Awaiting further possible solutions. I wondered if there might be anything via the mozilla/ firefox browser that could be preventing the download. As you may tell am exploring all options. I listen to talking books ALL the time. Would appreciate any ideas. do hope this makes sense.

I had to reinstall my operating system on my iMac and now Firefox will not download any files. I have tried various things, but nothing seems to work. When I use Safari, downloads work normally. Thanks

Why does Firefox update so often. I lose all of my trust settings every time it updates and it is really beginning to irritate me. I have to reset everything. If this cannot be sorted out I will move to another browser that doesn't make me waste so much time resetting everything on a weekly basis

How do I completely delete all traces of prior Firefox install? I believe my browser became corrupted. I uninstalled it and then went to the C drive and deleted all associated folders. As far as I know, I have no files saved as webpages but I do not know how to confirm in Windows 10. When I download Firefox I get the message saying a copy has been installed on my computer before. How do I completely remove any trace of Firefox so I can fresh install?
