I created a program which adds a certificate to Firefox to communicate with a websocket at localhost. To use it with https, I had to add a certificate to certificate stores, including the one Firefox uses. To Firefox, the command used:
certutil.exe -d [cert8.db path] -A -t "TCu,Cuw,Tuw" -n [name] -i [crt path]
Friday I noticed that it stopped working. I add, no issue reported. I use -L, the certificate is there. I even looked at Tools > Options > Advanced > Certificates, and it is there. But Firefox keep saying it's not trustable. Already closed and opened the browser.
I saw there was a update 13th June. Does it changed something about certificates part?

I develop a Shopify app and anytime I try to login to a Shopify stores admin panel. Firefox locks up and spins the CPU all the way up. I then have to force quit.
To replicate go to any Shopify store and add "/admin" to the domain.

Using firefox developer edition, aurora update channel, 60.0b2 (64-bit), macOS 10.13.3. The functionality of the bookmarks sidebar has changed recently: command-clicking folders in the side bar used to be a shortcut to "open all in tabs" for that folder. Now command-clicking selects that folder for multiple selection. Additionally the new behaviour is inconsistent with command-clicking a leaf node, which opens that specific bookmark in a new tab.
The old behaviour was incredibly useful for having categories of folders to open while still being able to select specific bookmarks. I think the new behaviour would be much better for this use case if you could multiple select a combination of folders and bookmarks, and additionally if after multiple selection there was an option for "open all in tabs". Currently having multiple folders selected does not have this option. Was the change intended? Is the only alternative (outside of enabling bookmarks toolbar) individually clicking bookmarks?

We have a client that used to run on local computers running the latest ESR version, they recently changed to a terminal server environment and during the setup 59.0.1 made it onto their new setup. Multiple issues have arisen that were not present on the old system and we need to move them back to the ESR version on the terminal server environment. I read online that you cannot just directly import any profile versions 55.0 and up to earlier versions so I am asking if I can instead use a mozilla account to sync over their data instead without causing a catastrophe, and if anyone happens to know what I might expect afterwards if this could potentially work.

- The error in the console for each script/style CDN resource is: None of the "sha256" hashes in the integrity attribute match the content of the subresource.
- The error message in the network tab for each resource is: The connection used to fetch this resource was not secure

Steps to reproduce
You can reproduce the problem with one of the above URLs and place it directly in the URL of the FireFox browser. The resource should load in the browser window but after pressing CTRL+F5 at least one time (could be up to 5 times) an error will appear. I can duplicate this from multiple PCs although we are located in the Netherlands so maybe a timing issue or something? This does not happen with any other resources from other CDNs that we are using like (we use integrity checks with these as well):

My question
Is this an issue that is specific to cdnjs and they must resolve this or is this an issue with FireFox or is this an issue with how we are requesting the resource? Is there anything else that we can do to get the ball rolling on fixing this (depending on the actual source of the problem)?
As a side note we also test our software on Google Chrome, MS Internet Explorer, MS Internet Explorer 11, MS Edge, and Opera and we have

We have an application that was integrated with several other legacy applications in the organization. We started upgrading our application to HTML 5 standards to make it work with all modern browsers such as Firefox, Chrome and Edge. Now the problem is that, our application has redirect links to 3 to 5 legacy applications that were coded for IE 7 and no where in the migration path. When the users click on these links while working on our application, Firefox opens a blank page, making them as blockers for our application uplift. 1) is there a way to force a link to open in IE while the parent page is launched using Firefox ? I have seen this link : https://stackoverflow.com/questions/43615678/force-a-link-in-i-e-to-open-in-firefox , but this is for the opposite requirement...open Firefox from IE. 2) how do you run applications requiring .cab files on Firefox ? if there is an answer for this, we don't need to worry about #1.

I have an extension with id setup in manifest like this:

which uses indexedDB(PouchDB). I installed that extension from addons.mozilla.org, disabled, installed temporarily version for developing and Firefox removes data of both extensions(cuz they have the same id) every time I remove only temporarily version.
This does not happen when I don't set id in manifest(temporarily version has random id in this case), but it's not a solution cuz some API's and Android version of Firefox requires id to be set manually
How to prevent Firefox from removing data of normal extension when I remove temporarily one?
Just in case someone wants to reproduce the issue:
1. Install this extension https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tagit/?src=search 2. Go to extension's page (button with eyes on browser's panel) 3. Go to "Tags" page and create any tag(write something and press Enter) 4. Disable this extension on about:addons page 5. Clone its repository and checkout to commit where id is in manifest `git clone https://github.com/DevAlone/tagit.git; git checkout 8e0d04201865fd7b7543b167279a045c89408d5c` 6. Install dependencies and build `npm install; npm run build` 7. Install that temporarily extension(`build` dir) on about:debugging page 8. Remove that temporarily extension on about:debugging page 9. Enable normal extension on about:addons page 10. Go to the Tags page again to see that database is gone

I'm making automatic installer for special Firefox extensions. I have read couple of articles about that, but none of the described methods are not helped. What I tried to do:
- Placed .xpi file and unpacked unpacked extension directory in %FF_DIR%\browser\extensions - Placed .xpi file and unpacked unpacked extension directory in %FF_DIR%\extensions - Placed unpacked extension directory in another directory and added record in registry (`HKLM\Software\Mozilla\Firefox\extensions`, key is extension id and value is full path to unpacked extension)
In all ways name of unpacked extension directory was:
- Random name
- ID from install.rdf #1 (`{ec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384}` for example)
- ID from install.rdf #2 (`prism@developer.mozilla.org` for example)
And, as i said, all methods don't give me expectable result. Firefox don't show extensions in list and don't show any notification. How can i solve it? What actual method using in current version of FF? Target browser is Firefox 41, system - Windows 7 x64 Thanks!

Hi all; apologies for the long post.
All of the major browsers recently dumped applets or intend to, including Firefox. I have spent the last five years developing a ranking engine web site and software based around a 64,839 line Applet that needs to pass customised ranking criteria back to the server once the user has finished modifying the preset criteria to their needs (the ranking criteria is stored as graphs).
Web Start is simply not going to do the job and its too big a project to start from scratch and rebuild it in something else. The whole project, including test data SQL code is over 234,000 lines of code and was due to be launched in March next year. Seriously, they could not have picked a worse time to dump Applets.
The following is a bit of an overview of the engine. Please; to any Mozilla staff reading this, this engine is well worth supporting...
Even if just one browser supported Applets, I could convince people to switch browsers. This technology will change the web and computing like no other, and will attract a lot of users, so I would please ask that Mozilla consider reinstating the option of running Applets. The web site is only a product ranking engine for retail products at present, but will expand into other areas at a latter date. It can capture a knowledgeable expert's ranking knowledge, for virtually any retail product, and then make it available for anyone to use at the click of a button.
The engine is based on an abstract theory for how the human brain uses neural networks to rank things for us. The engine is capable of ranking pretty much anything the human brain can rank. Like the human brain, it is capable of ranking entities that have absolutely no attributes in common within the ranking criteria (I'm not really sure what that can be used for yet). It can also use any attribute, that the brain uses to rank things, for which we have no formal system of measurements. This is possible through the use of graphs to capture, edit and store the ranking criteria. Essentially, if an entity type has describable attributes, then it can be ranked by this engine.
If the user is always willing to accept the highest ranked entity, then it can be used to capture a large number of decision processes which use ranking of a set of options, and which do not make use of the imagination. It can then accurately emulate that decision process. This technology will allow Robotics, AI and Software Agents to make a large number of decisions the way that we do.
This theory is part of a wider theory for how the human brain generates most all emotions and feelings, including those for interactions and the Ego, using neural networks. This theory was developed over a period of 17 years. The ranking engine was merely a byproduct of this work.
This is no pie in the sky theory, the engine has been fully functional for over two years, and is currently ranking 1225 digital cameras using 89 attributes. It is only the background administration of the web site that needs finishing. I also have an Australian Provisional Patent "METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR RANKING ENTITIES - AU2016900828" (http://www.ipaustralia.com.au/applicant/wegner-ronald-robert/patents/AU2016900828/). My patent attorney firm, Spruson & Ferguson based in Sydney Australia, would never allow a hoax to tarnish their reputation.
If anyone at Mozilla is reading this, please consider keeping the option of Applets!

I have created a website using Firefox as my browser, and tested it on all platforms and using laptop, phone, ipad. I'm seeing that the logo I created and one of the images which look good on Firefox are greyscale in Chrome and Safari. All the other colours look good and I'm at a loss. If it was all of them, I could understand, but it's not. I suspect this is a common query, and I'm sorry to bother you with this because I'm going round in circles on the support forums and everywhere. I hope this is the right forum to ask this question. I have a plugin that I have created. (XPI file). I am looking to push to a few client machines and install the plugin silently. I have administrative rights on the machines. One way I tried to do this was to create a folder in the ...\browser\extensions folder and name it with the ID of the plugin. Then I extracted the contents of the XPI file. Then I restarted the browser and the plugin was installed. However, it is disabled. Is there any way to make the plugin enabled or will the user always have to manually enable it?

Since I upgraded to Firefox Quantum, when I go to the login page, I can't enter my login details anymore. The field is not clickable. It works on other browsers.
Firefox does warn me that the website is insecure, but how can I go through anyway ?
